Air Jordan III 18 Pair Auction on eBay

When Tinker Hatfield was designing the Air Jordan III, Michael Jordan had one major request of infusing an animalistic print to the sneaker. Tinker responded with a unique pattern mimicking the skin of an elephant – which is also the exhibitionary theme for the Air Jordan III in the legendary ShoeZeum. Considering the high price, whether or not these are really for sale is up for you to decide, but we think it’s just one way for the owner of the massive ShoeZeum to get the deserved worldwide recognition. In this particular lot, eighteen deadstock pairs of the Air Jordan III are up for grabs, with nine colorways in total and plenty of doubles. Take a look after the jump and check out the auction from authentic_sneaker_powerseller on eBay.

adidas Originals Forum Lo – OT Tech Pack | January 2011

adidas Originals ongoing OT Tech pack has already offered us a look at the classic Forum basketball shoe in its traditional midtop silhouette.  What is now the third adidas Originals Forum ‘OT Tech’ is a low, and perhaps the ‘OT Tech-iest’ of them all.  These joints echo the pack’s major themes of the black/white/blue colorup and zigzag design elements, the former of which seems to enhance the ‘sharpness’ of the latter and vice versa.  Put it on a clear sole and you’ve got one of the more exciting non-animal-print previews we’ve seen for Three Stripes’ 2011, and you can get a better look by clicking on the jump below.  via GLLTN

Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Concord’ | Available

With Kobe Bryant chasing a sixth NBA championship to match Michael Jordan in 2011, it’s fitting that we’ll see the Mamba’s signature done in the shade that names what will likely end up as the year’s biggest release.  Famous for its key supporting role in the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’, the familiar purple hue is back for what could be seen as the ‘Inline’ Nike Zoom Kobe 6.  These joints are suitable for Staples Center with a white base giving way to grey scales plus black and Concord accents for one of the literally coolest looking Kobes in recent memory.  Check out more after the jump and lock up your pair today from Schuh-You.

Nike WMNS Dunk High Icons – Light Bone – Varsity Red Patent

There are a couple impressive madras plaid Skinny Dunks on the way for spring, but what about the good old fashioned Nike WMNS Dunk High?  This new pair of WMNS Dunk High Icons offers the simple approach echoed by the ‘Be True to Your Street’ collection, but tackles its two-toned colorblocking differently than the classic BTTYS.  Instead, they’re mostly all-white with red coming in on the laces, lining, heel stitching, sole and a patent leather Swoosh.  You probably already have a matching shade of nail polish and/or lipstick, so combine that with a white base and this should present all kinds of fun for lady sneakerheads when it hits US Nike Sportswear retailers soon.  via mita sneakers

Nike Basketball – 2011 PE Preview

The NBA is enjoying a renaissance at the point guard position and almost every single one of those top 1s is signed with Nike Basketball.  The top players all get exclusive colorways of their chosen models and in 2011, you can expect even more PEs with your favorite hoopster’s personal touches.  Let’s stick with the PG theme and talk about Rajon Rondo and Deron Williams, both of whom have opted for the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Low to aide in their lane-eviscerating play.  Perhaps the best PG of the last decade, Steve Nash opts for the Hyperdunk Low, while the midtop cut of its 2010 update is a standby for Andre Iguodala and Lamar Odom.  Rounding out this set is a couple of Air Max Fly By colorways for two guys known for attacking the rim: Brandon Roy and Amar’e Stoudemire.  Which of these NBA players has the best kicks?  Click through to see the entire set and let us know which Nike Basketball NBA PEs you’d cop.  via aaronknows

DJ Clark Kent x Nike Trainer SC 2010 112

DJ Clark Kent has been effusive about his praise for the Nike Trainer SC 2010, and even named the White/Black-Solar Red colorway one of his Ten Best of the year. It was only a matter of time before Clark got some ’112′ love for one of his faves of the year, and it’s certainly better late than never. Check out DJ Clark Kent’s Nike Trainer SC 2010 done up in ’112′ style, with black, volt, 3M reflective, and elephant print on the upper. The midsole features a mix of black and volt green, with a 3M-reflective toe guard and lace placket, black on the upper, and an elephant print mudguard to complete Clark’s signature look. Likely made for Clark’s feet and Clark’s feet only, but a release would be the perfect post-Holiday gift, would it not? Check out the extra shots after the jump and let us know what you think.

