A bit peculiar that a Nike SB Dunk High Premium based on the Statue of Liberty would release in February, no? After all, the tablet depicted in the right arm of Liberty Enlightening the World is inscribed with July 4th, 1776 and the statue was built in October 1886. But maybe it’s a meta-statement on the immense freedom we have these days, that Nike SB would drop this shoe whenever they felt like it. Whatever the reasoning for the release date, we’re glad they’re a February 2011 Quickstrike cos we’ve got five months of good wear to get in on these before Independence Day. Click through to get a better look at this Seagrass green leather SB Dunk and look for them right now at select Nike SB retailers like Green Hill Skateshop.

February 15th, 2011 at 7:00 pm
What other color would Nike have given these pair? It's clearly a conceptual sneaker, inspired by the Statue of Liberty, hence the nickname "Statue of Liberty". Your reason on why these are gay is GAY.

It's under the green. Wear and tear or sand paper will reveal the bronze/copper underneath.

February 15th, 2011 at 10:28 pm
gotta have em
February 16th, 2011 at 12:24 am
It was close to this color when it was brand new, but over 100 years of wear and tear obviously changed it. This shoe has that same concept that as you wear it, it starts to reveal some bronze underneath. Understand?
February 16th, 2011 at 7:28 am
The French actually gave it to us as Copper cause it is. But the water from so many years changed it to the dull green you see now.
February 16th, 2011 at 8:24 am
wow that green is waaaay off. statue of liberty has more of a grey/green (as you can see by the soles) i thought they were more precise with the colors but i guess not….not too crazy bout these anymore.
February 16th, 2011 at 12:42 pm
