The upcoming Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘LA Pack’ represents some of the breathtaking highlights of the city, but here’s a custom pair of Kobe VIs that gives props to another Los Angeles trademark that might not put the city in a positive light. Using the Kobe VI Black/Del Sol as the base, sneaker customizer Emmanuelabor has created the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Smog’, which points to LA’s infamous smog conditions that are caused by high vehicular traffic and industrial growth in the area. Fortunately for us, ‘Smog’ has translated well to this pair of Kobes, as the upper snakeskin has been modified to featured a grey-to-black gradient, with a reflective purple layer beneath the TPU skin. You may be familiar with Emmanuelabor’s other work, like his two Air Jordan IV customs and even the Eggplant Foamposite Air Force 1 Low, so where does this Kobe VI rank amongst his creations? Would you cop these if they released? Check out the detailed shots below and let us know what you think.
