A clear sign that further improvements can be more of a dynamic evolution is the latest pair of Nike Air BW Gen IIs. This shoe was launched in early 2010 as the first Nike Sportswear heritage model to see its silhouette updated with the multilayered Torch mesh, but with Hyperfuse recently making its mark, Torch was all but forgotten. And maybe that was all for the best, cos it looks like we’re getting a revamped ventilation system on these new BW Gen IIs, something considerably closer to the Nike LeBron 8 V/2. Click through to get a better look at the revamped materials on this familiar black/obsidian combo and grab a pair from select NSW retailers like Titolo.

It was another great weekend of NBA kicks, so let’s get right down to it. We got a look at two varsity red Foamposite colorways, as J.J. Hickson of the Cavs wore the Cranberry 1/2 Cent and Courtney Lee of the Rockets wore the Foamposite One ‘Cough Drop’. Gilbert Arenas reverted back to Jordans with the Air Jordan IX Silver Anniversary, then a pair of Under Armours the following night. J.R. Smith put aside the Kobe VI and wore the Hyperfuse Low in Black/White, but Nick Young continued with the Zoom Kobe as he wore a tonal-blue Kobe VI iD. Mike Bibby again wore the Air Jordan III White/Cement, Gerald Wallace rocked the Flint XIII, and DeJuan Blair showed off his Cool Grey XI. There’s a lot more to see so check out the full weekend recap of NBA Feet below and let us know who had the best ‘Feet’! via ESPN.

The Reebok Insta Pump Fury has enjoyed something of a revival in recent months, with colorways ranging from a shout out to the 20 year old Pump Twilight Zone to some brand new ones that you simply cannot miss. This new pack falls into the latter category, and that’s just as much because the patterns in which they’re covered are sure to stand out in any room. That’s the point of the ‘Safety Pack’ of Insta Pump Furys, a duo of two-toned designs that get a ton of mileage from relatively few colors thanks to some of the busiest uppers we’ve seen all year. One has a cool vibe with tonal blue checks and for something that’s supposed to catch your attention, the black/yellow joints are particularly curious with their dazzle camo-style getup. Click through to see more of both pairs after the jump and let us know if you’d grab these were they available at a US retailer; Japan’s Gettry just got theirs.

We first received a glimpse of the Air Jordan 2011 in Varsity Red and White in the Dominate Another Day ad campaign that featured Jordan Brand’s marquee athlete Dwyane Wade, leading up to the highly publicized Christmas Day match-up between the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers. It was during that game the D-Wade stole the show by debuting the Air Jordan 2011 in the luxurious Varsity Red/White colorway while helping his squad defeated the ‘Snake Charmer’ and the ‘Zen Master’. Here’s a new detailed look at the Air Jordan 2011 in Varsity Red/White; the focus is on the upper leather mudguard, which features a unique molded leather with numerous perforations and a triple-stitched seam. The simplistic design of the Air Jordan 2011 have experts and enthusiasts comparing the 2011 to the Air Jordan XI, but the concept behind the 2011 is clearly a one that adds a fresh new face to the Air Jordan Legacy. These are set to release on January 19th, 2011 so stay tuned to Sneaker News for more detailed info on the upcoming twenty-sixth Air Jordan shoe. via Marqueesole.

“…Black Mamba…boss wants yours shoes!”
Starring Kobe Bryant, Bruce Willis, and the ever-so-threatening Danny Trejo, ‘The Black Mamba‘ film focuses on the Kobe’s biggest challenge yet as he is rerouted from his road-trip to Dallas to the Highway to H-E-Double Hockeysticks. ‘The Black Mamba’ is set for a world premiere during the upcoming 2011 NBA All-Star Game, which will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. In the action-packed mini-movie, you can expect Robert Rodriguez’s signature style of direction as well as a familar cast (Willis was in Rodriguez’s Sin City and Trejo in 2010′s Machete). Expected to release in the Summer 2011 season is a re-issue of the Air Jordan XII Low in White, Black, and Taxi Yellow. The Low-top version of the original colorway was initially released in 2004 and was met with mild success, but it was still a serviceable replacement for the original mid-top version. A Retro release of a low-top non-original version of a shoe might be an interesting move by Jordan Brand considering there are still a few colorways that have yet to see a Retro release, like the Obsidian Mid. Does the re-release of the Air Jordan XII Low ‘Taxi’ point to more Air Jordan XII releases for 2011? Check out these detailed images of the 2011 version and let us know what other Air Jordan XII colorways you’d like to see release. via Marqueesole.

