Jordan Brand has made a concerted effort to transform the young ladies into Jordan fanatics by releasing a Girls-only set of kicks with infusions of pink, the quintessential ‘girly’ color. One of those releases is this Air Jordan XIII colorway, which combines White, Stealth, and Spark. In late 2010, another Girls-only releases in Black, White, and Voltage Cherry dropped, so these are the perfect opposite judging by the white base. Of course true Jordan fanatics need to have multiple colorways of one shoe, so if you’re tiny-footed and already copped the Flints, Voltage Cherrys, Altitudes, and even the ‘Bulls’, this February 5th will be yet another opportunity to add a pair of XIIIs to your stash. Check out these images after the jump and pick up a pair right now from Millenium Shoes or eBay.

The Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘LA Pack’ is a special collection of Kobe VI colorways representing some of the more recognizable LA territories. The first of such exciting colorways we saw was this all-blue Kobe VI that featured a Los Angeles-specific scenic background on the upper. These were at first thought to be the All-Star colorway of the Kobe VI, but that was nothing more than conjecture because not much was known about the ‘LA Pack’ at the time. Tomorrow, the ‘East LA’ Kobe VI will be hitting retailers such as Eastbay in limited quantities so don’t miss out. If you want to guarantee yourself a pair of this limited Kobe VI release, grab one now on eBay.

Leather to Flywire accounted for the first phase of the weight reduction of the Nike LeBron 8, so what’s in store for phase 2? Earlier today Sneaker News gave you a teaser preview of the third Nike LeBron 8 shoe of 2011 – the Nike LeBron 8 PS. To further reduce the weight of the shoe, Fuse material has been used on the upper, creating an immensely lightweight package for LeBron James to wear during the 2011 NBA Postseason. In addition to the use of Fuse is the combination of the Max Air on the heel and Zoom Air on the forefoot for an outstanding one-two punch of comfort for your feet. Check out these new detailed images of the Nike LeBron 8 PS and stick with Sneaker News for more updates on LeBron James’ third signature shoe of the season. via MarqueeSole.

While many brands’ spring offerings are targeted toward the warmer weather, Nike SB is a bit more realistic in their offerings for Q1, sticking with deep, rich colorways appropriate for the peak of winter. One such look is the new Nike SB Zoom Bruin pictured above. Had these joints dropped around Thanksgiving or Christmas, we might have been tempted to call ‘em ‘Cranberry’, but even if there’s no direct tie in to Valentine’s Day, the Team Red canvas upper paired with a gum rubber bottom is indeed a piece of candy. Click through to see more of the latest Zoom Bruin SB and grab yours today from Paul Rodriguez’ Encino, CA store, Primitive.

Since LeBron’s decision to move to South Beach, the nickname ‘King James’ has disappeared and LeBron’s marketable persona took a swift turn into another direction. But based on the structure, materials, and design of LeBron 8 V2, there’s no doubt that LeBron James is the king of basketball kicks, because the V2 is the most advanced basketball shoe with the latest materials from the Nike Basketball headquarters at this point. With sneaker prices rising over the last few years, the LeBron 8 V2 might be the shoe that’s most worth your dollars and cents because it’s shoe that’s built from the ground up. The ‘Cool Grey’ colorway of the LeBron 8 V2 features minute hints of neon green on the lion’s eyes on the tongue and bottom sole, the ‘LeBron’ branding in the lace-tips, and the figure-8 multi-directional heel flex unit. These babies are starting to hit retailers like Extra Butter so head there to pick up your pair or catch one on eBay.

Spring-oriented colorways start hitting retailers as soon as the calendar flips, so we’ve seen our fair share of bright looks in this young year but here’s one that’s firmly pointed toward the ‘real’ spring. This Nike WMNS Air Max 1 has an undeniably Easter-y look to it, thanks to a colorway that could have just as easily come out of a box of Paas. The palette is pretty similar to 2006′s Air 180 ‘Easter Egg’, but you’ll note the use of grey to soften these bright colors as a sign of the times. Click through to get a better look and decide if they’re worth the effort, but no need to hunt, as they’re available now at Nike Sportswear dealers like Stickabush.

