NBA Feet: Gilbert Arenas Air Jordan XI Space Jam

Tick, tock…

While we’re all waiting for ’ inevitable debut of the Nike Air Foamposite One in Dark Neon Royal, he’s been showing off his sneaker collection, which has been nothing short of ‘awesome’. Following Monday night’s Nike Air 3 LE, Gilbert Arenas wore the Air Jordan XI ‘Space Jam’ against the Cleveland Cavaliers, scoring his highest total as a part of the Magic roster while helping his new team to its third straight victory. This isn’t the first time Gilbert wore the Space Jams this season, but a sneaker as beautiful as those are worth a second look. Take a look at Gilbert and his kicks after the jump and let us know what you think. via ESPN.

Air Jordan XI Concord 2011 Retro

If you’re the plan-for-the-future type, make some room for these bad boys – the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’, set to release in 2011. Sneaker News reported the re-release of the Concords last week but here’s a first look at the actual 2011 version; it shares the similar boot shape as the Space Jam and Cool Grey with the pristine tuxedo-ready colorway of white and black patent leather on the upper, with Dark Concord traction pods on the bottom sole. Already a front-runner for the best of 2011, the Dark Concord XI will certainly cause a stirring frenzy once it releases. Reality Studio x Onitsuka Tiger – January 2011

German designer Svejna Specht has been working under the name ‘Reality Studio’ since 2005, and according to her website, “Since 2010 Reality Studio collaborates with Onitsuka Tiger/Asics on limited edition sneaker designs of which the first will come to selected stores in January 2011- others will follow in July and December 2011.”  Here’s our first look at what’s apparently an ongoing collaboration in the works, the first Onitsuka Tiger x Reality Studio sneaker.  This first pair is a Vans Sk8-Hi-like hightop that sees a bit of a Native American twist thanks to leather tassles that remind us we haven’t seen a new Visvim FBT in a while.  Click through to get a better look at this January 2011 release and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and of the still-to come Reality Studio x Onitsuka Tiger releases.  via SF

adidas Originals Superskate Mid – White – Studded | January 2011

A slightly beefed up, midtop take on the classic Superstar shelltoe (sans shell, of course), the adidas Originals Superskate Mid seems like it only bothers to come out for special occasions.  Following a couple of Star Wars collaborations is this new pair for Spring 2011 that does its best to keep pace with the variety of wild animal looks Three Stripes will offer upcoming in Q1, by adding an array of studs to the side panels of these joints in an irregular distribution that kinda looks like a newly discovered diamond mine.  This white pair will hit retailers soon after the new year so click through for new photos and stick with Sneaker News for the latest adidas Originals releases. via Styles.

WTAPS x Vans Syndicate Sk8 Mid Leopard Sherpa

The tagline for Japanese streetwear label WTAPS’ latest collaboration with Vans Syndicate was, “So many paths to choose from.  The outcomes for each are uncertain.  Decide on a path and keep moving.”  This slogan showed up on the stripe of a couple WTAPS x Vans Sk8-Mids beneath a spiderweb, but apparently for their latest release, WTAPS is changing course and going the vertebrate route.  ‘Bones’ is written upon dem stripe, with leopard print horeshair sidepanels and sherpa sockliners evoking images of some warm and fast Frankenstein animal.  UGGs take note: this is how to do sherling on a mens shoe, and if you’re lucky enough to be in the land of the rising sun or have Japanese connects, they just hit select retailers over there.  via Bee

Air Jordan VII – White – Black – Orion Blue – Infrared | Detailed Images

The Air Jordan VII was recently featured in Sneaker News’ Michael Jordan Through The Years feature; did you pick up any new information on the Air Jordan VII you didn’t previously know? The VII was indeed inspired by African tribal artwork, which explains the funky design of the tongue and midsole as well as the Air Jordan VII Premio colorway, and because of the unique color-blocking ability of the shoe, you can go so many different ways. Take for example the upcoming ‘Orion Blue’ Air Jordan VII; white and black provide the primary foundation for this colorway but just the perfect splashes of punchy orion blue and infrared give these a sweet all-new appeal. A new gallery of detailed images await you after the jump so give them a quick review and let us know if you’ll be copping these for sure. via Rstor.

