The Jordan Hardcourt Classic may seem like another new Team Jordan model, but it’s actually inspired by a shoe long considered as one of the best non-Legacy Air Jordan designs ever. The Jordan Team 1 was the second non-Legacy design which followed the widely successful Jordan Jumpman Pro; originally introduced in 1997, the Jordan Team 1 was specifically made for collegiate and high-school teams but was still a popular choice for casual wear. The Jordan Hardcourt Classic borrows design elements from the Jordan Team 1 and combines it with contemporary styling, with a most obvious change being the visible Air Unit that spans the entire midsole. You might have seen the Jordan Hardcourt Classic over the weekend when both Ray Allen and Quentin Richardson wore PE colorways during the Boston/Orlando showdown, and in January 2011, these rehashed classics can be yours. Continue reading for another look at the Jordan Hardcourt Classic and let us know what you think of the design. via Kenlu.

The first Nike Sportswear original design to catch fire in the lifestyle market, the Nike Toki ND mixes classic chukka styling with a vulcanized sole for the best of both worlds. There are a couple new pairs in beautifully rich leather slated for early next year, and the latest to hit retail is the above pictured black edition crafted entirely in denim. It’s black with white inflections that look great next to the sole and three white eyelets. The fourth is yellow, giving these a subtle pop that’s enough to save these from being ‘just another denim sneaker‘. Check out a closer look after the jump and grab yours today from FinishLine.

The Nike Zoom Hyperfuse might be the lightest, most unsubstantial basketball sneaker created…and it’s about to get even thinner. Arriving in January 2011 is the all-black colorway of the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Low, the dropped version of the Mid that’s been oh-so-popular in the NBA. The Hyperfuse Low should be the perfect shoe for a guy like Rajon Rondo because even with the mid-top version, Rondo’s been known to play with the tongue flapped downwards and with the laces not completely fastened, making him certainly ready for a Low version (that is, if he recovers fast enough from the rolled ankle he got from the Nike Air Max 360 BB Low). Expect these to hit Nike Basketball retailers like Eastbay on January 7th, 2011.

Nate Robinson sure isn’t shy about his sneaker collection but a his Christmas Day footwear selection left him lost in the background. Amidst all the green, red, and white that splashed the NBA hardwood, Nate Robinson’s Nike LeBron 8 ‘Blackout’ didn’t get much notice, but that story could have been a lot different had he worn this Nike Zoom Sharkley Christmas Day PE for the entire game. Nate Robinson shared this sweet PE on Christmas morning, but he only wore them for the first quarter against Boston’s showdown against the Orlando Magic. Check out the extra shot of Nate Robinson’s kicks after the jump and let us know what you think.

If you’re a beast on the track, these might be perfect for you. Take a look at this upcoming colorway of the Nike Lunar Spider in a combination of white, crimson, black, and photo blue. The animalistic print on the upper in tandem with the vibrant colors deem these perfect for running alongside the wild on a safari (although that might not be the safest thing to do). The low-profile Lunar cushioning and thin walls would make these great barefoot runners, if that’s your thing. Take another look after the jump and expect these to hot in the coming months. via SF.

With the Nike LeBron 8 V2 and VII PS before taking its place, what is the Nike LeBron Soldier series‘ identity? No longer King James’ playoff sneaker of choice, this colorway hints at the Nike Air Max LeBron Soldier V playing a solid role as a team-oriented sneaker. You can see that the design is something like firing a shotgun through curved space, a slightly less techy if somewhat more perforated take on the upper than the V2. These are also pretty well constructed to handle two and three-toned colorups with the split upper design, something that should be perfect for the inevitable array of team bank colorways. Sneaker News scooped you a couple weeks ago with the first Nike SB P-Rod 5 photos and news that Paul Rodriguez’ signature sneaker was moving from Zoom Air cushioning to a LunarLon-based sole. So when you consider his contributions to the soon-to-be-redesigned SB Dunk, Eric Koston has had a huge impact in his short tenure with Beaverton’s skate squad. Koston’s Nike SB Zoom Koston One was the first Nike SB sneaker to pop up with Lunar cushioning, with the lightweight material used on the super-thick insole, presumably so you can remove ‘em if you feel the need. But if you keep em in, you could be in store for some revolutionarily comfortable skating, so check out more shots after the jump and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for word on the Zoom Koston One’s June 2011 release. via N-SB

Rice H.S. of Harlem, N.Y.C. is once again the blueprint for a special colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI, as the Catholic school’s colors are used as the basis of this upcoming special colorway. The black based upper is covered by a golden snake-skin polyurethan shell with a golden heelcap and a translucent green outsole and swoosh. The school’s name is stamped proudly on a medial side of the heel as well. There may be a ‘Home’ colorway coming as well, so continue reading for a detailed look at the Nike Zoom Kobe VI Rice H.S. and stick with Sneaker News for release info as it develops. via MarqueeSole.

You can count on the Summit Lake Hornets colorway of each Nike Basketball LeBron James sneaker to bring with it a fresh take on a palette that defined the early ’90s. For the latest colorway in honor of King James’ AAU squad, the Nike LeBron 8 V2 has taken on an ‘away’ look thanks to an almost entirely black upper. It’s beautifully set off by a reflective 3M eye-placket, one that lends some extra ‘juice’ to the purple and teal accents that appear on the tongue, laces, heel and a speckled Max Air bubble. It also looks like there’s just a hint of yellow Flywire, which would make these both a suitable match for the NBA’s Hornets and a slight departure from the squad’s traditional colorup. Makes for a nice change, as does the 3M hit, and you can get a better look at both by clicking below. via DJCK

The Christmas Weekend brought out some of the best and brightest kicks from our favorite NBA players, and while Sneaker News already gave you a look at the four marquee sneakers of the holiday, don’t think that the rest of the league came out with their shiniest shoes. In addition to Wade’s Air Jordan 2011, Kobe’s Grinch VI, LeBron’s ‘Christmas V.2, and KD’s all-yellow joints, the sneakers seen on the NBA court from the weekend might have been the strongest ‘NBA Feet’ features ever. Gilbert Arenas wore the Air Jordan IX Premio, Mike Bibby wore the Air Jordan XX Collezione, Russell Westbrook debuted the Air Max Hyper, Ray Allen and Q-Rich wore a new Jordan-hybrid design inspired by the Jordan Jumpman Team 1, and Kenyon Martin wore the Nike Air Flightposite One. Continue reading for a full recap of the weekend’s kicks! via ESPN.