While the Air Jordan name may be synonymous with the pinnacle of footwear performance and style, each time the JB design team sits down to create the next year’s signature model, they are faced with the nearly impossible task of living up to the heralded Air Jordan legacy. People seem to expect each year’s new Air Jordan to conjure up the same warm feelings embodied by the classics, leaving many with almost unmeetable expectations for the new versions to come. For the Air Jordan 2011, it appears that the designers may have hit their mark, providing a new Air Jordan shoe that even the more hard-to-please sneakerheads will have to admit is, at the very least, a promising step back in the right direction.
We had the chance to sit down with Air Jordan 2011 co-designer Tom Luedecke to get a behind the scenes account of the meticulous design process of the shoe. In addition to an in-depth rundown of the 2011′s style and tech features, Tom also gives some interesting insight into the initial conception of a new Air Jordan signature model, MJ and D-Wade’s involvement in the design and the introduction of the new swappable insole technology. Keep reading for the full interview along with some new pics of samples, sketches and individual shoe components used throughout the various design stages of the Air Jordan 2011.

The LeBron P.S. debuted last year with LeBron James’ seventh signature shoe, a Zoom Air-cushioned version of the Air Max LeBron VII. It gave the opportunity for LeBrons fans to enjoy a second pair of kicks for the year while allowing the creative minds at Nike Basketball to play around with some new designs and ideas. Nike Basketball switched it up this season by releasing the LeBron 8 V2, a lighter version of the LeBron 8 V1 that, while utilizing Max Air, featured a lightweight and breathable Flywire Shell upper. The Miami Heat are certainly Postseason bound so how did Jason Petrie come up with an even lighter and equally explosive package?
Here’s a preview look at the next LeBron 8 signature shoe, which could be either the P.S. version of the V3; in these teasers, you can see that Fuse material is used on the upper while the cushioning is comprised of an impressive combination of Max Air and Zoom. The outsole traction also receives a considerable makeover adopting a shapely construction, alluding to a heel-Max Air and forefoot-Zoom Air cushion set-up. Check out the extra shot below and stick with Sneaker News for more information regarding this upcoming LeBron (P.S.? V3? Soldier?) shoe. via MarqueeSole.

We’ve seen a few previews of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI Rice High School PE recently, but what about Bryant’s own HS alma mater? Fresh off having their home gym named after their most famous alumni, Kobe’s bringing more presents in the form of this sick new ZK6. These are a definite departure from previous Lower Merion Aces colorways, this one utilizing red accents on a bluish-grey base whereas most of the others had been more of a gunmetal shade (when not a simple home white). So with this colorway a bit of an artistic interpretation on the school colors, it begs the question: will a new wave of fashion-oriented ‘team’ colorways become the new hot trend? You can count on Sneaker News to keep you up to date and click through to see more of the Lower Marion Zoom Kobe 6. Thanks brunzie!

It’s only mid-season, but it looks like the Playoffs have reached the Charlotte Bobcats already. Or, just Gerald Wallace to be specific. Last night, Jordan Brand athlete Gerald Wallace wore the Air Jordan XIII ‘Playoffs’ during the Bobcats’ game against the Phoenix Suns. The Playoffs XIII isn’t set for a release until the last weekend of February (the 26th to be exact), but G-Dubb broke them out a month early after wearing the Air Jordan XIII ‘Flint’ for a prolonged stretch of games. The ‘Playoffs’ will be the final release of the current wave of the Air Jordan XIII Retro releases and Jordan Brand certainly saved the best for last, didn’t they? Check out Gerald Wallace and the Air Jordan XIII Playoffs after the jump and let us know what you think. via ESPN.
