Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘China’ – Packaging

There’s a whole pack of LA-themed Nike Zoom Kobe VIs on the way, and while the west coast megalopolis is certainly deserving, what about the world’s most populous nation?  Last year saw a pretty obvious colorway for the ZK5 but the China edition Zoom Kobe VI takes a subtler approach.  Instead of just using the PRC’s flag as a palette, these joints go for a lovely mix of grey and white with purple accents and just a hint of red.  It’s a theme inspired by traditional Chinese pottery, and they should be considerably easier to wear than the ceramic Zoom Kobe IVs taking after a similar muse.  The slideout box is pretty impressive too, another example of how Nike is pushing the bar on boxes to the point where you’ll probably want to keep them on display with the shoes.  Click through to get a better look and let us know how this deluxe packaging compares to other special releases like, say, the LeBron V/2 ‘Christmas’.  via T.sina

Converse Skateboarding KA ONE – Fall 2011

Kenny Anderson was one of the original Converse Skateboarding team members, joining all the way back in 1997.  It’s crazy to think One Star’s skate division pre-dated Nike SB, but when you consider how long the parent brand has been pumping out quality kicks, you might have to reconsider.  And with that extensive legacy, the CONS KA-One has quite a lot to live up to.  These lowtops seem to borrow heavily from the Nike SB Zoom Bruin, from the general shape all the way down to that distinctive tongue stitch.  The first two colorways in tonal grey or black/white are timeless and just as easily could have released during KA’s first stint with CONS, but we’re glad they’ll be available soon as part of the fall 2011 collection. via HS.

Nike Air Max 24/7 Black Metallic Gold White | Available

Sneaker News first previewed this golden Air Max 24/7 in September and November of last year, and how fitting for it to release just in time for Black History Month? Although this new colorway of the widely successful and popular Air Max 24/7 (one of Sneaker News’ Top 30 of 2010) has no immediate connection with the month-long remembrance, the colorway is similar to the Nike/Jordan/Converse Black History Month colorway of Black/Gold that Sneaker News showed you earlier this year. Featuring a metallic gold upper with a black trime and translucent ‘smoke’ outsole, this all-new Air Max 24/7 colorway is a clear winner. Check out these new images below and check for these at your Nike Sportswear spot soon because Kickscrew just made them available for purchase.

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals JS Wings – Glow in the Dark | Available

You think Jeremy Scott has ever thought to himself “Whoa, I need to tone things down.” Probably not. In fact, the exact opposite is usually what goes on in his mind, which is why he chose to give the cult hit JS Wings a Glow in the Dark treatment. During the day, this pair of Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals JS Wings features a pure white angelic aura, but once you switch off the lights, these JS Wings light up with the Glow in the Dark treatment. There’s also a matching Glow in the Dark JS Wings vest you can wear with these (that might be taking it a bit too far). RiceandBeans in France just got these in so if you’ve been keeping your eye on these since we last previewed them, check your Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals retailer soon.

Air Jordan XIII GS – White – Stealth – Spark | Available Early

Jordan Brand has made a concerted effort to transform the young ladies into Jordan fanatics by releasing a Girls-only set of kicks with infusions of pink, the quintessential ‘girly’ color. One of those releases is this Air Jordan XIII colorway, which combines White, Stealth, and Spark. In late 2010, another Girls-only releases in Black, White, and Voltage Cherry dropped, so these are the perfect opposite judging by the white base. Of course true Jordan fanatics need to have multiple colorways of one shoe, so if you’re tiny-footed and already copped the Flints, Voltage Cherrys, Altitudes, and even the ‘Bulls’, this February 5th will be yet another opportunity to add a pair of XIIIs to your stash. Check out these images after the jump and pick up a pair right now from Millenium Shoes or eBay.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI East LA Hitting Retail

The Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘LA Pack’ is a special collection of Kobe VI colorways representing some of the more recognizable LA territories. The first of such exciting colorways we saw was this all-blue Kobe VI that featured a Los Angeles-specific scenic background on the upper. These were at first thought to be the All-Star colorway of the Kobe VI, but that was nothing more than conjecture because not much was known about the ‘LA Pack’ at the time. Tomorrow, the ‘East LA’ Kobe VI will be hitting retailers such as Eastbay in limited quantities so don’t miss out. If you want to guarantee yourself a pair of this limited Kobe VI release, grab one now on eBay.

Nike LeBron 8 P.S.

Leather to Flywire accounted for the first phase of the weight reduction of the Nike LeBron 8, so what’s in store for phase 2? Earlier today Sneaker News gave you a teaser preview of the third Nike LeBron 8 shoe of 2011 – the Nike LeBron 8 PS. To further reduce the weight of the shoe, Fuse material has been used on the upper, creating an immensely lightweight package for LeBron James to wear during the 2011 NBA Postseason. In addition to the use of Fuse is the combination of the Max Air on the heel and Zoom Air on the forefoot for an outstanding one-two punch of comfort for your feet. Check out these new detailed images of the Nike LeBron 8 PS and stick with Sneaker News for more updates on LeBron James’ third signature shoe of the season. via MarqueeSole.

Nike SB Zoom Bruin – Team Red – Flat Opal | Available

While many brands’ spring offerings are targeted toward the warmer weather, Nike SB is a bit more realistic in their offerings for Q1, sticking with deep, rich colorways appropriate for the peak of winter.  One such look is the new Nike SB Zoom Bruin pictured above.  Had these joints dropped around Thanksgiving or Christmas, we might have been tempted to call ‘em ‘Cranberry’, but even if there’s no direct tie in to Valentine’s Day, the Team Red canvas upper paired with a gum rubber bottom is indeed a piece of candy.  Click through to see more of the latest Zoom Bruin SB and grab yours today from Paul Rodriguez’ Encino, CA store, Primitive.

Nike LeBron 8 V/2 ‘Cool Grey’ – Available

Since LeBron’s decision to move to South Beach, the nickname ‘King James’ has disappeared and LeBron’s marketable persona took a swift turn into another direction. But based on the structure, materials, and design of LeBron 8 V2, there’s no doubt that LeBron James is the king of basketball kicks, because the V2 is the most advanced basketball shoe with the latest materials from the Nike Basketball headquarters at this point. With sneaker prices rising over the last few years, the LeBron 8 V2 might be the shoe that’s most worth your dollars and cents because it’s shoe that’s built from the ground up. The ‘Cool Grey’ colorway of the LeBron 8 V2 features minute hints of neon green on the lion’s eyes on the tongue and bottom sole, the ‘LeBron’ branding in the lace-tips, and the figure-8 multi-directional heel flex unit. These babies are starting to hit retailers like Extra Butter so head there to pick up your pair or catch one on eBay.