Nike Hyperdunk 2011 New Preview Images

The Nike Hyperdunk has always been tied to Kobe Bryant (a few call it Kobe’s unofficial sig), and some may have ‘poked fun’ at the Hyperdunk 2010 as being a high-top version of the Nike Zoom Kobe V. Great minds do think alike, because both were designed by two different people (Eric Avar for the Kobe V, Leo Chang for the Hyperdunk 2010). Fortunately, the upcoming Hyperdunk 2011 breaks away from the Kobe-stigma with an all-new design, although it does share some similar design elements from his Nike Basketball brother. A visible carbon fiber midfoot-plate with a visibile Flywire upper panel and an all-new heel-counter give the Hyperdunk 2011 an even sleeker sports-car look (and performance, too). You can expect these five colorways to drop in the coming months, so let us know what you think of the design. Better than the 2010? via nkestyl.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI LA New Images

With the 2011 NBA All-Star Game just six weeks away, we should start seeing some All-Star inspired colorways of our favorite sneakers, and the recently previewed Zoom Kobe VI ‘LA’ could be our first look at an All-Star edition. With the 2011 NBA All-Star Game being held in Los Angeles, we could expect LA-specific graphics, like the one seen on the heel-cup window of the Zoom Kobe VI ‘LA’. The upper also features imagery of the city, laid underneath the polyurethane snake-skin. Kobe’s definitely a lock to start the All-Star Game this season for the West squad, and perhaps these might be his special pair for that game. Although these are a stark contrast to last year’s All-Star motif, which featured a Western Red motif with 3M-reflective faux-woodgrain, the city of Los Angeles is always one to stand out. Take a detailed look after the jump and let us know what you think. Thanks chubunky

NBA Feet: Kobe & LeBron Debut New Signature Shoes

After the debut of the and V.2 on Christmas Day, it appears that Nike’s two biggest basketball stars have made the switch for good. On their first game back from the highly-anticipated Holiday game, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James both wore their new shiny shoes – Kobe with the Kobe VI in Black/Del Sol and LeBron in the LeBron 8 V.2 in White/Sport Red-Black. While we can certainly wave a hearty good-bye to the Zoom Kobe V, LeBron James could very much go back to his V.1  - we’re all anticipating the appearance of the LeBron 8 South Beach on his feet, aren’t we? Take a look at Kobe and LeBron’s new kicks after the jump and let us know which player had the better kicks. via ESPN.

Nike Zoom Kobe Venomenon – Lakers Away

Yesterday Sneaker News showed you the Nike Zoom Kobe Venomenon, the next non-signature Kobe basketball shoe. None of the off-sig Kobe models have yet to hit the states, and it appears likely that the Venomenon will stay out East as well. Kobe is King in Asia and while Americans have their fill with Kobe, LeBron, Air Jordan, and plenty others, the demand for Kobe seems to never go completely satisfied, so why not cash in? The Zoom Kobe Venomenon features a Zoom-cushioned XDR outsole with a low-cut upper, featuring snake-skin treatment on the upper – though it doesn’t look like the polyurethane shell used on the Zoom Kobe VI. This new Lakers Away colorway has hit stores in Asia so check out the extra shot after the jump and let us know if these should hit the states. via hkkicks.

adidas Superbeast Dwight Howard – White – Blue

Earlier today Sneakers News gave you a look at the adidas Superbeast, Dwight Howard’s second signature shoe for the 2010-11 NBA Season. Featuring a more breathable and lighter package than the TS Beast thanks to the Sprint Skin technology. The bottom chassis is now cushioned by ‘Twist’, a contrast to the ‘Alive’ cushioning seen on the black ‘Away’ colorway. As the season wears on, so will Dwight Howard, so the all-new Superbeast will help Superman stay on top of his game for his quest for a title. Take a detailed look at the ‘Home’ colorway of the adidas Superbeast and watch for these on Dwight’s feet soon. via US10.

Nike Air Terra Humara Navy Yellow Black

Seems like the Air Umara hybrid/spinoff got some more attention directed toward the classic Nike Air Terra Humara, cos basically outta nowhere, here’s another new colorway for this beloved trail runner.  After months of absolute silence, a second dark Air Terra Humara has emerged, this pair going with equal parts navy blue and black.  Orange is always welcome when navy’s your base and grey on the laces and midsole serve to add some balance for a look that manages to be feel both organic and bright without being too much of either.  Check out more shots after the jump and look for these soon at US Nike Sportswear accounts; they just popped up at Japan’s Flauge.
