With the 2011 NBA All-Star Game arriving this Sunday, let’s take a look at what all the All-Star Nike athletes will wear for the game. Starting on the Eastern Conference starters, LeBron James will wear his Nike LeBron 8 V2 and Amare Stoudemire will shed his Zoom Huarache TR Mid for the Nike Air Max 360 BB Low ‘East’. Reserves Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, and Chris Bosh will also wear the Nike Air Max 360 BB Low ‘East’. Moving to the Western Conference starters, Kobe Bryant will wear his Nike Zoom Kobe VI and Kevin Durant will wear the Nike Zoom KD III. The rest of the Western Conference roster – Pau Gasol, Blake Griffin, Deron Williams, Russell Westbrook, and Dirk Nowitzki – will wear the Nike Air Max 360 BB Low ‘West’.
This will be an interesting transition for many players who have worn shoes that offer different advantages, like the lightweight Nike Hyperfuse, the high-cut ankle of the Nike Air Max Hyperdunk 2010, or the responsive nature of the Zoom Hyperfuse Low. Check out the entire Nike Basketball 2011 NBA All-Star Roster after the jump and let us know which team will win the 2011 NBA All-Star Game, and pick up one of the Nike Basketball 2011 NBA All-Star releases tomorrow at House of Hoops or on eBay.

The latest Nike Air Force 1 Low GS is another case where the Grade School distinction could just as easily stand for ‘girls’. And with a white base giving way to Gym Pink and Green Apple accents, their closest connection to academia is the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. Seems fitting when you consider that just like pledging for a Greek social organization, copping a pair of Air Force 1 is one of the ways you can connect yourself with a rich legacy of success. adidas Originals has shown us everything from classic heritage models to brand new bolder-than-ever looks and this latest pack is somewhere in the middle. Two new adidas Originals Forum Los will hit retail shortly with one of the most visually demanding patterns in recent memory covering the uppers of both pairs. The zigging and zagging polygonal pattern has a vaguely Santa Fe feel to it but the white/red/black and black/white colorways are far from the traditional southwest fare. Click through to get a better look and expect these at US stores soon; they just hit Step Japan.

Just last week, Sneaker News showed you the Nike WMNS Air Royalty VT in a cool new Satin Pack that showed us Vac Tech molding isn’t just for leathers. It seems, too, that the Satin Pack isn’t just for the Sport Red and Concord pairs that had been previewed as far back as last October, and here’s another pair that by its similarity to those drops appears imminent. These new Lemon Frost Royaltys are fresh for spring with white accents everywhere yellow ain’t, though we can’t help but wonder why there’s no green colorway. The sneaker equivalent of a kid’s lemonade stand, you can see more of this upcoming Air Royalty Mid after the jump. via Dunk

The V.5 Grown represents a transition for Jordan Brand’s lifestyle series down to ankle height, and despite the quirky naming convention, there’s no discounting how much the above pictured model influenced its design. The Jordan V.2 Grown picked up where the Campus Chukka left off and added a Chelsea boot-style gusset on the side. This gives you both ease of entry and classic style, the latter of which is given a nice twist with the unique Matte Silver and Chlorine Blue look. Click through to see more of this new V5 Grown and let us know how these compare to other Grown colorways. via Dunk

An era dominated by bulging behemoths in the paint was slowly being taken over by high-flyers – the likes of Michael Jordan, Ron Harper, and other anti-Barkleys and Moses Malones. The Nike Air Flight of 1989 was part of the original Flight Series, which emphasized aerial attacks and the ability to “kiss the sky” while using the “zero gravity” advantages. Jordan was the original ‘Flight’ school attendee until he was branched off and given his own classroom, so it was up to the rest of the league’s quickest to take Flight to another level. Nike Flight is truly one of the more important historical eras, and it was all started with Nike Air Flight – a shoe you almost never see in perfect condition (except for the sick White/Grape Ice-Hot Lime pair you see before your very eyes). The Air Flight is the craftsman that laid the strong foundation for countless other classics, so take a quick look at deadstock pair below and do your best to cop this vintage Nike item from jasonwhite9 on eBay.

