Air Jordan V Joe Johnson Atlanta Hawks Home PE

You might be wondering how this colorway is a Player Exclusive for the Hawks given their current red, white, navy blue jersey, but these date back to 2006/2007 when the Air Jordan V was subject to a mass Retro-release. That coincides with Atlanta’s uniforms at the time, which featured red, yellow, black, and white – an updated version of the older style worn by Dominique Wilkins. The ’06-’07 season was just the second for Johnson, and it also happened to be his first season averaging more than 20 points a game and being an NBA All-Star. Jordan Brand certainly struck the iron while it was hot, and they did so by outfitting Johnson in this Air Jordan V PE. This particular size 16 pair has never been worn, and you can quickly determine that these were in fact made for the former Arkansas University standout based on the ’2′ stitched on the heels. This PE colorway is somewhat similar to the WMNS release of the Air Jordan V often referred to as the ‘Sunset’ colorway for the use of Sunset yellow on the midsole. Additional images await you below, but if you want to take it a step further and check out what the asking price is, take a look at the auction from bugginoutboy on eBay.

Celebrity Feet: Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Spike Lee, & More Miami Heat vs New York Knicks Game

The stars were out to see one of the biggest regular season NBA games thanks to the trade deadline shake-up that moved nearly 10% of the league’s players, including the most notable of all, Carmelo Anthony. Melo recently made the move from the Denver Nuggets to the New York Knicks, a move, according to LeBron James,’ that resulted in a “shift of power” from the West to the East. The new look New York Knicks took their talents to South Beach to reignite the rivalry between the two Eastern Conference foes, and with a strong fourth quarter finish, they ended up taking home the W. A number of celebrities were on hand to witness the win for the Knicks, including their number one fan, Spike Lee, who showed up wearing his throwback Knicks’ uniform with a pair of new Nike Zoom Kobe VI iD’s in Knicks’ colors. Lil Wayne was spotted courtside wearing a pair of Nike Air  DT Max 96′s and his YMCMB DJ, DJ Khaled, was seen courtside next to Baby wearing a pair of the upcoming Nike LeBron 8 ‘Entourage’. Nike Air Max JR – Dark Grey – White – Total Orange | September 2011

Last week Sneaker News gave you a look at two upcoming Summer 2011 colorways of the Nike Air Max JR, the ‘hybrid’ shoe combining the Air Griffey Max 1 with technology at Nike’s forefront. Following those two releases is this Dark Grey/White-Total Orange colorway in September 2011. It features a tonal dark grey upper with total orange on the Max Air and inner sockliner and white on the swoosh on the toe. As expected, this hybrid (and most others) have received mixed reviews, although there are more supporters than detractors. There’s no doubt that the comfort level of the shoe will be top-notch – it’s just a matter of warming up to the old-meets-new design. Detailed images await you below so take a look and let us know what you think of this new Air Max JR colorway.

The basement space, previously known as Rough Trade was once an event-space for in-store gigs for a number of heavy-hitters in the music – most notably the Beastie Boys – and a unique clientele that once included Kurt Cobain, and today, ‘ONE’ now offers the same taste-making vibe for those who keep their ears to the ground. Check out the event space as well as a quick grand opening recap featuring team riders Chad Muska, Stevie Williams, and Ali Boulala and let us know what you think of the set-up!

Nike Air Trainer III White Cool Grey Deep Royal Black

The Nike Air Trainer III was one of the many inclusions in 2010′s Nike Air Attack Pack, which featured Air-cushioned Nike classics redone in five unique tonal-themed colorways. The color-blocking may have been a bit unfitting for the Air Trainer III because it didn’t take advantage of the tech-y multi-layered look, so we’re glad this new release of the Air Trainer III goes back to the way things once were. Check out this White, Cool Grey, Deep Royal, and Black rendition of the Nike Air Trainer III; it features a basic white and cool grey upper with a black forefoot strap and outrigger with a deep royal heel. An interesting note about this release is the tongue tag, which is actually from the Air Attack Pack, so these images are either of a preliminary sample of even a sign of things to come for 2011 (another Air Attack?). More detailed shots are below, so take a look, and hit up TGWO for yours.
