Jordan Brand has been dabbling in other ventures to build on top of the immortal Air Jordan Legacy. Last year, Jordan Brand teamed up with Air Max to create a new line of footwear infusing classic Air Jordan designs with Air Max technology, with the first of such releases being the Jordan CMFT Viz Air 11. Jordan Brand may be going off on yet another tangent in 2011, because the original Air Jordan 1 will be made into a skate-ready shoe as part of the Nike SB line. This collaborative project isn’t as far-fetched as it seems on the surface, because the Nike Dunk, SB’s most popular and recognizable model, was also the inspiration for the Air Jordan 1 design. An Air Jordan 1 SB is ‘keeping it in the family’ so to speak, and you can expect the new Nike SB Dunk technology to be a part of this Jordan skate-shoe. While a skate-version of the Air Jordan 1 would be an easy pill to swallow, how would you react if every Air Jordan shoe was transformed into a skate-shoe? Let us know your thoughts. via N-SB.

Just throw on a Nike SB tag on any 1 and you're good to go.
January 5th, 2011 at 12:43 pm
No Matter what it looks like this will be a must COP
January 5th, 2011 at 12:57 pm
HYPEBEASTS REJOICE!!! ALL THE SKINNY JEAN WEARING SISSY'S WHO LEAVE THE STICKERS ON THEIR FITTEDS WILL LOVE THESE!!!
January 5th, 2011 at 12:57 pm
The 1's with a dunk sole on em?
January 5th, 2011 at 1:01 pm
prolly wont be ugly, but i just think its a wack idea to rehash this same shoe since theres already so many jordan inspired SB's
January 5th, 2011 at 1:06 pm
i'd be upset, af1/jordan fusions are already corny why we need these losers/bums to wear jordan/sb fusions
January 5th, 2011 at 1:12 pm
I know people might not agree, but if AJ's were transformed into a skate-shoe, it wouldn't look right; it would look weird or awkward IMO. There's a difference when a product is inspired and transformed. I can only imagine seeing Tony Hawk wearin' these. IDK, maybe ONLY for the AJ 1's, but the rest? I don't think ALL AJ's should be transformed into a skate-shoe. So, AJ1 x Nike SB= Just awkward.
January 5th, 2011 at 1:20 pm
if its literally some jordan 1s with the new sb sole and extra padding then it will prolly be cool. if its more like a crazy fusion or those wierd lookin 1s with all the perf or they look too much like "Phat" jordan highs then idk
January 5th, 2011 at 1:25 pm
pad the collar and the tongue use better materials and make the outsole grip better. ALL THEY NEED TO DO!!! make them real high tops though not that bs mid cut in the dmp pack. oh yea and dont put a jumpman on these. They never had one back in the day.
January 5th, 2011 at 1:29 pm
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH jb! Stop experimenting with the air Jordan 1, your making me hate one of my fav shoes, you guys can't put it out in every color and think it's gunna sell it's not an Air force 1
January 5th, 2011 at 1:39 pm
I thought the AJ1 Phat was a skate shoe.
January 5th, 2011 at 1:41 pm
I hope THIS turns out cool.
now on what yall said about ALL the jordan shoes being a skate shoe?
uhhhhhhhhhhh idk they'd have to change them mad hard and I don't think they'd do it.
although I was skatin around in my 6s and they oddly felt good. I did a kickflip in em and it felt kinda good, it was weird! lol
January 5th, 2011 at 1:42 pm
they're just like fusions give it up
January 5th, 2011 at 1:46 pm
this idea sounds okay, better than air force jordan fusions IMO
i need to see the pictures before i can make a statement
January 5th, 2011 at 1:52 pm
I feel as if these will be either a love or a hate thing. i cant tell which side im on quite yet, but im interested to see more pics.
January 5th, 2011 at 2:01 pm
well said
January 5th, 2011 at 2:04 pm
hey, not everyone who keeps their stickers on their fitteds are hypebeasts. maybe some ppl who keep the sticker on the fitted just want it there.
i know i will probably be in the minority on this collaboration, but im interested in seeing how this turns out. u cant judge how a product will come out just based on the name of the collaboration. i understand we're each entitled to our own opinion, but dont jump to conclusions when all we have is just initial speculation.
