“Mowabb-inspired ACG release” might sound a bit redundant, but that’s an accurate description of this latest men’s Nike Air Max 90 from the Air Max ACG Pack. The other day Sneaker News gave you a heads up on this Velvet Brown and Circuit Orange colorway, and we were quick to notice the resemblance to the classic color-combination of tan, brown, orange, and purple that made the Mowabb line so popular. Reader responses of “Must have” and “Pure fire” confirmed that these were indeed great, and another comment reading “I would def kill for these” confirmed that some of our readers need to take a chill pill. But in all seriousness, these are one of the best 90s we’ve seen in a while, so take another look after the jump and pick up a pair from id4shoes on eBay.

It’s still Winter, but you can do your best to summon the mighty powers of the Summer season with this new colorway of the Nike Air Max 1 for the ladies. Sneaker News previewed this colorway back in November and gave you a heads up on a pre-order not long after that, so if you missed out on that, this Retro and Sport Red colorway just hit stores. Synthetic suede on the upper with a mesh toe-box is an Air Max nut’s dream, and it being a WMNS release has never stopped the male folks from doing some quick elementary school math and going 1.5 up. Switzerland’s Titolo has these available now so you can expect these at your Nike Sportswear retailer soon if they haven’t gotten them in yet, but you can also swipe a crisp pair on eBay.

Prepare for a big debut of the Nike Hyperfuse Low during the upcoming 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Each pair features an embossed ‘LA’ on the heel with each unique colorway adopting some LA-specific motif. The silver and royal blue pairs feature the All-Star logo on the heel, while both the black/red and teal features the 3-D graphic on the inner lining much like the Zoom Kobe VI ‘Hollywood’. Another duo of red/orange and teal/orange features a translucent ‘ice’ sole that you might not have seen on a Hyperfuse before. The adidas ZX series is one of those unbreakable blocks that build up the sneaker-freak foundation, and like other classic runners from other brands like the Nike Air Max 1, Asics Gel Lyte III, Saucony Shadow, and so on, the adidas ZX will continue to live on so long as new and fresh colorways make its way to the public. Take for example this new release of the adidas ZX500 in a black, blue, and white colorway; we’ve seen this combination before but the tonal black upper paird with the blue tongue, inner lining, and heel cup emphasizes the simplistic nature of the ZX500 while the textured upper adds some nice flair. Schuh-You has these available now so take a look after the jump and head there to cop a pair.

More proof that adidas may have grown tired of post-recession tonality: this new adidas Originals Nizza Lo XL. These are the ankle-cut answer to the Nizza Hi XL we showed you earlier, their canvas uppers utilizing strong contrasts including leather Stripes and the oversized branding that has become a major theme from Three Stripes this season. It probably depends on the garments you plan to match these with, but is this lowtop Nizza greater or less than its hightop counterpart? Previewed as a part of the adidas Skateboarding spring 2011 lineup, here’s a closer look at the new adidas Ronan lowtop. These joints are named after a tiny Montana town but their look is derived from serious dedication to pavement and griptape. It’s the little features like a super-comfy Geo-fit collar and inset laces (keeps em away from ollie-induced abrasions) that makes the Ronan a must-ride and the impeccable Bred suede colorup means these are a good lifestyle choice to boot. Click through to see more and look for these at adidas Skate retailers like Caliroots.

We’ll continue to see new variations on the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star hopefully till the end of time and the latest twist is a decidedly rugged one. The Chuck Taylor AS Classic Boot Hi just showed up for the first time at Bread & Butter Berlin looking just like your classic moc-toed Red Wing boot. They’re done in premium leather or suede with metal eyelets and corded boot laces, with both pairs applying white contrast stitches to different effect. Unlike most packs that seem to drop all at once, the Nike Air Max ACG Pack has enjoyed a staggered release that makes the collection seem a bit bigger. And they get no better than this Nike Air Max 1 ‘ACG’, a black upper/white sole combo that could have been right at home with last year’s massive Air Attack Pack. Victory Green comes in on the Swooshes and finds tonality in lime laces, or push yours toward a festive look with a red secondary pair. You can see both of these looks up close after the jump and look for them in stores soon or grab yours today from ID4Shoes on eBay.

If the current standings hold, both Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard will start in February 20th’s 2011 NBA All Star Game. D.Rose and D-12 both have dope new adidas Basketball signatures so of course we’ll see ASG edition colorways for the new kicks. First up is the adidas adiRose 1.5 in black with Eastern Conference blue accents peeking thru, plus a disco ball-like scored chrome on the heel branding. Howard’s Superbeast its typical meshy look and uses another synthetic instead, one that’s detailed with tonal star imagery and the same Studio 54 Stripes. A couple days ago, Sneaker News showed you a look into the Gourmet spring 2011 footwear collection, of which one pair stood out well above the rest. A cheetah print Gourmet Due looks like a 4-figure handbag with its zippered design, but here’s a new pair that goes in the completely opposite direction. This new Due L features a leather mudguard that gives way to a tonal canvas vamp, a simple yet effective combo that’s poised to keep you comfy and ‘clean’ in the new year. One of the most memorable moments in Nike SB Dunk was the creation and eventual cancellation of the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Freddy Krueger’ which was inspired by the Nightmare on Elm Street horror series. Although a few pairs made their way out to the public, the mystique of the Freddy Krueger SB Dunk lives on, much like the murderous character it was inspired by. Another big-time horror hit of decades ago was one of the ‘Good Guys’, an inanimate playdoll that takes a turn for the worse when it becomes alive and goes on a homicidal streak. ‘Chucky’ is the inspiration behind this latest custom pair of sneakers by Diversitile, who has done some outstanding work with the Nike Dunk High and Nike Blazer. Featuring Chucky’s signature overalls and striped t-shirt with his stitched-up scalp on the toe-box, this Dunk High custom features astounding craftsmanship and conceptual realization – which we should now expect from Diversitile and his pieces. Check out the extra shots below and let us know what you think.
