Last year’s Future Sole 2009 winner Austin Jermacans saw his Jordan Melo M6 design be produced, released, and worn by Carmelo Anthony during an NBA game and by the Syracuse Orangemen in the 2010 NCAA March Madness Tournament. It’ll be tough to follow up that performance but 15-year-old Allen Largin’s winning design of the Future Sole 2010 Competition has some high expectations as well. Largin flew out to Denver with his Jordan Melo M7 design to meet with Carmelo Anthony, and during that meeting, Anthony got an advanced look at the next shoe he will wear this season. Carmelo’s embraced the Jordan Brand Future Sole competition and credits the young designers for their outstanding design, pointing to the moment during which he will wear the shoes in a game as “their moment”.
