With even more of a retro look than their iconic Classic model, Reebok’s GL 6000 has returned in recent months to evoke the memories of short shorts without all the mess. This newest colorway looks like it was timed perfectly with St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, its lush green suede uppers contrasted by the tonal nylon mesh that looks so good on old school runners. Will they provide you with good luck like a four leaf clover? Hard to say, but your springtime fits will be appropriately anchored when these hit retailers early next year, and you can get a better look when you click on the jump below. via SF

Last year’s Sneaker News Top 30 list was a smash hit with readers, so with 2010 coming to a close, it’s time to get down to business again and reveal our selections for the year’s best sneaker offerings. Anyone can make a list of their favorite sneakers, but the aim of the SN Top 30 is to capture a cross-section of the shoes that made the biggest impact on the sneaker world in the last year. After scouring all the countless kicks that dropped in 2010, we began narrowing down the best of the best and eventually put together what we felt to be a strong representation of the finest footwear to release during the last 365 days. The tentative top 30 choices were then passed along to members of our staff and other sneaker associates to rank from 1 to 30, with the average results eventually going on to become the final order for the official Sneaker News Top 30 Sneakers of 2010 list.
Head over to Sneaker News HD to keep reading and check out the complete Top 30 Sneakers of 2010 feature to see where your own personal favorites ranked on our list.

The Nike Air PR1 may have ruffled some features, but the recent release of the House-of-Hoops exclusive OG Air Pressure-inspired colorway appeased a few folks to some degree. A true retro of the OG Air Pressure is unlikely due to the probable high cost of manufacturing and the high retail price that would follow, so it appears that the Air Pressure is in the history books for good. That’s why this retro-inspired Air PR1 gained a lot of high remarks when it was last previewed, and if you were unable to cop a pair, you can snag one of these now from colonskicks on eBay.

Each of the four Jordan Brand Bin 23 Collection releases has seen its model repeated in additional new and/or retro colorways drop in their aftermath, and the same looks to be true of the Air Jordan VII. Following the uniquely tatted-down AJ7 Bin 23 is this new Seven also done in white leather, but its smooth texture avoids a directly West African look, instead opting for something a bit more U-S-A! U-S-A! It’s the kind of quintessentially early ’90s bright and energetic colorway you could just as easily picture as the ‘Olympic’ Air Jordan 7, had Nike decided to go a different route with their now legendary USAB look. But as it stands this is a solid new colorway that’s well timed for a Spring 2011 release, but you can avoid the inevitable hoopla and secure yours today from Kicks-Crew.

“Listening and dancing to music is awesome!”
That’s a familiar refrain if you and/or your lil sneakerheads watch Nick Jr.’s Yo Gabba Yabba! The beat-driven edutainment program is kinda like a real-life Rockafire Explosion, plus the songs offer great advice like, “You can’t always get what you want . . . you don’t have to whine . . . you don’t have to keep on askin’.” Teaching kids to be chill is an admirable persuit, and one that should make the Yo Gabba Gabba! x Vans pack a big hit among hip parents. There are eight pairs in all split between two Sk8-His and six Slip-Ons, each of which offers a take on a different main character, with one of the Sk8s offering the show’s group logo. Check out the entire collection after the jump and stick with Sneaker NEws for word on Vans’ latest playful collaboration. via Provider

Sneaker customizer JBF is at it again with yet another Nike Dunk Low construction of synthetic carbon fiber. The last JBF custom we showed you featured black and grey synthetic carbon fiber with green contrast stitching, and this new pair features a bright purple carbon fiber on the toe, center panel, and ankle collar to match the purple outsole. JBF, who in addition to the two carbon fiber Dunk Lows has two Blazer Mids, Pumas, and other great customs under his belt, is certainly emerging as one of the notable customizers out there because he stays on his grind! Check out the detailed shots after the jump and check out JBF’s work at his website.

Most people would expect the Big V early in 2011 to be Valentines Day, but sneakerheads know Nike Sportswear has a special greeting of their own for the new year, a pack of old and updated V-Series runners. We’ve shown you everything from pre-yellowed vintage editions of the OG colorups to LunarLon and/or Max Air cushioned updates built to meet today’s performance standards, and with the range of colorways both possible and already previewed, this large running collection might be 2011′s answer to ’10′s Air Attack Pack. See more of the Vintage Vortex pictured above, plus the Venture, Lunar Racer Vengeance and Lunar Venture+ in photos after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release dates. via ST

When Tinker Hatfield was designing the Air Jordan III, Michael Jordan had one major request of infusing an animalistic print to the sneaker. Tinker responded with a unique pattern mimicking the skin of an elephant – which is also the exhibitionary theme for the Air Jordan III in the legendary ShoeZeum. Considering the high price, whether or not these are really for sale is up for you to decide, but we think it’s just one way for the owner of the massive ShoeZeum to get the deserved worldwide recognition. In this particular lot, eighteen deadstock pairs of the Air Jordan III are up for grabs, with nine colorways in total and plenty of doubles. Take a look after the jump and check out the auction from authentic_sneaker_powerseller on eBay.

adidas Originals ongoing OT Tech pack has already offered us a look at the classic Forum basketball shoe in its traditional midtop silhouette. What is now the third adidas Originals Forum ‘OT Tech’ is a low, and perhaps the ‘OT Tech-iest’ of them all. These joints echo the pack’s major themes of the black/white/blue colorup and zigzag design elements, the former of which seems to enhance the ‘sharpness’ of the latter and vice versa. Put it on a clear sole and you’ve got one of the more exciting non-animal-print previews we’ve seen for Three Stripes’ 2011, and you can get a better look by clicking on the jump below. via GLLTN
