Jordan Brand may have officially unveiled the first four colorways of the Air Jordan 2011 to the media yesterday, but it seems that JB still had one trick left up their sleeves. Tonight as the Heat took on the Knicks under the bright lights at MSG, Dwyane Wade dressed to impress in another yet-to-be-seen edition of the Air Jordan 2011, marking the first time that we’ve seen Wade wear the shoe since he gave us that sneak peek on Christmas Day. This new version of the 2011 features a predominantly black on black look with a patent overlay and the only color contrast coming by way of the translucent outsole and a few subtle hits of white. Expect the shoe to hit retail in the near future, but for now, you can check out some more pics after the jump and stay tuned for release info coming soon.

This was covered in our interview with Tom Luedecke, co-designer of the Air Jordan 2011. The graphic (molded/pressed leather) represents a warrior, and was inspired by similar markings seen on the flying creatures from the movie Avatar. Tinker Hatfield finds inspiration in the most unexpected of things (a couch for Safari print, a lawnmower for the Air Jordan XI) and that certainly is the case for the Air Jordan 2011.

i guess i woulda known if i had watched that video. If i liked the shoe enough to watch that video. If that texture wasnt on there, and i liked the shoe enough to watch the video. But then i guess i woundlnt be asking, huh? lol. Its 2011; Jordan isnt a warrior anymore. He's chillin at home by now. HE prolly doesnt even like the graphic. Time and time again..ive seen the colorways for the 2011..and i wasnt really impressed the first time around…but like most jordan shoes..these joints have grown on me.! This colorway is pure crack..I likes alot!

the black c/w is smooth. i think i like it the best. the other colorways ain't bad either.
all in all its a decent shoe! i'd turn off the "auto-hate" function in your brain and give em a chance

This C/W makes the shoe look MUCH better. I would definitely buy to ball in, even at retail prices.
For the Red/White/Blue Iced soles – the problem is the red is just too bright and then you have this icey blue sole with white. It just looks too much like a clown shoe with a badly matched ice sole with the black jumpman on back.
I think if they want to uphold the jordan colors, then they need an almost all white shoe with just bare minimium red highlights…like the Varsity Red/Infrared / White Jordan 6's.

As sneakernews' biggest Jordan 2011 detractor, I can honestly say that this version of the shoe has changed my opinion completely around. It looks great with the patent, because it looks like the shoe has rain drops on it. Which is a nice effect. I'd definitely buy these.

You said don't let a CW make your mind up for you?!?!? Lol you do know that the CW is what gives life to the shoe, its also 1 of the deciding factor in if the shoe is hot are not. If the CW is executed incorrectly even the best looking jordan model can be disliked.
