Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Pack ShowcaseWith the NBA All-Star Weekend taking place in Los Angeles this year, you know Nike had to do something special to honor their favorite LA All-Star, Kobe Bryant. We already brought you a look at the new “Black Mamba” trailer and some pics from the Q&A with Kobe and Robert Rodriguez, but there was plenty more to reveal from yesterday’s event. Aside from his All-Star shoe and the three LA-inspired Zoom Kobe VI’s that will be releasing,  there will also be two Kobe Air Force 1 models hitting retail in February as well. We’ve already shown you a few looks at both the Eggplant Air Force 1 High Foamposite and the Air Force 1 Vac Tech, both featuring Laker-esque color schemes and Kobe’s Shozoku logo on the tongues, but now we get to see some new images in all their glory at home  inside the Nike Vault at Staples Center.

In addition to the two Kobe-inspired Air Force 1′s, we also got a look at the latest in Kobe apparel, including an appearance by members of the Nike Kobe apparel team to break down some of the latest products inspired by the Black Mamba. Nike Zoom Kobe VI Duke New Images

One popular piece of Kobe-trivia is this tidbit of information about Duke being a possible suitor for Kobe Bryant if he didn’t go straight to the NBA after High School. Kobe in a Blue Devils uniform would have been quite an interesting sight, and teaming up with future NBA-ers Roshown McLeod and Trajan Langdon (and later on with Shane Battier and Elton Brand) might’ve produced more National Championships for Coach K. and crew. That’s all speculation, but certainly one that isn’t too far off, because Kobe Bryant won five championships on the NBA level. Here’s a look at the upcoming Varsity Royal ‘Duke’ Zoom Kobe VI pair that is set for a March 5th release; it features a blue-on-blue snake-skin upper with a translucent blue outsole and a black tongue/heel-cap combo. Check out these new images after the jump and let us know what you think of the colorway. via MarqueeSole.

Nike LeBron 8 P.S. Royal Black

Sneaker News was first to bring you a teaser and detailed look at the Nike LeBron 8 P.S., LeBron James’ third signature shoe of the 2010-11 NBA Season. Featuring a super-lightweight Fuse upper, carbon-fiber midfoot plate, a Zoom Air cushioned forefoot, and a Max Air cushioned heel, the even light LeBron 8 P.S. brings an even lighter package than the V2 and should help LeBron and the rest of the Heat squad win the ultimate prize this June. There certainly are high expectation for LeBron – anything less than a multiple championship-winning cause would put his ‘Decision’ under scrutiny for years to come. The Heat have been clicking quite well this season and we’re more than certain that they’ll be big players once the Playoffs narrow down. Check out these new images of the Royal Blue colorway of the LeBron 8 P.S. after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for all your Nike LeBron 8 updates and information. via MarqueeSole.

Nike Basketball All Star 2011 Footwear Showcase @ The Vault LA

As you may already know, this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend festivities will be held in Los Angeles, so to celebrate, Nike will be releasing a slew of All-Star footwear inspired by the upcoming event’s home city. Yesterday at The Vault outside of Staples Center, Nike held a media showcase to flaunt some of the new goodies that we’ll be seeing in a few weeks during 2011 All-Star action. The collection has been split into three different sub-sections, each one honoring a different section of the LA area. For each of the three regions, there will be a Zoom Kobe VI and two Hyperfuse Lows featuring color schemes and special logos and LA branding inspired by the respective identity of the three subjects – Hollywood, East LA and Orange County.

In addition to a display of the shoes spread throughout The Vault, there was also a Q&A session hosted by Kevin Frazier designed to provide a more in-depth understanding of the ideas behind the collection. Nike designer Erick Goto, an LA native and the man behind these eye-catching new colorways, was brought onstage to give those in attendance a behind the scenes account of how the project came to be and exactly what the inspiration was for each color scheme – like the beautiful orange sunset graphic that graces the Orange County Zoom Kobe VI and the 3-D nod to Hollywood that appears on both the Kobe VI and two accompanying Hyperfuse Lows. Continue reading for a detailed look at the upcoming Nike Basketball All-Star 2011 collection and keep an eye out for the rest of the shoes either at or hitting retailers during the next few weeks.

adidas Questar Fresh Blue Electricity Shade Grey

The adidas Questar has gone quiet over the last few years, but that doesn’t mean it has been forgotten. The last big splash for the Questar was from the adidas Oddity series nearly half a decade ago; featuring insane color-blocking using colors like bubble-gum pink and metallic gold, the adidas Questar became a hit during a time when multi-colored sneakers were the hot item. This all-new colorway of the Questar grabs a similar motif, using a combination of Fresh Blue, Electricity, and Shade Grey with a nubuck upper and perforated toe-box, with a mesh tongue and signature adidas Running diamond-mesh laden midsole. Take a closer look below because Schuh-You has these available now!

Nike Dunk High Premium Denim French Football Federation Pack

When it comes to raw selvage denim, France can make serious claim to world champions thanks to A.P.C.  Jean Touitou’s premium jeans brand isn’t officially attached to this project, but this pack of Nike Dunk High Premiums is undeniably more evidence of superior French denim.  Created as part of the French Football Federation Pack, these joints add a red/white/blue flag and rooster medallion to the heel tab of pairs that are otherwise entirely denim with a grey leather heel.  Click through to see the Medium Grey and Obsidian pairs, let us know which one is better and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release.  via Dunk
