According to VP Jennifer Haiken, Classic Kicks was founded on the premise that “In New York City, there’s supposed to be everything,” imaginable in terms of sneaker selection. No doubt NYC is the global capital of sneakerheadism and another boutique has offered a collaboration from their spot in the boroughs. NoHo’s number one sneaker destination designed a pack of brightly colored Puma R698 runners, each of which offers up some clear early ’90s inspiration in its colorway. All three pairs are crafted of rich suede and leather with soft padded Lycra sockliners and each comes with a neoprene laptop bag bearing the Trinomic logo. Last I heard, it wasn't that they necessarily 'closed', but were shut down for a bit due to a lease dispute with the landlord. I sincerely hope Classic Kicks re-opens…one of the best spots in NYC.
