It’s not quite a hybrid but the Air Jordan Evolution ’85 does a good job of capturing some of the key aesthetics that have defined Jordan Brand and the Air Jordan Legacy over the last quarter-century. The colorway pictured above is quintessential Air Jordan, a black base with red and white accents like you might expect to see from MJ and the Chicago Bulls during another run deep into June. These joints reach as far back as the AJ3 for Elephant print and AJV for its slotted perforations, but then add an unprecedented forefoot strap and unique tongue pull-triangle to make them feel fresh. Sneaker News reported these for sale at FinishLine but they were quickly removed as the Bred Jordan Evolution ’85 is set to hit JB accounts next month as part of the first Spring 2011 shipment. Click through to get a better look and let us know if the design’s good enough to explain Dwayne Wade wearing em again, and pick up a pair right now from JBseller on eBay.

A number of Air Jordan Flight TR 97 colorways we’ve previewed here on Sneaker News have utilized ballistic nylon mudguards and now one has made its way to retail. We saw a couple pairs of Jordan CMFT Max 12s utilizing this material as well, and with the AJXII having dropped in 1997 (along with the initial AJXIII colorway, the basketball shoe upon which 3M-embedded ballistic nylon debuted), the loose association seems fitting for a shoe whose name belies its design elements. A simulacra of the Air Jordan Legacy released in a timely colorway; the all-black Flight TR ’97s just touched down at FinishLine but you can also find yourself a pair on eBay.

Here’s another dope colorway of the Nike ACG Lunar MacLeay set to drop as part of the All Conditions Gear spring 2011 collection. As with the Pecan/Wineberry joints we showed you Tuesday, these rely on a neutral, tonal upper of mostly nubuck, with a bright sockliner giving the shoe its pop. But this pair of Lunar MacLeay+es adds further brightness with yellow laces that give way to the orange liner, resulting in a feel that’s akin to the dying embers in a pile of ashes. Sounds depressing but looks beautiful, and you can get a better view at more photos after the jump. via Flauge.

So far in a little under a year of releases, the Nike WMNS Air Feather High has always dropped in simple two and three-toned colorways, yet every pair makes a strong impression. Check out this latest act of alchemy from Nike Sportswear, a pack of white-soled Air Feathers that both feature entirely metallic leather uppers. But instead of a flat sheen, these joints offer a distressed look on the toe and side panel for a subtle contrast. Strange to say a calf-high metallic sneaker is ‘subtle’, but that’s exactly the kind of attention to detail that keeps NSW at the front of the lifestyle sneaker game. Check out more after the jump and look for these in the US soon; they just hit Juice in Taiwan.

Jordan Brand’s got a ton of tricks up its sleeve – one of them being the slick Jordan Prime 5 – a hybrid fusion of the Air Jordan Alpha 1 and Air Jordan V. Sneaker already showed you sample colorways of this upcoming release, but here’s a look at the Prime 5 featuring a Lasered upper in black and varsity red. The collage of graphics is a tribute to the Air Jordan Legacy as the roman numerals that number the Air Jordan Legacy – and if you think you’ve seen it before, look back at the Air Jordan 2010 3M Laser Sample that we showed you in November. You can expect this to drop in the coming months so take another look after the jump and let us know what you think. via modernotoriety.

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but probably not the best Christmas gift for kids. If your little ones are sneakerheads, maybe this ‘Tiffany’-leaning Nike Air Force 1 Low would do the be a suitable substitute. You can’t deny their colorway makes a nod toward Diamond Supply Co.’s signature Nike SB collaboration, but these AF1s get their sparkles from speckled laces and shiny patent leather on the toe and eyelets, plus a more pearlized finish on the heel tab. It’s a look that’s sure to have plenty of ladies interested, so sizes up to 6.5 (US womens eight) will likely sell quickly. Click below to get a better look at how many different materials come together on this two-toned AF1 and grab your pair today from SneakersNStuff.

We saw a pair of these in black, so it’s only right to find another Nike All Court Leather release right at the end of 2010 in the other ‘color’ that dominated the year. Grey’s almost doesn’t count but it’s indespensible as a colorblocking choice cos it’s so darn versatile. It’s often used to bring balance to otherwise harsh contrasts and the same effect can be achieved when you use these simple microperfed All Courts as the anchor to an otherwise ostentatious getup. Or just put colorful laces in em for your own twist, but whatever you do, you gotta grab a pair first and FinishLine has you covered.

Ready to unleash the Fury on the outdoor trails? Check out these two new colorways of the Reebok Pump Insta Fury set for a release this coming Spring/Summer 2011 Season. The vibrant-colored uppers, which are constructed from a wide array of materials like mesh, leather, and suede, are matched with concrete-like speckled midsoles. This outdoor-friendly duet of new colorways could be the Reebok counterpart of the Nike Air Huarache ACG Mowabb Pack that released a couple of years ago so don’t miss out on these once they drop. Take a look at both colorways after the jump and let us know what you think. via Provider.

Like the brand’s retail spaces before it, the HUF footwear collection continues to grow and expand, adding this new lowtop to the spring 2011 drop. The HUF 278 is kinda like an adidas Stan Smith plus a swooping suede toebox and metal eyelets. They’re brass on each pair from this first set, a classy look that works well with tonal suede/nubuck uppers in grey, black or navy. Finish ‘em off with the circle H logo and these joints will be good to go early next year at select HUF retailers. How do they compare to the other kicks we’ve seen from Keith Hufnagel’s brand? via GLLTN.

Gerald Wallace has shown up in our NBA Feet column rocking a variety of dope Air Jordan PEs this season and the Charlotte Bobcats palette affords G-Dub a ton of sick colorways. Check out this one, an Air Jordan Six Rings PE that Wallace wore in an NBA game, presumably away judging from the nearly all-black colorup. Black patent, nylon and leather offer a nice tonal depth and select orange accents help finish off the ‘#3′ personalized look. Check out more shots by clicking on the jump below and Bobcats fans can pick up a pair of this high-flyer’s autographed kicks for a limited time from happybuyers11 on eBay.