One of the ten starters you’ll see on the Staples Center court during the NBA All-Star Weekend is Kevin Durant, the most prolific scorer not only in the Western Conference, but in the entire league. Number 35 is looking at All-Star Game number 2, and you’ll see him wearing number 3 of his Nike signature shoe in this sweet West-inspired All-Star Game colorway; it’s got a flashy red motif on the upper with a glossy finish on the leather and a unique gradient-like color-blocking that’s been present on other NBA All-Star kicks. Like the LeBron 8 V2 All-Star, it looks like the KD III All-Star will feature a special themed box as well. Want another look? We’ve got more shots below so give them a look and let us know what you think. via NT.

The Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite was an instant sellout in two colorways last year and will certainly see the same scenario play out when an Eggplant model hits later this year. But that’s not the only Nike Sportswear standby to get an update courtesy of relatively newer Nike Basketball technology, as the Nike Dunk High Fuse is set to reboot the game. The first colorway is a simple black upper/white sole combo that serves to keep this somewhat startling look grounded in good style, and we’re already guessing which others might be around the corner. Could we even see these on an NBA court like the Air Jordan Alpha 1? Seems somewhat less likely, but click though to see more of the first Hyperfuse Nike Dunk and let us know if you plan to wear yours in the street or on the hardwood. via Dunk

2011 has witnessed a return to form for the Nike SB Dunk Pro through a combination of its performance enhancements and dusting off some classic colorways. Here’s one that’s a classic in its own right, a Nike SB Dunk High Pro inspired by a key work of modern literature, the story of Don Quixote. The real name of this Spanish tale is almost as long as the lines of stitching that cover this SB Dunk High’s upper, a look that’s said to represent the hay and mud the title character plodded through on his quests. But unlike the ‘Child’s Play’ customs by Diversitile, that type of stitching might have made these fail the unwritten ‘washing machine rule’ that kept these out of production. Extra stitching isn’t exactly ollie-friendly, but would you grab a pair if these released? Click through to get a better look and stick with Sneaker News for all Nike SB release dates. via N-SB

After teaser images surfaced in November, it’s been all quiet on the Air Jordan V ‘Bin 23′ front since we saw another round of previews back in December. Here’s another look at the upcoming AJ7 Retro Premio, and it appears a few changes are in store. Both major differences would be marked if you were standing in the shoes looking down, as the tongue seems to have been replaced by a more typical silver one that’s likely reflective 3M, and the laces in these photos are white. The latter could just as easily be an extra pair, but coupled with the former we’re in for something of a significant change here. So which version do you prefer? Last year’s Air Max TR1 combined the 360-Max Air unit with a Trainer 1 upper to create one of the most comfortable athletic trainer shoes to date. This Fall, that trend continues with the Nike Trainer 1.3 Max, which features the uber-comfortable 360-Max Air unit with the all-new Nike Trainer 1.3 upper. The redesigned Trainer 1.3 features a modified outrigger, using Flywire as the primary source of stability, with a mesh upper for breathability and what appears to be a fitted sock-liner. Check out these catalog renderings after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more updates.

Whenever the Air Classic Big Window comes across our sights, it’s best to pay attention. Considering that it rarely makes a stateside appearance, it’s almost torturous that our friends across the pond can have their healthy share of BWs while we can only look on in envy (or pony up the extra cash for shipping). The Black/Grey color-scheme seen in this new release has to be one of the most versatile every created because you can slap on any color of laces and instantly give it a boost of flavor. Volt laces would make these a nice Dave White x Air Classic BW substitution, some red for that ‘Chili’ flavor, or pretty much anything that isn’t black or white would make these head turners. Of course, leaving them with the tonal grey won’t be a bad choice, so head to JDSports to pick up your pair.