January 5th, 2011 at 2:21 pm
noooo. why can we just have the og ?. so are these gonna be releasing instead of the "banned" retro 1's ??? i hope not thats bs , enough with these wack hybrids jb's been bringin some heat dont start effin up now
January 5th, 2011 at 3:22 pm
yea i like ma skinny jeans ive been rockin since 07 nd the 51/50 stickers lol but 4 real on i think the shoes wont b anything special since sb uses the dunk template sooo much nd its basically the same as the AJ1…… unless they do a what the dunk type of thing or have really dope material this will b a major fail nd hypebeasts will b in abundance like cool grey release
January 5th, 2011 at 3:26 pm
meh
January 5th, 2011 at 3:31 pm
Gee Skaters act like they own the Dunk saying shit for years that it's for skating only. Maybe now they're gonna act like they own the AJ1 as well. Why does JB not wanna put NIke Air on their retro's but they're cool with NIke SB?
January 5th, 2011 at 3:37 pm
the sb aj1 is bound to look good based on the aj1s similarity to the dunk. but i gotta say that sb'ing other jordan models, aesthetically are not gonna look good. but heads complaining about these being "fusions" are just wrong. This isnt a mashup of different shoes (AJFs, Air Force Foamposites, Spizikes, ect.). The sb aj1 is gonna be adding some skate elements like more padding to the aj1. So these are gonna be more comfortable for walkin around in.
January 5th, 2011 at 4:23 pm
Let me guess your 30 years old XXXL tees and 48 size pants and your probably 5 foot 10 190 pounds!!! Grow some class!!!
January 5th, 2011 at 4:39 pm
ummm this is NOT NEW…Nike SB P-rod collaborated with Jordan before…
January 5th, 2011 at 4:51 pm
I'll just leave this here
http://cdn.complex.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2…
January 5th, 2011 at 4:52 pm
Need to see pics of the models before I come to a conclusion about this collaboration……please let it not be as disastrous as the Air Jordan/Air Force 1 fusion!
January 5th, 2011 at 4:57 pm
That's what Jordan was aiming for. But it didn't really seem to pan out as they anticipated. Good call on that Steelo. You know what you're talking about.
January 5th, 2011 at 5:18 pm
how would he be XXXL tees and 48 size pants if he is 5'10 190 pounds….let me guess you are a dumbass
January 5th, 2011 at 6:10 pm
Check the link below for all those who think the Jordan 1 has nothing to do with skateboarding. These are what skaters rocked when there was little money in skateboarding. These pros went out and bought the J 1's for $19.99 (they weren't selling at the time). Most skate shoes after that were based off the Jordan 1.

January 5th, 2011 at 6:43 pm

January 5th, 2011 at 6:54 pm
SO true.
January 5th, 2011 at 6:58 pm
im all for new stuff. If i dont like it i wont buy it, but im not gonna bash anything that i dont know, it could be interesting
January 5th, 2011 at 7:11 pm
No one has an iq over 50 in this entire thread.
January 5th, 2011 at 7:30 pm
It makes me mad that automaticly every1 who likes jordans are hypebeast. I think of it like this i like jb and if u dont, thats cool but dont dog me for it wtf thats just the deffinition of a hater. i think this should be cold mixing the best nike shoe (in my opinon for the haters) and one of the best jb shoes (again in my opinon) that ever came out.
January 5th, 2011 at 7:32 pm
i think he's trying to say he wears baggy clothes
January 5th, 2011 at 8:23 pm
Wasn't it out already? The Jordan Low Phat?
January 5th, 2011 at 8:24 pm
Mike himself needs to put a stop to this… I'm sure it'll be terrible
January 5th, 2011 at 9:52 pm
Lol he meant that he still wears baggy clothes.
January 5th, 2011 at 10:48 pm
estimation fail. LOL!
January 5th, 2011 at 10:53 pm
I have skated 1's before and their actually really flicky and comfy. Obviously this idea is about the hype and not the skate. This is the biggest hype movement in the last the year. Everything that was once shunned upon has now become to commercialized. Just skate to skate, and quit getting so hyped on THISxTHAT COLLABS, AND THATxTHIS COLLABS. Nike SB is hyping itself into a casket if this goes down.
January 5th, 2011 at 11:04 pm
i honestly dont care if their doin a collab, as long as it looks dope with a suite colorway im gee
January 6th, 2011 at 12:22 am
If the shoe collab turns out good this is gonna be an epic release
January 6th, 2011 at 2:17 am
The letters "SB" do not belong anywhere near a Jumpman or wings logo…
January 6th, 2011 at 2:38 am
@LA2 – i think YOURE the hypebeast. judging other peopls's taste because you tryina be cool smhh.
