The NBA’s big Christmas Day matchup is shaping up quite nicely. LeBron James will bring the improving Miami Heat and his Nike LeBron 8 V2 ‘Christmas’ to Staples Center to take on the LA Lakers and star guard Kobe Bryant. Kobe also has a special Nike Basketball sneaker on the way, one he hopes will help steal the focus of the festivities, along with a big ‘W’. The Zoom Kobe series changed how we thought about ankle support and the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Grinch’ potentially offers a similar change of heart in how we look at colorways. Sneakers are traditionally blocked based on their natural construction lines, but with the ZKVI’s one piece upper and scaly design, we’ve got the potential for some crazy new ideas.
