Arriving in 2011 is the Air Jordan Alpha 1 Low, a low version that adds a little ‘flava’ (Jordan Brand’s words) to the original Air Jordan 1. The Alpha 1 released in December of 2009 as another lifestyle and on-court option for Jordan fans, and for those who deemed the Air Jordan 1 not an optimal choice for performance, the Alpha 1 captured the AJ1 legacy with the comfort of an all-new Phylon midsole with encapsulated Air. The Alpha 1 Low arrive in a few colorways this Fall 2011 season with a price-tag of $100, but here’s an advanced look at the upcoming release, showing off the design and lifestyle appeal. Check out the extra shots after the jump and let us know what you think. via NT.

Ease Da Man is clearly one sneakerhead who loves red. He put an Infrared sole on his first Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke and used it to color the entire upper of his second. This one’s got ‘Class of 2010′ written all over it, from the tonal red upper and gum outsole to the cork tongue tag that just became available recently. A lenticular material on the heeltab is also a new addition to the 21 Mercer arsenal, so when you add in the patent leather, waxed canvas tongue with a cork tag and krinkled foil Swooshes, this is one of the most material-dense AF1 Bespokes yet. Pretty good for a simple red/gum shoe, eh? Click through to see more and let us know how these compare to Ease’s first and the rest of the Air Force 1 Bespoke collection.

By the time you’re reading this, you’re probably in the middle of un-boxing your fresh, brand-new pair of the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’. However, you could have been unboxing something much different; take a look at this unreleased sample via Eastbay of the 2010 Retro of the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’. If you haven’t spotted the differences yet, this unreleased version features a mesh upper above the patent leather mudguard instead of the nubuck material used in both the 2010 and 2001 releases. Jordan Brand pulled a similar switch with the Air Jordan XIII Altitude, which went from leather to mesh as well. So now that you’ve compared the pair in your hands and the ones you see on your computer screen, which version do you prefer? Take another look after the jump and keep up with Sneaker News for more Cool Grey Aftermath news – and if you haven’t picked up a pair yet, grab one now on eBay.

Breakdancing is one of the four (or five, depends on who you ask) pillars of hip-hop culture, and there’s such a great overlap between sneakerheads and hip-hop fans that it was only a matter of time before you saw a crossover. And so right on the heels of seeing producer (DJ) Swizz Beats’ latest look from Reebok, here’s a (six) step in the same direction from NIKEiD. Entitled ‘Color Swag’, this video will give you an idea of what your subconscious goes through when you design a one-of-one pair on the Nike ID website. Click through for the video and full and see what you can come up with over at NIKEiD.

The 10th Anniversary celebration of the trail-inspired New Balance MT580 included a ton of great colorways that were the products of some great collaborations – like this particular project between mita sneakers and HECTIC. This pair features a suede upper with nylon toe-box and ankle-collar construction with a yellow and white midsole above the stabilizing New Balance Rollbar. Some would call this a Boca Juniors-esque colorway, but all would call it a sick release that would convert agnostics to followers and have New Balance fans desperate for a pair. These are available now at CaliRoots so check out the extra details after the jump and let us know what you think of the colorway.

The adidas Originals Hardland takes its name from how rough it can be to land a big trick in vulcanized soles like the bottoms on these lifestyle mashups. But maybe for this new release it should be ‘heartland’, as in where most of the crops are grown, both cos the colorway resembles wheat and the Timberlands you might be wearing to farm it. So with inspiration from basketball and skateboarding sneakers and now workboots, you’ve pretty much got the entire gamut of footwear all in one relatively versatile model. There’s another pair and they do have a vague boot resemblance with contrast stitching on a rich brown leather upper, but this pair is perhaps less ‘inspired’ and more of just a solid color combo. Check out more shots after the jump and look for the OT Tech Pack Hardland at select adidas Originals accounts soon. via mita sneakers

