Nike SB Dunk Low Premium – Theotis Beasley

The Nike SB Dunk Low Premium pictured above has been associated with Kenny Powers since even before the second season of Eastbound & Down aired on HBO, but on the eve of its release it’s also been attached to a SB team rider.  Now the Theotis Beasley Dunks, they still bear an undeniable resemblance to Powers’ jetski, with Nike’s iconic Safari print taking the place of cheetah.  Paired with purple suede overlay, it’s a bold and confrontational look fitting its pop culture reference with newly improved Dunk quality skaters like Beasley demand.  Click through to see more and let us know what you think of this SB Dunk. via CT.

Swizz Beatz x Reebok Name These Kicks Contest

Hey RBK, what’s the name of that sneak(er)?  A new page just popped up on Swizz Beatz‘ website with a look at a new colorway of his upcoming collaboration with Reebok.  The yet to be named shoe looks doper than ever in a mix of grey tones and textures with Schoolly D in the background and a call to action for all you sneakerheads out there.  Pick a name for the shoe and tweet it for the world to see, and Reebok will collect the list and pick one to announce as the winner on February 16th.  Click through to see more and let us know some of your ideas — it’d be pretty sick to declare your choice here on Sneaker News today and come back later for the world to see you knew yours could win!

Nike Unveils Latest The Black Mamba Trailer @ LA Media Event

Following today’s Lakers vs. Celtics showdown at the Staples Center in LA, Nike held a special media event to showcase the 2011 All-Star footwear collection with a special emphasis on who else, but hometown hero, Kobe Bryant. One of the major highlight of the day’s festivities was a look at the newest trailer for “The Black Mamba” movie project directed by Hollywood heavyweight Robert Rodriguez. While seeing the new trailer was exciting enough, the real treat was revealed when both Rodriguez and the Black Mamba himself took the stage with host Kevin Frazier to discuss the high-profile upcoming project.

The two talked about how the idea came to be, as well as the concept behind the film and getting mega-stars like Kanye West and Bruce Willis involved in the mix. Also of note, Rodriguez who is rarely seen without a pair of cowboy boots on his feet was decked out in a pair of size 14 Del Sol Zoom Kobe VI’s given to the director straight off Kobe’s feet after the filming of the movie. Keep reading to check out some pics from the event and a look at the all new trailer for “The Black Mamba,” set to debut in its entirety in a few weeks during the All-Star festivities.

Air Jordan V Premio Black Metallic Silver | Available Early

Number 5 of the Jordan Brand Bin 23 Collection is fittingly the Air Jordan V. Featuring a luxurious black leather upper with a 3M tongue and tonal-black ’23′ on the heel, the Air Jordan V Premio offers a high-end dress-shoe like package that was never before done on an Air Jordan V. All the black-uppered releases of the V featured durabuck/nubuck materials and it’s certainly clear and present that this black leather does wonders for the shoe. Some or our readers have been, for a lack of a better term, unimpressed with the colorway, as the previous four Air Jordan Premio releases featured an exciting new colorway, but recall that the Jordan Brand Bin 23 Collection isn’t necessarily a new take on an Air Jordan shoe, but a revival of an idea that was scrapped before. Check out these new details below and if you want them early, grab a pair right now from Kickscrew.

Air Jordan Prime 5 Laser – Black – Varsity Red | Available

The Air Jordan 2011 is certainly the hot topic from Jordan Brand at this moment, but here’s another look at the Jordan Prime 5 ‘Laser’ that combined Jordans number 1 and number 5. This Prime 5 release features a laser-etched upper graphic detailing the Air Jordan Legacy in mosaic form, completely overtaking the black portions of the upper while leaving just the center faux-netting panel clear. The Prime 5 combines the Air Jordan Alpha 1 body frame with the Air Jordan V trademarks like the oversized 3M-reflective tongue and the clear lacelock with Lasering that first debuted on the Air Jordan XX. Too much at once, or just the perfect mix? These just dropped at Size? in the UK so check out these new detailed images below and check out the prices on eBay.

Nike LeBron 8 V/2 Toddler – ‘Cool Grey’ | Available

We’re certain man-child LeBron James was wearing a men’s size 7.5 when he was still a toddler, but for the humans of normal anatomical proportions, check out Nike LeBron 8 V/2 ‘Cool Grey’ for toddlers. The special add-on t0 the toddler-sized LeBron 8s is the shiny metallic silver ankle strap (which would look ridiculously awesome on the men’s version), but these do no feature an Air Max cushion. Perfect for your little one when he/she is dunking over the other kiddies at the sandbox or during the pick-up games at Daycare, these snazzy toddler LeBrons will be great additions to your child’s growing sneaker collection. Check out the pics below and pick up a pair from awesomelee65 on eBay.

Nike ACG Lunar MacLeay+ Black Moss Green | Available

The Nike ACG Lunar MacLeay was All Conditions Gear’s best new release in 2010, one that made the cut for our Sneaker News Top 30 list.  And if the MacLeay was a free throw shooter, it’d be Steve Kerr because pretty much every single colorway is a can’t miss.  The latest is this black leather edition whose Moss Green accents and vibrant green midsole-rim speckling keep it anchored to the outdoorsy feel without placing them out of range for your wardrobe. A worthy followup to the identically blocked Fog nubuck pair that most recently hit retail, this black leather Lunar MacLeay is available now from id4shoes on eBay.

Nike Air Force 1 Low – White – Black Gloss

If there wasn’t already a Nike Air Force 1 ‘Scarface’, then these could easily take their spot.  This latest Air Force 1 Low reminds us that 2010 featured a ton of all-white and all-black, but all you’d need is a pair of red laces to journey back from ’11 all the way to 1983.  Obvious allusions aside, these represent a wholly new look thanks to the interplay between the relatively flat white forefoot and a glossy black leather that peeks through via side panel Swoosh.  Another fine example of Nike Sportswear working with ‘subtler’ visual qualities than just colors and blocking patterns, this new panda bear AF1 Low is available from Caliroots.

adidas Originals Superstar ‘Patchwork’ – Premium Icons Pack

When one thinks of ‘patchwork’, you’re probably picturing a pair of piecemeal cargo shorts constructed of various Madras plaids, and while there’s a bit of that on here, the latest release from adidas Originals might give you a new association.  The adidas Originals Superstar ‘Patchwork’ earns its name by combining a variety of materials onto a single shelltoe.  Everything from canvas and mesh to leather and patterned textiles are in play here, resulting in another look that signals to the world Three Stripes is ready to move on from post-recession tonality.  This release seems like a logical step from their mid-’00s (and a few recent drops) high contrast fare, and you can see more after the jump.  via SDG

New Balance M576 ‘Made in England’ – Fall/Winter 2011

The latest Bread & Butter Berlin tradeshow featured a huge preview of late 2011 footwear from Boston-based brand, New Balance.  NB has five factories in the New England area, but likely their most famous production facility is located in Flimby, England.  Kicks crafted at Flimby are ‘Made in England’, just like these New Balance M576s for fall/Winter 2011.  The high quality leather on these three previewed pairs is somewhat similar to End’s Pub Pack collaboration, and their elegant color(s)/blocking is every bit as classic as an order of fish and chips. These’ll hit some time after July 1, so click through for more and stick with Sneaker News for updates.   via FNG
