Nike ACG Air Max Bakin’ Posite Boot – Black | Available

Certainly one of the Nike’s highest priced shoes in recent memory, the Nike ACG Air Max Bakin’ Posite rode the Foamposite wave into the Holiday 2010 season as the must-have Nike Boot of the holiday. Drawing inspiration from the Nike Air Bakin’, which was recognized more for its controversial logo rather than the design itself, the ACG Air Max Bakin’ Posite Boot first arrived last month in the loud cranberry colorway. Available now is the classic matte-black Foamposite upper and midsole; if you can recall the earlier previews of this shoe, the silver midsole section has been removed in favor of a tonal-black offering. If you’ve been looking forward to a pair of these, Long Island’s Extra Butter just got these in, but you can also find yourself a pair on eBay.

I bought these in the cranberry colorway off ebay thinking they would be a rugged winter boot that would keep my feet comfortable and warm during the daily walk to work. I was wrong. I'm currently praying these things eventually break in, because the construction is incredibly rigid. The toebox does not even bend when I walk, at least the front end of the outsole is curved up or else walking with these would be impossible. The ankle collar does not mold around the ankle very much either and currently isn't very comfortable. I made a mistake buying these, I should of dropped the cash on something else.

As for the pros, it seems the foamposite exterior is quite waterproof, I'd wager these will repels slush and water quite well. The sole/outsole is very fat and does finally isolate my foot from the ground so I don't feel the cold under my foot.

The stiffness of the whole thing though…really a sad turn off. Going from wearing sneakers and skate shoes all summer to these…my feet are not pleased.

    Buyer beware.

@ pes …sounds like you got yours too small,,..like many people do….mine wear fine…they do run small like many NIKE shoes..so if you lay down this kind of cash make sure you get the correct size.
