During Sneaker News’ exclusive preview of the Summer 2011 releases, you might’ve seen the Air Max JR, a new Nike hybrid model combining the Air Griffey Max 1 siilhouette and Nike’s latest technology. Featuring a 360-Max Air unit and the super-breathable and super-lightweight Torch upper, the Air Max JR gives the classic baseball shoe a new-age twist while keeping the soul intact. The Air Griffey Max 1 is undoubtedly one of Nike’s best Retro releases of all time, and Nike clearly has plans to elongate the Max 1′s life alongside the release of the Air Griffey Max II. With 360 Air and Torch, there’s no doubt that these will be immensely comfortable – but how would they look when worn casually? Check out some of the upcoming colorways of the Air Max JR after the jump and expect them to hit stores during the Fal 2011 season.

Nike can we just get one time,one shoe in a great colorway that isn't that limited. All the fans can take part and the faux nostalgia of it would actually be pretty cool. Griff is a hero to so many baseball fans young and old…ONCE can we just show the man his proper due?!

Not sure how I feel about these yet. I still got my freshwaters on ice till the Seattle summer of 2011. Some of these colorways are dope tho… Can't beat the OG's

yeah due to christmas my funds were low so i wear my freshwaters as boots so they're kinda beat…these are gonna be a nice alternative and all the colors make it worth while. alot of people will want these and even though they will be wearing the same shoe hopefully its in a different color. cant wait, but I will.

These look like heavy duty X-Training shoes. At least that's what I think these are for.
I would definitely make use of these. stairs, squats, box jumps, plyometrics, everything. Without fearing sprained ankle.

They will be like the 24/7's and the Trainer SC's which are pretty damn comfortable and good updates of a classic. Now like someone else said I wish they did 3 or 4 dope color ways and let them start it off. 7 or 8 IDK? They are dope tho. You can't deny a Freshwater update or the grey and volt.

You must be some snotty nosed kid who just hoped into the shoe game and sports. Or are on you the nuts of the the other baseball players of your generation who cheated most of the time. Griff deserves this hybrid and more. He is one of the greatest baseball players to play the game without steroids… Hank, and Griff!! Thats it!!
In regards to your comment about Lebron being on the same level as MJ or Kobe… You must look at high lights only, and you have never played yourself. Anyone who played ball past highschool will tell you, Lebron is a hell of an ATHLETE, but from a skills perspective… He cant compare to MJ or Kobe.
