Nike LeBron 8 P.S. Varsity Royal Black

LeBron has been billed as ‘King James’ as long as we can remember, so it’s fitting that this year’s playoff sneaker has been most widely previewed in royal blue.  An ‘off’ colorway to display James’ second alternate shoe this year, the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. sees its royal/black colorway a fitting contrast to the unbeatable combination of Max Air in the heel with a Zoom Air forefoot cushion.  Add in the one-piece breathable and super-lightweight Hyperfuse upper and these joints will be tough to contend with come late April and you gotta believe we’ll see plenty of Heat (-oriented colorways).  Click through for a closer look at the Varsity Royal LeBron 8 PostSeason and stick with Sneaker News for the release date.  via rstor

Nike Air Max Fly By Russell Westbrook Home PE

What a year it’s been for Russell Westbrook! Mr. Why Not got his first NBA All-Star Game selection and also participated in the Skills Challenge, displaying his all around game and adroit handling of the basketball. Sneaker News gave you a first exclusive look at the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse ‘Why Not’ PE, which shed light on Westbrook’s curious PE logo. Here, the ‘Why Not’ returns on the strap of this tonal yellow Nike Air Max Fly By PE, which features a photo blue trim on the swoosh, PE logo, inner lining, and Max Air unit. Amidst all the heat that was worn during Christmas Day Weekend, you might not have caught these on Westbrook’s feet during the Thunder’s Christmas Day match-up against the Nuggets. Check out the additional shots of Westbrook’s Air Max Fly By PE after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more Nike Basketball updates on what your favorite NBA player might be wearing in games!

Nike Hyperdunk 2010 McFly

The clock is ticking slowly to 2015 and unfortunately for us, DMC DeLorean time machines don’t exist just yet (c’mon, it’s 2011 already!). We came close (to the McFly, not the time machine) in 2008 with the Nike Hyperdunk McFly, done up in grey and light blue tones that paired well with the Hyperdunk’s futuristic appeal, and in 2011, another helping of the McFly could be on the way. Check out the Nike Hyperdunk 2010 McFly; it features a nearly identical motif to its predecessor, using a grey upper with blue speckling and accents, and adds an extra-special touch with the pink-white gradient inner lining. Additional features include the ‘OUTATIME’ patch on the lace, the flux capacitor logo on the tongue, and a unique outsole done in 80′s styling while featuring today’s biggest basketball stars. Parts of the upper are finished with glow-in-the-dark treatment with a translucent outsole adding the extra-futuristic touch. Continue reading for a gallery of images via SoleCollector and let us know which Hyperdunk McFly – 2008 or 2010 – you like better.

Air Jordan VII Retro ‘Bordeaux’ @ Osneaker

This is no April Fools joke: the Air Jordan VII Bordeaux will re-release this April. After nearly twenty years of dormancy, the original Air Jordan VII ‘All-Star’ will finally hit stores, much to the satisfaction of the older Jordan fans and younger ‘newbies’. Despite what generation you’re from or whether or not you’ve seen Michael play is irrelevant, because the Bordeaux VII is simply a must-have. Such a wild and feisty combination of colors could only be pulled off by the equally ferocious Air Jordan VII, and the equally rabid response to these is truly no surprise at all. If you don’t feel like waiting all those weeks, grab yours early from Osneaker or scoop one up now on eBay.

Air Jordan IX Birthday Cake

Attention to detail is what separates good from great, but this latest Sneaker cake goes beyond the graspable stratosphere of skill. Check out this Air Jordan IX Birthday Cake made by madefreshdailycakes for lucky sneakerhead, Javetz, for his sixteenth birthday. Using the Air Jordan IX as the model, this Howard Roark of sneaker cakes managed to capture every single minute detail, from the stitch patterns and the perforations on the upper to the original Foot Locker receipt! The edible laces themselves go through edible speedlace eyelets, and a quick look at the outsole reveals that the incredible hands behind this cake got every single nook and cranny of the Air Jordan IX outsole – one of the more intricate outsole traction designs of the entire Air Jordan legacy. The cake is completely edible, but would you even want to make a dent in this beauty? Check out the detailed images below and let us know where this ranks among the best sneaker cakes you’ve ever seen.

Nike Air Max Lunar – Black – Wolf Grey – Navy

Nike Lunar and Nike Air Max is like a match made in runners heaven. Combining the two revolutionary cushioning systems into one unparalleled footbed of comfort was certainly a nice move for Nike, as shoes like the Nike LunarMax+ has received rave reviews from performance runners and casual wearers alike. Here’s something more for the latter category – the Nike Air Max Lunar featuring a Lunar-cushioned front-end and a Max Air unit on the heel, using a early-mid 90′s styling on the upper. This all new design falls in line alongside the Air Max Commands and Air Max Skylines, but these appropriately stand out due to the Lunar-embedded midsole. Check out the extra images below and hit up UK’s JDSports to pick up a pair.

Nike 6.0 WMNS Dunk Low – Green – Grey – Fleece

Even if Nike 6.0′s mission isn’t to surpass its big brother SB, there’s no questioning their edge on WMNS footwear.  This is due to the facts that both Nike SB doesn’t make WMNS releases and that 6.0′s WMNS kicks are among the best ladies sneakers from any Swoosh subdivision.  Here’s another Nike 6.0 Dunk Low for women that’ll have anyone who can’t fit into them slightly peeved, a sick mix of green and grey heathered fleeces that’s every bit as inviting as your favorite suede pairs.  Click through to get a better look and grab yours from select Nike Six spots like BX Sports.

adidas Originals ZX 500 – Grey – Yellow – Blue | March 2011

Sneaker News just showed you a new ZX 8000 in a Hornets-style colorway, so what’s in store for the rest of adidas classic flagship running series?  Check out this new adidas Originals ZX 500, a tonal grey design whose bright yellow and blue accents suggest it’s aligned with a similar palette, though these are probably a better match for the current ballers in Oklahoma City than its temporary team.  And analogies aside, this trio plus white makes for a super-versatile look that would compliment basically any well thought-out combination of clothes you choose.  Click through to see more angles and pre-order yours today from CrookedTongues.

Billionaire Boys Club Nothing – Spring 2011 Colorways

Creative jack of all trades Pharrell Williams has been seen most recently on Sneaker News rocking the Nike LeBron 8 ”South Beach’ at a couple of recent N.E.R.D. concerts, but don’t forget that the man also has his own line of sneakers.  Here’s a new duo of Billionaire Boys Club Nothings colorways, two clean canvas looks every bit as simply designed as their name suggests.  Both of these BBCs feature tonal laces and leather heel tabs plus a gum sole, and you can click through to get a better look at the teal and grey pairs, then grab yours from Caliroots.

adidas Originals has modified the Forum with all manner of alterations, ranging from studded to all-over Dellinger webbing and even a couple with cellphone pouches.  Here’s the most practical variation yet, the adidas Originals Forum Mid Lite.  These joints earn their name with an open weave mesh construction that should be among the spring’s most breathable, which is fitting given their exuberant colorway.  Sure to be a big hit in Westwood, this UCLA-style Forum Mid Lite is available for pre-order with a March 2011 ship date from CrookedTongues.