Vintage Nike Air Force Pump Collection on eBay

The lifelong search for the Holy Grail might stop here for a few sneakerheads; check out this six-pair collection of vintage Nike Air Forces from the late 80′s-early 90′s that featured the short-lived Air Pump technology. The Nike Air Pressure, Nike Air Command Force, and Nike Air Force 180 Pump were three super high-top basketball classics that despite not having a long life, have garnered an insane cult following to this day. The Air Pressure came attached with a pump module and a plastic see-through case and a $180 price-tag (an insanely high price at the time), and was recently retroed (in a sense) in a lighter form called the Air PR1. The Command Force as well as the Air Force 180 Pump also featured the Air Pump tech and were worn by David Robinson on court during the Force vs. Flight era of Nike Basketball, where David Robinson’s power/finesse game allowed him to be one of the representative for Nike Force. Finding just one pair of these is hard enough, but in this auction, you’ve got SIX pristine pairs up for grabs in one fell swoop. Take a detailed look at what’s for sale after the jump and check out the auction from authentic_sneaker_powerseller on eBay.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI – Group Shots

The cat’s out of the bag (or mamba’s out of the basket, as the case may be) with the Nike Zoom Kobe VI, and you can go right now to NIKEiD to create your very own custom built ZK6.  And while all those options are pretty sick, particularly for a first-run signature, Nike Basketball did a pretty darn good job themselves, as is unmistakably the case when you see this lineup of Zoom Kobe Sixes.  ‘Grinches’, ‘Glass Blues’, ‘LAs’, ‘Del Sols’; only one of them is a match for Kobe Bryant’s LA Lakers uniforms (and that one’s a bit of a stretch), so you can find something to suit pretty much any taste and/or outfit.  Have a closer look at this variety of ZK6 colorways and stick with Sneaker News for updates on all Zoom Kobe VI release dates. Thanks chubunky

adidas Skateboarding – Spring 2011 Releases @ Premier

adidas took its cue from Nike SB when starting a skate division largely based on its catalog of heritage models, but Three Stripes has literally one-upped the Swoosh with their January 2011 drop.  adidas Skateboarding brings you not one but two colorways of the Dennis Busenitz pro model, something we’re not used to seeing from a single SB rider, and yet, a solid choice in light of the beautiful blue colorways in use.  The new Ronan also sees two drops, but instead of a skater, these joints are named after a small Montana town (anyone remember the Polson?).  We’ve definitely seen two Dunk or Blazer colorways in a month so that’s not shocking, and the double dip continues with a pair of Silases that bring the remainder down to a single Skate and one Adi Ease for Mark Gonzales.  Quite a collection, and you can see the entire set when you click on the jump below, then grab one or all of em from Premier.

Air Jordan 6 17 23 – ‘Aqua’ | New Images

For 2011, Jordan Brand will present the Air Jordan 6-17-23, a hybrid design combining two installments of the Air Jordan Legacy totaling ’23′. This is one idea that you might have seen coming from far away, but the execution was still a bit foggy. How would the JB designers produce a shoe that features an equal share of two Air Jordan models? The 6-17-23 seems to accomplish that quite well, as the silhouette of the shoe neither all-VI or all-XVII. One other colorway we showed you was one inspired by the Air Jordan VI ‘Carmine’, but this upcoming release (actually the first Air Jordan 6-17-23 we showed you) is something more akin to a popular Air Jordan VIII colorway (Aquatone). Hybrid designs always draw an implicit ‘line’ down the Jordan fanbase – which side do you stand on? Take a look at the details after the jump and let us know what you think. via Rstor.

adidas adiZero Rose 1.5 – Black – Red – Aluminum

LeBron isn’t the only signature-shoe holder with a ‘V.2′. Derrick Rose, who quickly rose from young stud to MVP contender, will debut his second signature shoe of the 2010-11 NBA Season, the adidas adiZero Rose 1.5, during the second half of the NBA Season. Like the LeBron 8 V.2, the adiZero Rose 1.5 features the same upper design but with a much more breathable and lighter package, using 360-degree Climacool to provide the added benefits. In addition to the altered upper is the removal of the ankle collar that was prominent in the adiZero Rose 1. Take a look at a detailed shots after the jump and expect to see these hit retail in Spring 2011.
