Jordan Brand has been dabbling in other ventures to build on top of the immortal Air Jordan Legacy. Last year, Jordan Brand teamed up with Air Max to create a new line of footwear infusing classic Air Jordan designs with Air Max technology, with the first of such releases being the Jordan CMFT Viz Air 11. Jordan Brand may be going off on yet another tangent in 2011, because the original Air Jordan 1 will be made into a skate-ready shoe as part of the Nike SB line. This collaborative project isn’t as far-fetched as it seems on the surface, because the Nike Dunk, SB’s most popular and recognizable model, was also the inspiration for the Air Jordan 1 design. An Air Jordan 1 SB is ‘keeping it in the family’ so to speak, and you can expect the new Nike SB Dunk technology to be a part of this Jordan skate-shoe. While a skate-version of the Air Jordan 1 would be an easy pill to swallow, how would you react if every Air Jordan shoe was transformed into a skate-shoe? Let us know your thoughts. via N-SB.
