Nike Air Force 1 High ‘Tec Tuff’ – Brown | Available

The Nike Air Force 1 Low Tec Tuff Pack released during the rough Winter 2010 season. Perfect timing, we’d say, as Tec Tuff is intended to provide heightened security against scratches and dings and anything else that adds to the wear and tear of Air Force 1s. For Spring 2011, a high-top version will release, and here we get a look at the first of such colorways – a tonal brown that’s as rugged and outdoorsy as ‘Tec Tuff’ suggests. The build of the Air Force 1 High Tec Tuff is identical to the low, meaning the Tuff material can be seen on the toe and he heel panel. It’s still technically the winter season (especially in the Northeast where Mother Nature is giving the region a spanking) so suit up properly by picking up a pair from BXSports.

Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Low – Black – White – Pink

It’s been a few months since we’ve seen a new pink-n-shrink Nike Air Force 1 for women, so let’s take a look at a pair that just hit retail.  These joints are done mostly in tonal black, with suede laid atop a lightly tumbled leather base.  With these in mind, choosing smooth white leather for the Swoosh and heel tab is spot-on, the latter of which lends its pink-on-white look to the sole.  There’s a Valentine’s Day WMNS AF1 on the way soon as well, so which one will you pick?  Click through to see more of this pair and grab yours today from select Nike Sportswear accounts like Dr. Jays.

David Beckham x adidas ObyO – Superstar Saddle DB

This next adidas Originals by Originals design by David Beckham combines two classic shoe designs to form an all-new supremely unique take on ‘lifestyle sport’. One part traditional saddle shoe, one part adidas Superstar, the David Beckham x adidas Originals by Originals Superstar Saddle features shell-toe construction with upper panels mimicking that of the low-heeled oxford shoe made popular in the 1950s (and again by hipsters today). It’s amazing how two distinct shoes can maintain their identity even when combined into one, but an equal compromise on both sides is what makes this hybrid so harmonious. Check out both colorways below and hit up Proper to get your pair.

Nike Air Max 95 – Black – Dark Shadow – Medium Grey | Available

Although January has been a hush-hush month for the Nike Air Max 95, nobody has forgotten about ‘em. This Spring 2011 release features a familiar black/grey gradient on the upper with black mesh and purple accents in a colorway similar to the Nike Air Max Penny 1 ‘Club Purple’ that became available earlier this month. Of course, this colorway lacks the even the slightest hint of orange as seen i the Air Max Penny release, deeming these no longer a  ‘Suns’ colorway but that of the ‘Kings’. Corporate just made these available so take a look below and head on over there to grab a pair or check out the prices now on eBay.

Sneaker News Weekly Rewind: 1/22 – 1/28

Closing out the month of January was a bucketload of great sneaker related news and happenings. The Postseason version of the Nike LeBron 8 was unveiled this week, featuring Fuse and a Zoom/Max Air cushioning combo. LeBron’s Nike counterpart Kobe Bryant had a lot going, as we got a look at some new colorways of the Kobe VI along with some new info for some his most anticipated kicks. As usual, Jordan-related topics drew the largest crowds, as we got a look at two upcoming GS Retros and a sweet historical comparison of the Air Jordan III. The 2011 NBA All-Star Game is just a few weeks away, so Sneaker News also showed you some of the All-Star kicks from Nike, Jordan, and adidas while providing a thorough viewing of what our favorite NBA All-Stars (and snubs) are wearing right now.

On the skate side of things, Sneaker News gave you a look at all the February 2011 releases in footwear apparel and topped it off with a great feature comparing the new and old Nike SB Dunk Pro. Vans also got our attention with news of another collaboration with urban/skate brand Supreme. In other collaborations, Sneaker News gave you a detailed look at the Australian colorway Packer x Reebok Court Victory Pump Grand Slam Pack which is set to release on Saturday, January 29th. Other noteworthy news was a great custom pair of Dunk Highs from Diversitile, Drake, J. Cole, and Anne Hathaway in some interesting kicks, and a big sneaker-related event recap in Houston. Of course, the biggest news story of the week was the official unveiling of the Air Jordan 2011; Sneaker News brought you first-hand coverage of all the Air Jordan 2011 upcoming releases as well as a one-on-one interview with AJ2011 co-designer Tom Luedecke. There’s a lot of great news ahead so check out Sneaker News Weekly Rewind for an opportunity to stay on top of the sneaker game – that’s all Sneaker News has to offer.
