Supreme designer Luke Meier collaborated with Vans Syndicate on a lowtop that dropped this summer and again on Black Friday in another colorway. The Vans Zero has been so well received that it’s now a part of the Vans Core collection starting in spring 2011, and that’s when these three new pairs will hit store shelves. The same subtle designs that made Meier’s pairs a hit are back with tonal uppers constructed in suede and canvas all riding white waffle soles. These are a great look for spring that’re both classic and fresh and you can see more photos by clicking on the jump below. via HS.

The trio of New England-based running shoe specialists New Balance and Japanese industry leaders mita sneakers and realmad HECTIC is one whose history might be unparalleled. Few collaborations can match their pace-setting 10 year run and with nearly 20 tag team kicks released over the last decade, they’re also among the most prolific. For the mita x HECTIC x New Balance MT580 10th Anniversary edition, the autumnal photography is appropriate cos these guys have and should continue to work together year after year. The black leather and ‘woodgrain’ midsole is a timeless look and you can get a better view by clicking on the jump below.

adidas Originals has shown us a number of animal patterns for spring 2011 and today we have a look at some more wildness from Three Stripes for early next year. Six pairs in total are split halfsies between bros and chicks, with the guys’ models utilizing adidas’ heritage designs and the girls’ releases also familiar, but considerably less so. The Fourm Mid and Superskate mid are both studded, while the Nizza Hi Lux utilizes a pony hair giraffe pattern, while the ladies mid and low Sleeks are both also studded and a new pair of Relaces is wacky without any further enhancement. Click below to see shots of all of these and expect them at select adidas Originals retailers soon; Tokyo’s Styles is taking pre-orders now. via FRESHNESS

Mike Bibby’s PE collection is one of the most impressive we’ve ever seen but here’s a look at one in particular that would be sizzling even without the ‘PE’ designation. This PE dates to 2008 and features the ‘OG’ white, black, red colorway, but the black sections do not feature the slightly-glittered black nubuck, but a shiny black patent leather allowing for a true ‘tuxedo’ look. Patent leather has never been done on a mid-cut Air Jordan IX until the Air Jordan IX ‘For The Love of The Game’,and had these released as a general release, there’s no doubt that they’d fly off the shelves. Only 42 pairs of this rarity have ever been produced, but if you’ve got the dough to spend, check out this auction from depeche23mode on eBay.

With the classic Lakers colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI slated for a release on December 26th, let’s take a look at a colorway that’s considerably ‘louder’ than what we’ve seen so far. This new colorway features a combination of Dark Grey, Glass Blue, Vibrant Yellow, and Chrome, and is similar to the Nike Zoom Kobe V ‘Throw it Down, Shannon Brown’ colorway in that a grey base is combined with a number of bright colors. No word on a special ‘affiliation’ pertaining to this pair but stick with Sneaker News and we’ll keep you updated on the expected barrage of Kobe VI colorways.

Nike Sportswear tends to release a bunch of European exclusive runners, but those models are often Air Max Lights, Pegasuses and other lesser known models. Here’s (an updated version of) one of the big boys though, a Nike Air Max 90 Current that only dropped at EU Foot Locker locations. These would have been welcome anywhere Nike’s bright early ’90s aesthetic is appreciated, their bright neon accents adding some extra energy to get you going on those dreary December mornings. Click below to get a better look at how the vivid accents explode from a Stealth grey base and let us know if you’d buy these if they were available in the US.

The outcry for Nike Retro releases have been heard loud and clear as we’ve seen a number of classic Nikes releases and be scheduled for upcoming drops. One Retro that will most likely not happen is the Nike Air Pressure, the $190 Nike basketball shoe with an incredibly heavy air-pump console attached the rear ankle of the shoe. The Air Pressure is one of those shoes that were better suited for viewing rather than wearing, and considering the unique plastic-case packaging and space-boot like design, it’s better off as a museum piece rather than a part of your footwear rotation.
For 2010, Nike introduced the Nike Air PR1, a modified version of the Air Pressure but with an Air Jordan III sole, slightly modified upper, and of course, shed of the huge contraption. Overall reception to the shoe was mixed as the PR1 wasn’t a true Retro, but this upcoming House of Hoops-exclusive colorway might change a few minds. Arriving soon at House of Hoops is the Nike Air PR1 in a colorway inspired by the original; a white upper with hints of grey and red attack the upper, and a matching t-shirt with “Contents Under Pressure” will also be available. Continue reading for a detailed gallery of this upcoming Air PR1 release as well as the original Air Pressure and let us know what you think. via SoleCollector.

