Drake and J. Cole performed at Le Zenith in Paris, France last night as a part of the ongoing Light Dreams and Nightmares Tour. On the last documented stop of the tour, Drake brought out a pair of the ‘Orion Blue’ VII’s, which are set to be released at the end of March, but in Paris, Drake decided to switch it up and wear a pair of the ‘Bordeaux’ Air Jordan VII’s – the storied colorway that MJ wore during the 1992 NBA All-Star Game. J. Cole might have “one upped” Drizzy by going back into his sneaker closet as he wore the Air Jordan VI’s from the 2006 Defining Moments Pack. Who rocked more heat? Check out the detailed images below and let us know who you think had more heat on in Paris.

Perfect timing here on this preview, as you’re going to be getting all the black and gold you can handle over these next two weeks. The latest Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals JS Wings 2.0 will soon hit retailers in a palette that’s so high on contrast you might think Wiz Khalifa designed it. Black here, gold there, black here — the entire upper alternates between these shades like a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey and makes for a look you might have trouble pairing with an everyday outfit. Then again, J.Scott’s ObyO drops are anything but normal, so click through to see more shots and start brainstorming to come up with complimentary gear. via Styles

The stage is set for Kobe Bryant to make a big splash this 2011 NBA All-Star Game, as his Los Angeles Lakers will rent out the Staples Center for a weekend so that the NBA can hold the All-Star Weekend festivities. If Kobe Bryant wins the All-Star Game MVP, that would be his fourth overall, tying him for most all-time with Bob Pettit. Releasing during All-Star Weekend is the Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Pack, featuring a Air Force 1 Foamposite and an Air Force 1 Low VT with Kobe’s shozoku logo on the tongue and a purple/black colorway. Both are slated to be limited, Tier Zero releases, so getting your hands on these will be easier said than done, but Kix-Files has both available right now for pre-order. In 2009, Nike SB created an unexpected classic in the Zoom Stefan Janoski. With immense cross-over appeal (not to mention that skaters actually liked the shoe), the Janoski rose to the top of the Nike SB ranks and became a must-have shoe for all types of sneakerheads. Seamlessly combining classic styling and sleek design, the SB Janoski was one of the best shoes of 2009 (it was a Sneaker News Top 30 of that year) and continues to be a hit in 2011. In addition to the new colorways headed our way, Nike SB introduced a mid-top chukka-esque version of the Janoski, which features a heightened and padded ankle collar. For Fall 2011, we can expect a number of new colorways of both the Low and Mid; for the original design, a maroon suede as well as an off-white cream suede colorway will drop, and for Mids, a classic black/white colorway and a second light green/brown version will make its way to store shelves. Check out this nice group of Fall 2010 Janoski releases and let us know which pair you like best. via HS.

The Nike Air Force 1 High ‘Duckboot’ was designed to keep your feet safe from moisture during this super-snowy winter, there was no protecting a quick sellout at Nike Sportswear’s NYC flagship. For those of us who weren’t able to make the release at 21 Mercer, there’s good news, and of course we’re not talking about the upcoming forecast. But you’ll be ready for whatever nasty weather remains with a new pair of the black AF1 Duckboot, and a full size run just popped up at Michigan’s Premier.

2011 is shaping up to be a great year for Kobe Bryant. He’s already starring in ‘The Black Mamba’, a short film directed by Robert Rodriguez and starring Bruce Willis and Danny Trejo, he will be the home-town representative for the 2011 NBA All-Star Game, his Lakers are once again contenders for an NBA title, presented with the opportunity for a second three-peat, and the Nike Zoom Kobe VI has seen wide success. Here’s a look at some new colorways of the Kobe VI, set to release in the coming months. The ‘Draft Day’ Hornets colorway as well as a Home ‘Del Sol’ colorway is in the works, as is a special gradient-uppered color-combo of black, royal blue, and white with a translucent outsole. Also arriving is a trio of team-based colorways that should be omnipresent once March Madness hits. The yearly Air Force 1 tradition of a special colorway commemorating the ‘animal of the year’ of the Chinese Zodiac continued in 2011 with the Rabbit being the focus. Inspired by the White Rabbit Creamy Candy, this special edition Air Force 1 ‘Year of the Rabbit’ was released with a special packaging mimicking an over-sized candy wrapper. Inside the ‘wrapper’ was the Air Force 1, which features a mix of butter suede, smooth leather, chenille material on the swoosh and tongue tab, and a milky-white midsole/outsole combination – visually similar to the White Rabbit candy. This special release was held at JUICE Shanghai and NPC Shanghai, with a wider release going down this Friday – but without the special packaging. Check out this quick release recap below and if you’re in need of this sweet pair of AF1s, snag a pair on eBay.

The Vans Mike Carroll pro model is sufficiently rare that during our entire run, Sneaker News has never had the pleasure of profiling a new pair. That changes today with a new release cosigned by one of Off the Wall’s most trusted partners, the new Supreme x Vans Mike Carroll. These look something like a Half Cab sans side panel branding, and this wheat-ish colorup adds a ‘Supreme’ script on the tongue so you remember who chose that shade. There are few basketball signatures that naturally feature more texture on their upper than the Nike Zoom Kobe VI, so it’s particularly interesting to see how the ZK6′s signature snake scale design might accommodate another. Turns out that quasi-woodgrain and black mamba scales look great together, and they really serve to further the range of tones you see when looking at the ‘Black History Month’ Zoom Kobe VI. It’s a welcome depth with a relatively simple black/gold colorup only adding other colors on the heel embroidery, and makes us wonder how these stand up to the other BHM releases from Nike Basketball. Click through to see more shots after the jump and let us know which BHM model is best. Thanks Chubunky!
