Check out Kevin Durant‘s feet on January 17th later this month and you’ll see the Nike Zoom KD III ‘Martin Luther King Day’ colorway. Dr. King’s birthday is celebrated on the third Monday of every January, and Durant is scheduled to battle Kobe Bryant and the Lakers on that momentous day. Kobe will surely have a MLK Jr. Day PE for that game as well (perhaps the Black History Month colorway we showed you over the weekend). Kevin Durant’s MLK Day joints feature a black upper with a special texture that appears to be a tribute to the African art tradition of facial scarification. Additional gold accents on the swoosh, Flywire outrigger, and KD logo on the tongue provide a regal touch to this colorway commemorating one of the most influential people in history.
