adidas Originals releases new ZX800 colorways fairly regularly but here’s one that’s unlike all the rest before it. The James Bond for David x Beckham adidas Originals ZX800 DB achieves a unique look by stripping out the signature side panel Three Stripes and going with the same mesh that provides breathability on the toe. The result is a much cleaner overall design that serves to partially offset the high contrast colorway. Better with Stripes or without? Click through to get a better look and expect these at US ObyO distributors soon; VA in Japan just got theirs.

adidas Basketball has been making strides of late both with its marketing and we can’t forget about those stellar new signatures for Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard. But one area Three Stripes unquestionably trails the Swoosh is in the basketball retro department. Nike’s rich retro heritage is unmatched by any brand, but knowledgeable sneakerheads know one of their biggest stars started with adidas. The adidas Crazy 8 is back again, marking the second round of post-Kobe retros for the young Mamba’s second signature sneaker. The three colorways we see here today are about as classic as you can get, from black/white to Bred and a USA flag edition whose ’8′ tongue embroidery is most clearly visible. Get prepared for a fluid combination of Nike classics and fashionable taste. Steven Alan is best known for his use of high-quality materials on his signature apparel, so it shouldn’t hurt us that Alan received free-range in materials when he designed the Nike Toki, Nike Magma AC, Nike Lava Dome, and Nike Talache Low. Steven Alan has the invaluable ability to make even the most simple and toned-down of colors stick out in a large crowd, a sublime tool used for this collaborative project. Check out his take on the Nike Lava Dome; it features a grey suede and nylon upper with three different swoosh colors. He’s also re-tooled the Nike Toki to feature an elastic inseam for the true lifestyle boot appeal. The Magma features a full suede upper, while the Talache goes to opposite route with a full ballistic-nylon construction. The Steven Alan x Nike Sportswear Footwear Collection will drop tomorrow, January 21st at Steven Alan retailers so continue reading for a look at the collection and let us know what you think.

It ain’t no fun if the homies can’t have none, so adidas Originals is finally giving long time supporter Snoop D-o-double-gizzle his own sneaker. Will the Snoop Dogg x adidas Originals release draw favorable comparisons to the Nike Air Yeezy or Swizz Beats’ upcoming Reeboks? They’re crafted in leather and suede with black serving as the base for Lakers-colored accents and a white sole. There’s also a bit of white on the tongue in the form of a pair of cartoon eyes you might recognize if the first line of this post rung a bell. We just got a look at a duo of new upcoming Foamposite Pro colorways slated for fall, but how about the model of which it’s a minor alteration, and one of that model’s new colorways. The Nike Air Foamposite One might not be as South Beachy as the Retro Pros or as foresty as the Dark Pine edition but this Metallic Pewter colorway is one of the most natural possibilities and reminds us we’ve still somehow yet to see Zinc on either OG Foamposite. Hopefully that one’s on the way soon and you can say the same about the Metallic Pewter Foam Ones when you grab yours from Kix-Files or get a pair early on eBay.

Stockholm shoe suppliers SneakersNStuff are back at the collabo game again, this time with something more appropriate for the spring season. You can put your Lovikka Chucks in the closet till next winter and spend plenty of time in the new SNS x Asics GT II. These joints are about as versatile as a shoe with vivid red accents can be thanks to a super lush grey suede design that pushes neutral toward beautiful. It seems like the European sneakerheads translate their love of ‘trainers’ into superb tag team efforts and we can’t help but wonder if this is an early contender for the 2011 Sneaker News Top 30. Parra and Patta’s Air Max 1 topped last year’s list; how do these compare to the reigning champ? Click through to get a better look, let us know what you think and stick with Sneaker News for the exact date of this June 2011 release.

The Nike SB Dunk Pro is at the heart of Swoosh Skateboarding’s 2011 strategy, but even though there are a ton of hot Dunks on deck, let’s not forget about the rest of the SB lineup. New colorways of your favorites will hit select retailers in February, and let’s start the breakdown with a tonal red Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski that achieves a unique result by adding a black sockliner and aqua foxing band. Elsewhere in the classically styled lowtop department is the Zoom Bruin SB in an a Dark Loden/Metallic Gold combo that comes off even darker than a Tar/Black SB Blazer Low CS. Last but not least is the V-Rod in a Dodger-style colorway, and you can see all four pairs in more images after the jump. via 247

To describe Jeremy Scott’s fashion fixtures as ‘edgy’ would be the understatement of the decade. He’ll put anything and everything on a sneaker, as witnessed by yesterday’s Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals ‘Panda’, but despite how off-base the designs may be, it still manages to strike the correct note of curiosity. The Jeremy Scott Collection is certainly one of the more sought-after releases as retailers for this limited release typically run out not long after the new drops hit the shelves, and these two upcoming releases, which add a new flavor to the Jeremy Scott Collection, should be big hits as well. The first pair features a ‘Flintstones’ motif, with a cheetah-print mudguard and oversized dinosaur bone add-ons on the laces. The second pair features an iridescent reptile skin on the toebox with cheetah print on the upper and the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals crest on the tongue. Take a look at both after the jump and let us know what you think. via Numelo.

Earlier today Sneaker News showed you Gilbert Arenas’ Nike Air Penny II, but there was a lot more to see around the league. The Nike Air Max Fly By has become a popular choice, as we saw Blake Griffin, Lamar Odom, Jeff Green, and many others wear GR and PE colorways. The Hyperfuse is still one of the top choices as well, as Rajon Rondo, Steph Curry, Ty Lawson, and a slew of other slashing guards rocked the lightweight basketball shoe. Ray Allen still maintained the crown as the owner of the best PEs in the game as he wore the White/Gold/Green Air Jordan XI PE last night. Two Team Jordan members in Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul also wore their respective signatures. The Nike Zoom Kobe VI has become a popular choice, as Kobe Bryant and fellow LA teammates wore the Kobe VI, but it was two swingmen out in D.C. stole the show as Andray Blatche wore the Kobe VI Black History Month and Nick Young showed off his tonal-blue PE/iD. Continue reading for a full recap and let us know who had the best kicks. via ESPN.