A new year means a new batch of apparel and accessories from Nike SB. For the January 2011 collection, you get a pretty standard mix, each item of which is executed to perfection. It starts with the Nike SB Icon Tee, available next month in charcoal heather/black and red/navy, plus white and pine green Local Union Dri Fit tees. The SB Icon returns for a duo of zip-up hoodies but the Swoosh Skate department is smart enough to leave their branding off of a pair of flannel button downs. There’s a trucker hat and three new beanies plus three brand new all-black and green backpacks, as well as another Nike SB Shuttle, which has enough room to carry your board, your gear, and a few pairs of kicks. Continue reading for a detailed look at all the January 2011 Apparel and Accessories from Nike SB and let us know what catches your eye.

Each of its drops a success so far, the Star Wars x adidas Originals collaboration will continue into 2011. The SS 2011 collaboration between George Lucas’ record breaking franchise and Three Stripes might be their most audacious thus far, with styles that cater to sci-fi-inclined sneakerheads young and old alike. There’s an adidas El Dorado modeled after the AT-AT Driver with a helmet-embellished tongue Jeremy Scott would be proud of, a wraparound depiction of the Imperial Planet on the Coruscant hightop and a Bob Marley-meets-Boba Fett lowtop just to name a few. This is the kinda sneaker where diehards absolutely have to keep an extra pair on ice and you can see a full preview of the Spring/Summer 2010 adidas x Star Wars sneaker collection after the jump.

Nike is probably the sneaker brand most commonly associated with splatter motifs, but that’s not to say you can’t get a clean new pair of ‘messy’ lookin’ sneakers from another respected leader. Check out these new Vans Sk8-His that have been given the name ‘Paint Stomp’. It’s pretty clear after hearing that that the design is supposed to emulate jumping into a puddle, and the paint theme adds a mischievous edge to the childlike playfulness. Maybe you can even make your own customs by jumping into a vivid contrast shade like red or blue. Either way, they’ll be out soon and you can see some more pictures by clicking on the jump below. via mischief.

Following the grand introduction of the Nike Zoom Alpha Talon and new Pro-Combat gear at Cowboys Stadium yesterday, media was taken upstairs to check out a showcase featuring the very latest in Nike Training and Football apparel, footwear and equipment. The 2011 crop of products included a cross-section of goodies that cover Nike’s three-pronged attack of “Compete, Train and Express,” an idea designed to keep you looking, feeling and performing at high levels from what you wear on the practice field and gameday, as well as away from the rigors of high-impact athletics once its time to grab some attention with your off-field attire.
The circular display set-up was designed to take those in attendance through these different facets of the Nike Training arsenal, from the latest Nike Sparq training equipment, to the new Pro-Combat technologies and uniforms, to some new and redesigned footwear destined to make a splash both in and outside of the athletic training realm. Finally, falling more into the “Express” category, Nike iD stations were set up, offering the most recent wave of Nike Sportswear Destroyer Jacket customization options.
With all the overwhelming visual stimulation all around, you know Sneaker News was scouring the room to bring you some sneak peeks at some of the upcoming Nike Training footwear that will be hitting retail in 2011. New colorways and variations of the Trainer 1, Trainer 1.2 and Free TR were on display, but it was the Zoom Huarache TR that stole the show in both a new mid-cut colorway and a variety of brand new Huarache TR Low models.
The new Zoom Huarache TR Mid features an eye-catching black/white/grey/volt color scheme that sports a gradient midsole, and a clear outsole that reveals a print inspired by the Zoom Alpha Talon. The same style of pattern appears again on the heel section of the upper in tonal black, giving off something of a faux-carbon fiber look. Aside from the Huarache Mid, we also got a first look at the Zoom Huarache Low, which was a big hit with the crowd thanks to a few colorways that are obviously inspired by some of the classic Air Huarache runners. Keep reading for a thorough look at the entire display and keep an eye out for all this and more hitting stores in 2011.