With the Zoom Pegasus, Zoom Structure series and a few others, Nike Running tends to emphasize Japan with its retail distribution. Let’s hope that’s not the case with these, cos American sneakerheads would love to grab a pair of the new Nike Zoom Speed Lite ST+ 3. These joints take advantage of a multilayered mesh material on the upper that’s very similar to Torch, offering a lightweight and breathable design that also happens to deliver a pleasing depth for tonal colorups. Check out more photos of the navy, red and purple pairs after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for word of a US release. via Nike Harajuku

In early March, Jordan Brand announced the Bin23 Collection, a series of Air Jordan models revitalized by colorways that were previously snubbed, or thrown in a ‘bin’, to never be released. The second release of the Bin23 Collection was the Air Jordan IX in a pairing of white and a lustrous metallic gold with the Bin23 red stamp on the upper of the shoe. The most interesting part of this sample shown here is that this particular pair is numbered 0001/1,331, which might hold some extra value to those who might be interested in that sort of thing. If you haven’t picked up a pair of the Premio IX and would love to have number 1 of 1,331, take a look at the images after the jump and pick up this size 9 sample pair from ppnab1172010 on eBay.

Sneaker News reported news of a Retro release of the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ for 2011, but here’s another bit of news to keep you on your toes for next year. Releasing in the Holiday 2011 season is the Air Jordan III Retro in Black/Cement Grey. In early 2011 you will have the opportunity to grab a pair of the White/Cement Grey IIIs, and according to very reliable sources, Jordan Brand will give you the opportunity to complete the duo by releasing the Black colorway in the Holiday 2011 season. Like the Collezione Package release that dropped not long ago, the 2011 version will likely feature a Jumpman on the heel (prior to that was the 2001 Retro that featured ‘Nike Air’. Also, these could quite possibly come packaged in the OG-inspired elephant print box that will accompany the White/Cement Grey colorway. What are your thoughts on this release? Let us know and stick with Sneaker News for more Jordan Brand release information.

The time has finally come. Month after month of waiting, fiending, praying, pleading, and saving has led up to December 23rd, the biggest, most hyped Jordan Retro release date of 2010, a year that experienced an overwhelming deluge of re-issued Jordans that would leave any fan of the Air Jordan empty at the pockets. Last year’s Air Jordan XI Space Jam release caused absolute mayhem, resulting in massive midnight campouts, destruction of Foot Locker locations, and other egregious instances of vandalism, but this year’s ‘Cool Grey‘ release should be a bit more subdued. $175 is the price-tag and expect them to come in some nice packaging (unless your local spot tries to pull a quickie on you), and be sure that these have a better chance of selling out than sitting on shelves (the take-away message: don’t sleep on these). These will be available at select Jordan Brand retailers such as Dr. Jay’s locations in New York City, but you can also pick up a pair now on eBay.

The Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Cough Drop’ might be the unluckiest shoe of 2010. Nicknamed the ‘Cough Drop’ for its varsity red translucent outsole’s resemblance to the winter-time throat soother, these Foam Ones released first on June 19th, a release date shared by the infamous Air Jordan VI ‘Infrared Pack’. Although the second release couldn’t have come during a more appropriate season, it will have to compete once again with another heavy-hitting Air Jordan – the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’. Will it fare better the second time around? Find out tomorrow because the Cough Drop Foamposite Ones will release again tomorrow, December 23rd, or if you’re occupied with the Cool Grey release, pick up a pair of the Foams on eBay.

When photos of these new Nike Air Footscape Woven Free Motions surfaced in late summer, their look might have reminded you of an August picnic. Maybe Nike Sportswear realized the warm weather association was strong enough that if they released these joints in the dead of winter, you’d feel happy when you see em and wanna cop a pair. The gingham sections of these perfectly commingle with a two-toned sole and the date really doesn’t matter when you can take such a simple colorway and make it look this crazy. There are Varsity Red, Midnight Navy and black pairs all set to hit NSW spots in January 2011; we got photos after the jump and Kicks-Crew got their stock early, as usual.