January 6th, 2011 at 2:40 am
Mike himself doesnt care about the fans. trust me.
January 6th, 2011 at 2:41 am
i thought MJ wore OG 1s with the SBs sole before already. either way i like this sole way better than the original
January 6th, 2011 at 3:12 am
i hope these will be one of the bestest sb's ever and hope they will be selling in asia!
January 6th, 2011 at 8:34 am
We will all be victim to liking these. This collab will kill the term hypebeast. Well I hope at least.
January 6th, 2011 at 9:55 am
dont say hater…thats why you were downed…its just as bad as saying swagger. Be honest though you dont like JB you like their retros. Thats why your called a hypebeast. I may be wrong but I mess w/ team J's b/c retros are old news to me. Seen them done them whats new???
January 6th, 2011 at 10:57 am
I def agree. I like the 1's but all those combos are killing a classic sneaker.
January 6th, 2011 at 12:38 pm
People who like to wear their clothes like that makes me laugh so HARD, cuz they wanna be wanksta or it just looks like they took a dump in their pants and can't wear their clothes properly.
January 6th, 2011 at 1:56 pm
it may just make the term stronger now that i think about it.
January 6th, 2011 at 3:09 pm
"Can't wear skinny jeans cuz my knots don't fit" – Little hipsters, get some True Religions and step out of those girl pants.
January 6th, 2011 at 6:59 pm
I really think this will end badly. The new designers at JB and at Nike SB are bad and they will just mash up parts. No one really knows until they come out though.
January 6th, 2011 at 6:59 pm
Hypebeasts will probably throw a parade for these shoes even if they suck.
January 6th, 2011 at 7:15 pm
They collaborated with Tinker, and it was not a pair of Jordans, they were an actual P-Rod model referred to as "J-Rods". I don't want these to come out because I don't want to like them and end up buying even more, hahahah, nice problem to have though. When I was a kid I would actually skate in my J's so this is kind of interesting to me.
January 7th, 2011 at 1:30 am
Man I seriously can't stand all these fusions JB is doin. They basically disowned the AJ1. It's now like a drunk teenage girl and she's runnin around gettin with each piece of ass she can get with. Her most recent flavor of the weak is Skaters. JB just stop, close your legs girl!
January 7th, 2011 at 10:29 am
they have to do it, even with out the sb logo on them, all the legends of skateboarding would skate in the air jordans back in the day, they should definitely do it
January 7th, 2011 at 4:12 pm
this is embarrassing that nike sb is running out of shit to do that bad that they are bringing JORDAN into the mix..
fucking MORONS
January 8th, 2011 at 12:00 am
lol hypebeast.
January 8th, 2011 at 12:39 pm
true religion,must be a moe!hoe!
January 8th, 2011 at 4:35 pm
To all you "youngsters", the Air Jordan 1 is what you skated in back in '85. Us little midgets in middle school rocked the J's for ankle support with our Powell Peralta decks and when you killed your J's from all those damn ollie's, it was duck tape time! If I only would have known what my pairs would have been worth…
January 9th, 2011 at 12:38 pm
@EROK you do understand True Religions make skinny and slim jeans, and they aren't all baggy fit I hope.
January 9th, 2011 at 12:43 pm
Jordan is the one running out of ideas. Why else would he keep releasing the same shoes within a small time frame? For example the 3s from the countdown pack or the black and silver 5s, he is running off making fusions with air max as well. <JORDAN IS THE DESPERATE ONE NOT NIKE SB>
January 9th, 2011 at 3:13 pm
You don't need to make a jordan shoe into a skate shoe. I've seen pictures of Tony Alva inna bowl with the AJ I's on
January 9th, 2011 at 3:14 pm
YES! THANK YOU!
January 12th, 2011 at 12:07 am
you rite about da hater part but trust me i dont just like retros i like a lot of brand of shoe and clothing and it just makes me mad that im a hypebeast bcuz 1 of the brands happens 2 b jb or retro jb.
February 20th, 2011 at 1:53 pm
501'z all day
January 15th, 2012 at 9:45 pm
no, the tread pattern is similar, but the dunk sole is more narrow under the arch and the star pattern isnt as aggressive. and it lacks an AIR-SOLE unit too. think you know about jordans SMH
