Rajon Rondo is truly a pass-first point guard, but don’t underestimate his secondary tools. He can rebound, he can pick your pocket, he can penetrate the lane, and score the occasional bucket when needed, which is why Ragin’ Rajon Rondo is one of the best point guards in the league. It’s no wonder why Nike uses Rondo as the ideal model for the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse, because he embodies the soul of the shoe with his quickness. Among all the Hyperfuse PEs we’ve seen from the 2010-11 NBA Season thus far, Rondo’s is quite unique because his PE logo consists of his jersey number alone. The number 9 is noticeable from any angle, and these new joints he’s been rocking (since spraining his ankle against the Knicks a few weeks back) have him back on track.
