Nike SB Dunk High – ‘Plum’

The Nike SB Dunk Pro B line of the early 2000′s was (is) popular for a number of reasons. 1: The colorways (Plums, Ceramics, Ugly Ducklings, Puttys, etc…) were matched perfectly. 2: The quality of the suede was top notch, still looking its Sunday best after countless wears. 3: It didn’t require hype or any price-hiking mumbo jumbo. Those were the days when a Nike Dunk was dope solely because it was a Nike Dunk – no hype, no gimmicks, no frills, just heat. Earlier this year a Nike SB Dunk High in orange, royal blue, and black released; it reminded some of the Dunk Low Pro B ‘Ceramic’ in high-top form, and possibly for 2011, Nike SB launch another SB Dunk High reminscent of the ‘Plum’ colorway, which features a plum purple, black, and red upper. Is this enough to coax your inner Dunk-fiend out once again? Check out a pics of the original Plums for a comparison and let us know what you think. via N-SB.

Nike Hyperdunk 2010 Stephen Curry PE @ HoH

‘They’ said both his body and school were too small when Stephen Curry was torching the college basketball scene, singlehandedly lifting the Davidson Bulldogs to national status with a deep NCAA Tournament run a couple years back.  That’s why ‘they’ passed on him in the 2009 NBA Draft that saw Curry slip all the way to Golden State with the seventh pick.  Well, Tyreke Evans may have won the Rookie of the Year and fellow ’09 guy Blake Griffin might pick his up this year, but you can guarantee the Golden State Warriors fans are glad Steph is shooting the rock in this Nike Hyperdunk 2010 PE.  It’s a black-based player exclusive for Warriors away games, but they’re available at a ‘home’ of sorts, that being Foot Locker’s House of Hoops.

Nike Lunar Saddle Shoe Custom by Jarrett Reynolds

A couple sneaker brands have tried their hand at making saddle shoes, but this one might be the most intriguing.  Nike Sportswear designer Jarrett Reynolds usually just has cool photos of his journeys on his blog but today was different, and gave us a look at what it might be like if the Jetsons were real.  Jarrett managed to fuse a saddle shoe upper with a Nike LunarLon sole to create this time traveling hybrid whose shape kinda resembles one of the original Lunar cushioned shoes, the Nike Lunar Trainer.  Click through to see more and let us know what you think; should Nike continue to add Lunar cushioning to traditional footwear styles beyond the average sneaker?

Air Jordan XI Cool Grey NikeTown NYC Release Recap

If you thought the hype for the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’ was a bit overrated or even blown out of proportion, check out the massive queue that lined up outside of NikeTown in New York City. Undeniably the biggest most widespread release of 2010, the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’ release was the must-have for the holiday season whether you were treating yourself to a nice gift or being one helluva a friend and hooking your boy up with a fresh pair. This particular release at NTNY was far more subdued than last year’s Space Jam release in Atlanta, during which an innocent Foot Locker was literally torn down by rabid fans, but with lessons learned and enough to go around, the Cool Grey release was a lot more cool and calm. Check out the release recap after the jump courtesy of FRESHNESS and let us know how crazy (or tame) the release was in your area – and if you haven’t picked up a pair yet, grab one now on eBay.

Nike LeBron 8 Varsity Royal Total Orange White

For some Knicks fans, this colorway might’ve been hard to swallow, but life after LeBron has been just dandy in the Big Apple. New York Knick has risen back to relevance without the help of LeBron James and based on the sea of boos he received when the Heat visited the Garden last Friday, New York won’t open its arms to LeBron anytime soon. However, regardless of what affiliation a shoe may have, blue-and-orange brings out the best and this LeBron 8 colorway – initially set for a release in mid-November – will help New Yorkers move on from the off-season debacle and cop kicks simply for the beauty. Regularolty got his pair in, but will the public see them hit retail? Check out the extra shot after the jump and let us know what you think of this colorway.

Nike Air Max 90 ‘ACG Pack’ – Medium Grey – Alarming Red – Varsity Purple

Hot on the heels of an Air Max 1 from this same pack is the Nike Air Max 90 ‘ACG Pack’.  Just like those ’87s, these AM90s go with a slightly more rugged construction and a wild colorway inspired by All Conditions Gear‘s ealy days.  This pair mixes Varsity Purple and Alarming Red accents atop a Medium Grey base, and while this ‘Raptors’ palette is undeniably ’90s, the blue/yellow mismatched laces might be the feature that draws more attention.  Or maybe that goes to the super bright reflective 3M heel shield.  In any case, this is a sneaker that deserves a second look and you can grab a pair to earn your fair share, courtesy of Corporate.

Nike LeBron 8 V2 Vivid Blue Varsity Maize

Clark Kent‘s Air Max LeBron VII game was on point and his LeBron 8 stash is certainly catching up. DJCK first showed us the Grey/Neon V2 but here’s a new colorway that might give the South Beach a run for its money. Featuring a vivid blue upper with a varsity maize and black trim, this never-before-seen colorway was on Clark Kent’s feet during a recent sneaker outing (of course, every day is a sneaker outing for him). Whether or not these will release or not has yet to be determined, but this should definitely have you LeBron fans buttered up. Take another look after the jump and let us know what you think of this brand new colorway.

Solebox x Reebok Pump Omni Zone

The latest Reebok Pump Omni Zone collaboration is on the opposite end of the spectrum from the recently released Dominique Wilkins-inspired Packer Shoes teamup, although they do both have their roots in golden age flash.  The Solebox x Reebok Pump Omni Zone is like LA Lights for 2011, so instead of annoying uncontrollable blinking, you’ll be able to turn these on and off, which instantly makes these among the coolest sneakers to have on display.  The black and orange design is classic Pump and yet very fresh, it’d be a solid drop even without the neat-o lights and so you might just have to buy two pairs.  Then again, Solebox has been known to do some frustratingly limited collabos, so have a closer look and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for updates on the Feb/March release.  via SF

Air Jordan Alpha 1 Low Fall 2011

Arriving in 2011 is the Air Jordan Alpha 1 Low, a low version that adds a little ‘flava’ (Jordan Brand’s words) to the original Air Jordan 1. The Alpha 1 released in December of 2009 as another lifestyle and on-court option for Jordan fans, and for those who deemed the Air Jordan 1 not an optimal choice for performance, the Alpha 1 captured the AJ1 legacy with the comfort of an all-new Phylon midsole with encapsulated Air. The Alpha 1 Low arrive in a few colorways this Fall 2011 season with a price-tag of $100, but here’s an advanced look at the upcoming release, showing off the design and lifestyle appeal. Check out the extra shots after the jump and let us know what you think. via NT.

Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke Ease Da Man Round 2

Ease Da Man is clearly one sneakerhead who loves red.  He put an Infrared sole on his first Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke and used it to color the entire upper of his second.  This one’s got ‘Class of 2010′ written all over it, from the tonal red upper and gum outsole to the cork tongue tag that just became available recently.  A lenticular material on the heeltab is also a new addition to the 21 Mercer arsenal, so when you add in the patent leather, waxed canvas tongue with a cork tag and krinkled foil Swooshes, this is one of the most material-dense AF1 Bespokes yet.  Pretty good for a simple red/gum shoe, eh?  Click through to see more and let us know how these compare to Ease’s first and the rest of the Air Force 1 Bespoke collection.
