The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 in Metallic Platinum was a summertime quickstrike release, giving Griffey fans another option in their AGM1 rotation. If you missed out on your chance to get those, it appears that these will release for a wider audience at nationwide retailers, like Eastbay. The Air Griffey Max 1 may very well be one of the best Retro releases of all time and Nike’s only shown us the tip of the iceberg, so don’t sleep on these releases because a niche collection’s a-brewin’. As stated before Eastbay will have these available later this month but is currently available now as a pre-order, so head there to reserve your pair.

UNDEFEATED is quickly filling their ‘five strikes’ with Converse collaborations.  This’ll be the fourth such tag team effort, each on the same model, the UNDFTD x Converse Poorman Weapon.  Crafted in flight jacket-inspired nylon, these joints pick up where black, olive green and navy pairs left off, going the (cool) grey route for the perfect autumn/winter look.  This leaves white as the most likely (and perhaps only remaining military uniform-based) colorway for a future drop, but we’re getting ahead of ourselves.  The grey UNDFTD Poorman Weapon will touch down soon enough for you to give thanks, with a Black Friday release demanding you make some tough choices.  Click the jump below for more photos and let us know how you’re going to handle the Black Friday sneaker rush.  via Eddie Cruz

We haven’t seen a Foamposite x Air Jordan just yet but we have come close in the Air Jordan 1 Anodized released as well as the Air Jordan Six Rings in Dark Neon Royal. While the material used isn’t Foamposite, the satiny finish, translucent outsole, and choice of color is a clear call-out to the Nike Air Foamposite One in the same colorway. Sneaker News previewed this sample some time ago and for the devoted Six Rings fans, this upcoming release should be an outstanding hit. In addition to Dark Neon Royal, you can also expect a Metallic Black colorway of the Six Rings in a similar motif, and perhaps more Foamposite colorways will be on the way. Tokyo-based fashion label Deluxe has been collaborating with Vans for a few years now, and their latest tag team effort is every bit as clean as the previous pairs.  Appearing in a mix of buttery smooth leather and tumbled nubuck, these Deluxe x Vans Zapato del Barcos are as simple as it gets with an all black upper atop a white sole.  The Zapato del Barco has a the boat shoe’s traditional around-the-heel laces, and with the traditional brown leather offering a nice contrast and a reminder that sneaker collabos don’t require convoluted themes to look beautiful.  We have more pictures awaiting your click on the jump below and Japanese buyers will be able to grab a pair for pre-order from Dedue.

The Nike Royalty High might be the ideal Nike Sportswear high-top for the ladies because it had the ‘skinny’ before the Dunk High Skinny. The Royalty does in fact feature a slimmer, form-fitting construction with a low-profile toe and pinched rear ankle, and the ladies might appreciate that more than they might a bulkier shoe. This new pair features a black upper with a black patent leather swoosh, but the rear heel features an interesting graphic pattern composed of intricate lines formed by stitch-patterns, and the inner lining features a vibrant blue color for contrast. The odds were stacked against Team SneakerNews in Week 3 of the FLuD Watches “Barksdale & Bell” fantasy basketball league. It was bad enough that we had a short bench already, but some unfortunate NBA scheduling also left us with significantly less games than our opponent over the course of the week. Despite the obstacles, Team SN kept it within reach all week and were lucky enough to come away with a respectable 4-4-1 tie against the FLuD Umlauts, thanks especially to some missed Hakim Warrick free throws late on Sunday. The squad is getting a little healthier and we’ll be looking to stay unbeaten as we take on the guys from IM King.  Check out our current standings and roster after the jump and we’ll keep you posted on our path to fantasy glory.

Amar’e Stoudemire – While it didn’t help the Knicks win too many games this week, our first round pick (11th overall), Amar’e is finally starting to put up the kind of numbers we expected from him. This week, Stat averaged just under 23 points and 8 boards with 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks providing some nice across the board production.

There aren’t many players like Manu Ginobili; he’s won an NBA Championship, an Olympic Gold Medal, and a Euroleague Championship in his career, and clearly he takes winning with him wherever he goes. Ginobili’s name is up there in the list of greatest International players to ever play in the NBA and his hometown hero status in Argentina means he is a great marketing tool for Nike. You might remember the Nike Dunk Low ‘Manu Ginobili’ of 2006 that featured the same colorway and a different PE logo, so this Nike Zoom Hyperfuse PE isn’t a big surprise because he’s been wearing PEs for a long while. Although Manu missed out on the 2010 FIBA World Championship, he would’ve worn this particular colorway of the Hyperfuse, featuring a new PE logo. The release of the Air Jordan XIII ‘Altitude’ was confirmed for early December but whether or not it would be an Asia-exclusive, like last year’s Air Jordan III ‘True Blue’, was still yet to be confirmed. Well, it looks like select Jordan Brand retailers in the states are getting them because SoleFly in Miami will be one confirmed release spot for this upcoming Retro. The Altitude XIII released first in 2005 and was worn by a number of NBA ballers like Nate Robinson and even Jalen Rose during his days as a New York Knick, and the slightly altered 2010 version should be a popular choice once it becomes available. Jordan Brand has high hopes for December sales and the Altitude XIII should help that cause, so be sure to check the inventory of your local Jordan Brand purveyor and cop these on December 4th.
