Since when did duck boots become cool? It probably started whenever streetwear started to self-consciously acknowledge its roots in American standards and head toward a more ‘mature’ look. The Nike Woodside brought together our beloved Nike Air with waterproof styling last year, but this latest mega-collabo from New Balance Japan and co. might be the single best duck hybrid yet. The Undefeated x Stussy x hectic New Balance H574J ‘Ducky’ could be put on display as perhaps a defining moment for this era of sneaker design. It started with the iconic 574 runner, which became the H574J trail shoe and is now transformed with a rubber mudguard and impeccable outdoor colorup into something familiar yet entirely new. Enjoy a closer look after the jump cos these are a Japan-only drop when they hit select retailers on December 4th.

this is the epitome of streetwear fucking classic menswear and using the child for welfare money since we've grown up a bit….