Jordan Brand launched its “WINGS for the Future” program with the goal of motivation and inspiration of today’s youth using education, sport, and creativity – with Inglewood High School as its first partnering school. As part of the WINGS program, Jordan Brand employees will conduct weekly workshops and participate in activities involving graphic designs, essay writing, and career planning while providing a complete refurbishment of the school basketball court and classrooms. To commemorate this honorable partnership, Jordan Brand has collaborated with well-known artist and sneakerhead Dave White of the UK, who is best recognized for his amazing canvas paintings of classic sneakers. This time around, he gets to work with the original Air Jordan shoe that is the foundation of Jordan Brand – the Air Jordan 1.
The Dave White x Air Jordan 1 Retro features White’s sublime graphic touch on the upper, using red brush strokes and copious floods of metallic gold in White’s personal style of layers and splatters. Premium canvas, call-out to White’s ‘canvas’ of choice’ can be found on the tongue tag, with a pristine lasered inner lining. Environmentally Preferred Mesh is also utilized on interior walls of the shoe. White furthers his reach beyond the shoe with a special Air Jordan ‘Wings’ logo on the box painted in his trademark motif as well. The Air Jordan 1 is a perfect way to launch the Jordan Brand WINGS for the Future, and no other than Dave White can exemplify the creativity and artistic talent that the WINGS for the Future program aims to promote. Continue reading for a detailed look at the Dave White x Air Jordan 1 Retro and let us know what you think.

In Week 1 of our NCAA Feet: Toe to Toe feature, the Arizona Wildcats easily handled the Syracuse Orange in a overwhelming vote. For Week 2, the Huskies of Washington laid the smackdown on the Huskies of UConn, handing the Big East its second straight loss. Does St. John’s have what it takes to give their Conference brethren a win? For the third week of NCAA Feet: Toe to Toe, Sneaker News has selected the St. John’s Red Storm of the Big East and the Mountain West Conference’s San Diego State University Aztecs. Both squads have been making noise with their on-court play as well as their sneaker selections, as the SDSU Aztecs are currently 25-1 overall while the Red Storm have earned respect by defeating four ranked teams this year. Both teams also happen to have red, white, and black uniforms, which go together with Jordans like peas and carrots. Check out what San Diego State and St. John’s have been rocking all year and be sure to vote for that squad that should take this week’s NCAA Feet: Toe to Toe crown. Also, let us know what other NCAA schools you’d like to see featured in the final NCAA Feet: Toe to Toe feature next week!

The Air Jordan 2011 ‘Year of the Rabbit’ received a warm welcome and sold-out release in its initial drop in China. It certainly makes a strong case for making this year’s Sneaker News Top 30, and that’s largely in part due to the great colorway and details of this Air Jordan 2011 variety. Here’s a closer look at the fine details of the Air Jordan 2011; first, we have an up-close look at the warrior-inspired mudguard, which features an animalistic yet refined imposed graphic by way of pressed/molded leather. Another great detail is the lightweight mesh window, located at the ankle of the upper; during our interview Tom Luedecke, co-designer of the Air Jordan 2011, it was revealed that the mesh ankle window serves a technical purpose as well as an aesthetic detail. Finally, we have a close-up look at the Jumpman logo on the bottom sole, which also allows us a look at the gold speckles embedded into the translucent outsole. All these details can be seen below, so take a look at this year’s China-inspired Jordans courtesy of US10, and if you’ve been wanted to add these to your collection, you can expect these to hit select Jordan Brand retailers in the U.S. on February 19th, or you can pick up a pair now on eBay.

Both Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul made some minor headlines during the offseason after their pal LeBron James made one of the biggest free-agent decisions in NBA history. Things have quieted down a bit for both CP3 and Melo, with the latter star stating that he might even consider re-signing with his current team in Denver. It still remains to be seen where Melo will end up in late 2011 or where CP3 will go in late 2012, but you can expect both of them at Los Angeles this weekend as they will be starting for the Western Conference All-Stars while wearing All-Star colorways of their respective signature shoes from Jordan Brand. Both pairs are releasing tonight at midnight so take another look at the All-Star colorways of the Jordan Melo M7 and the Jordan CP3.IV after the jump and don’t miss out on these sweet West-inspired releases.

Very few actors in the history of motion picture have been nominated for more than one Academy Award in one year. Kobe Bryant has a great opportunity to grab that honor in December, when Sneaker News will unveil its Top 30 Sneakers of 2011. The Nike Zoom Kobe VI is already a lock, and the Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Pack is certainly a worthy nominee; the Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite features a regal varsity purple colorway with the matte Foamposite finish, the the Air Force 1 Low features a VT leather upper that possesses the unique one-piece, no-seam construction. Both shoes feature Kobe’s signature Shozoku logo on the tongue as well. Is the Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Pack good enough for a Top 30 of the year, or is too early to tell? Both pairs will release midnight tonight at select Nike Sportswear retailers so don’t miss out on this great Air Force 1 release.
