Here’s one you might expect to see from Russell Westbrook or Kevin Durant, if they didn’t have plenty of PEs and signature colorways, respectively. Maybe we’ll see one of their Oklahoma City Thunder teammates break out this new Nike Air Max Fly By for a road game, cos its black body with Photo Blue and Team Orange accents looks quite a bit like Westbrook’s Zoom Hyperfuse PEs and any number of Zoom KD releases. A perfect match for the Thunder’s away jerseys and also pretty versatile for open gym, streetball or wherever you handle the rock, these AM Fly Bys are available from ID4Sports on eBay.

adidas Originals borrowed Jeremy Scott’s super-Trefoil tongue for the Metro Attitude Logo, but here’s one with an oversized logo executed differently. The adidas Originals Metro Attitude XXL earns its name from the embiggened insignia that marks the spot you’d normally find a smallish tongue tag, and this sets the pace for the rest of this Ultramarine-style colorway. The contrast of white leather and blue ripstop nylon makes for a particularly light feel that’s perfect for spring and you can grab yours today from select Three Stripes spots like Schuh-You.

The signature three-toned colorway for the Nike Air Classic BW is, of course, that immortal ‘Persian Violet’ look, but here’s a new one for spring 2011 that’s on par with the OG. These new BWs are done in the same blocking pattern as the Persians, but instead of black and purple these go for Medium Grey and kelly green, respectively. The result is something that’s both familiar and fresh, an ideal look for springtime that’s quite a bit more versatile than your average green sneakers. Check out more shots after the jump and look for these soon at US Nike Sportswear spots; they just hit Swiss retailer Titolo.

The most recent entry from HUF here on Sneaker News is their upcoming collaboration on the Asics Gel Lyte III, but here’s a new set of in-house designs from the California-based brand. The HUF Tahoe is a lowtop whose classic styling is enhanced by a leather wing that divides the upper diagonally down from the eyelets. It’s done in tan on all three pair, including white, black and cement pairs, all three of which you can see after the jump. Their signature design element is somewhat similar to the Hupper hightops, but obviously not an ‘H’ on this model; which one’s better? via GLLTN

That beautiful mosaic of Nike Air Force 1s pictured above is a sign to you that new options are available on Nike iD. Judging by the extensive collection of sample pairs offered by Nike Sportswear at the 21 Mercer iD studio, this might be the best lineup of colors and materials yet. Some of these Air Force 1 Lows and Highs rival the very best we’ve seen in recent years, with the suede on these looking particularly lush. The chenille Swooshes that famously appeared on last year’s 5 Boroughs Pack are also a new option, so click through to get some ideas then call 21 Mercer to schedule an appointment.

Wait a second — didn’t we just see a new Nike Air Max 90 for women in black, white and Varsity Red?! Indeed we did, but as is the case with the patent leather accents on the previous pair, for whatever reason we tend to see a ton of Bred AM90s. Maybe it’s cos the Air Max 90′s silhouette lends itself so well to high-contrast colorblocking, and that’s exactly what you get here with a look that keeps its white to the heel and forefoot midsole, leaving the rest aggressively split between black and V.Red. Check out more shots after the jump and look for these soon at select Nike Sportswear retailers; Kicks-Crew just got theirs a bit earlier than expected.

Can you really be league MVP for the third season in a row when you play with another top-5 guy and an elite max-earning big man? You gotta feel like the answer could be yes this year for LeBron James, a guy whose 26, 7 and 7 simply cannot be understated. Bron’s gonna be an All Star for the 8th time in 8 seasons and the ASG edition Nike LeBron 8 V2 is gonna feature a special packaging worthy of its contents. The box has a decidedly East blue look to it but the top is comprised of sublimated images that almost give off a 3-D vibe. Should be very interesting to see in person, and we have more shots after the jump so let us know what you think of the All Star LeBron 8 V/2 box. via DJCK

The first pack of Saucony Elite retro runners hit select retailers last summer and they’ve gotta be among the best pair-for-pair collections in recent memory. Running shoe fans know you simply can’t go wrong with a classic silhouette and premium suede, so we expect the spring 2011 collection to sell out faster than you can say Sock-a-knee. There are four different Shadow 6000s and a Jazz 91 thrown in for good measure, each of which makes good use of select pre-yellowing to achieve an authentic vintage feel. Check out more shots after the jump and act fast if you wanna get one of the mere 300 pairs of each model; Boston’s Bodega is one of the only US spots that has em.

We made the comparison between adidas and Nike’s basketball divisons when recently previewing the upcoming Crazy 8 retros, and here’s another case where that effect is present, if not doubled. The adidas adiPure is crafted in the breathable SprintSkin synthetic that while somewhat similar to Nike Hyperfuse (not to mention the PureMotion podular sole taking its cues from KB8-era ‘Feet You Wear’), actually predates the Swoosh’s latest great material. But there’s no denying the similarity between these first two colorways and the various Highlighter Packs, given the ASG pair’s yellow look and this new model’s neon green design. Click through to see more of the Intense Green adiPure and look for these at select Three Stripes retailers like Eastbay starting February 4th.

The old-meets-new Nike V-Series x Nike Lunar releases of 2011 might have you thinking “What other classic Nikes will be released with a Lunar cushion?”. We’ve seen other time-honored designs like the Nike ACG Wildwood, Air 180, and the Nike Woven be given the Lunar tune-up, and they’ve generally been received with an arms-wide-open embraced. Old-school faves made considerably more comfortable? Seems like a no brainer. The Lunar Venture adopts the same approach, taking the classic V-Series release of the mid-80′s and adding a Free-grooved LunarLon cushion, a lightweight, hidden-seam upper, and a snazzy speckling on the midsole rim. Finishline has this new colorway of the Lunar Venture available for purchase so take another peek after the jump and let us know what other classic Nike Running shoes you’d like to give the Lunar treatment.

It’s not quite as common as the 574 or 580, but right in the middle is the beautiful if relatively rare New Balance 577. Here are two new 577s for later in 2011, each of which offers its own twist on bright neon accents. On the purple pair, a pink/red sockliner is more of a carryover while a neon green lining on the charcoal grey joints offers a breath of fresh air, one that’s particularly springy. Do you prefer the exuberant look or a more conservative shell with a wild side? Click through to see both and stick with Sneaker News for updates. via FNG
