Nike’s saving the best for last when it comes to the Air Griffey Max 1, because this August, Nike will release an original colorway of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1. The Black/White-Freshwater color combination was one of Griffey’s originals during his stellar Seattle days, and like the other Freshwater colorway of the AGM1, these are poised to be one of the best Retro releases of the year. A black midsole blends in with the mudguard, with Freshwater teal on the upper, a white swoosh at the forefoot, a black lace-placket, and a black ankle strap. Expect these to hit in August 2011, just in time for back-to-school season! Must-have, or do you already have your fill of the Air Griffey Max 1? I think if they made the majority of the shoe power blue and not navy blue it'll look better. But since im a huge titan fan and these are their colors i would consider getting these.

Nah Volts and Freshwaters sold out in days. Unless you live on the East Coast, Griffeys were active in the West Coast.
The reason why they sat was that Vivid Red/Infrared Color, All Blacks, and a RESTOCK of the Freshwaters. Too much product for the demand.

It pisses me off when a sneaker company, notably NIKE, releases what they call a retro and doesnt stick to the original blueprint. I wont buy it because if it isn't created exactly like the original in my book it isnt a retro. To call any such thing a retro is fraudulent in my opinion. It's really dissappointing. Don't support half ass retro's, maybe the shoe companies will get the hint and realizes nothing gets pass the eye of a true sneaker junkie.
