Supra Skytop – Black – White – Orange

Supra commonly releases sneakers to commemorate the big holidays, and while this one is more of a general release, the latest Chad Muska Pro Model could certainly pass as a Halloween theme.  These Supra Skytops are crafted entirely in black nubuck, but held together with orange contrast stitching they’re a few carefully placed ollie scuffs from being a jack-o-lantern.  A great way to add just a tiny pop to your blacked out ‘fits, these joints just popped up at select Supra retailers including Premier.

Kazuki x adidas Originals New Releases @ Extra Butter

What makes the adidas Originals by Originals capsule so great? It combines timeless design with unique vision, as select designers are chosen to give their take on some of the most classic adidas footwear designs ever, and these latest releases exemplify that notion. Check out these two new Kazuki x adidas Originals by Originals releases; the adidas Originals Plants features a slick low-profile silhouette with a neat ‘flower-ized’ adidas trefoil logo on the tongue and heel, and the Stan Smith, in a partnership with Jam Home Made, features a feral touch in the glossy leopard print on the heeltab. Extra Butter has both of these new drops in stock so give them a ring if these are up your alley.

Nike ACG Lunar Macleay Bright Cactus + Ink | Available @ Nikestore

After a late-season push, the Nike ACG Lunar Macleay wound up being one of Sneaker News’ Top 30 Sneakers of 2010. What’s not to love about the Macleay? It features impressive materials, sleek color-blocking, a mega-comfy Lunar cushioned midsole, and one of the sweetest designs to ever come out of the All Conditions Gear wing over at Beaverton. The Bright Cactus and Ink colorways were one of the first few that we saw of the Macleay, but to our chagrin, they were given the dreaded ‘TZ’ designation (or Tier 0, which means you can find these only at the most select Nike Sportswear accounts). If you were one of the many that missed out on these beauties, things are on the up-and-up because both colorways are now available at Nikestore. Continue reading if you need a refresher on these Holiday 2010 joints and don’t sleep on these releases!

NBA Feet: Gilbert Arenas Air Jordan VI 2008 Olympic

The self-proclaimed Sneaker Champ Gilbert Arenas has done quite a nice job matching his kicks with his new white/blue/black Orlando uniform, but yesterday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he decided to rock all the colorways of the rainbow. Gilbert’s latest sneaker sighting involved the Air Jordan VI Retro ‘Olympic’ of 2008, which features a white patent-leather upper with a multi-colored midsole inspired by the Olympic rings logo. These released during the time of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, when Team USA recaptured the Gold medal after only managing a Bronze medal in 2004. Check out Gilbert and his Olympic-inspired Jordans after the jump and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more NBA Feet coverage for the rest of the season! via ESPN.

Sneaker News Weekly Rewind: 2/19 2/25

The week started off with the *BANG*, as the biggest stars in basketball gathered in Los Angeles for the 2011 NBA All-Star Game. Sneaker News provided you on-the-clock coverage of all of the events, providing great recaps of the best kicks seen during the weekend-long events. Once All-Star Weekend was over, it was back to business, and Sneaker News continued forward with the best sneaker-related news information on the planet. The Jumpman was again in the spotlight as we got a look at a Carbon Fiber Air Jordan XI and a Black/Gold Air Jordan V made for a wedding. The other ‘man’ was ‘Dunkman’, as we got a first look at the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. ‘Dunkman’. Stealing some of the spotlight was the Nike Zoom Kobe VI, which dropped three new colorways this week. Blake Griffin, whose stock has been rising steadily throughout the course of the season, debuted the Hyperdunk 2011 during the All-Star Game, but we also got a look at two sick Air Max Fly By PEs made for the Clippers rising star. Carmelo Anthony made headlines as he was traded to the New York Knicks, which coincidentally fell right before we showed you a possible Jordan Melo M7 Future Sole design.

Outside of basketball was some big news from Nike SB; Sneaker News confirmed another Todd Bratrud designed Nike SB Dunk High, inspired once again by 4/20. The Nike Griffey line is set to broaden this summer, with the release of Air Griffey Max II and the Air Max JR. Nike will also introduce the Nike Hachi, an all-new lifestyle shoe focusing more on cool and casual. Mizzee Customs showed us another one of his great works by combining the Air Jordan VI and the popular Bordeaux colorway from the Air Jordan VII. Kanye West was spotted multiple times this week in our Celebrity Feet features, but the most notable Yeezy news came from a sneak peek at his second shoe with Nike – the Air Yeezy 2. And finally, Sneaker News featured the Air Jordan XIV in our latest Michael Jordan Through The Years feature, focusing on Michael’s short but sweet time with the Air Jordan XIV. There’s a lot more to see so check in with Sneaker News Weekly Rewind to be caught up on the entire world of sneakers.

Packer Shoes x Reebok ‘Nique’ Pump – Autographed Friends & Family Edition Giveaway

Back when the Packer x Reebok ‘Nique’ Pump Omni Zone dropped in December, we caught a glimpse of a member of the Packer Shoes crew wearing a special friends & family edition of the shoe in solid red nubuck. Details on the intriguing red version of the Nique Pump have been kept well under wraps since the black pair released, making it seem pretty certain that this friends & family colorway will never see a retail release. A few fortunate individuals were able to get their hands on a pair, but for most people, the closest you’ll ever get to them is a look at these pics. However, for one lucky Sneaker News reader, that will all change, as a pair of the red friends & fam Packer x Nique Pumps will be up for grabs as our latest sneaker giveaway. And it gets even better, because not only are these kicks super rare, but this particular size 9 pair has been autographed by none other than Dominique Wilkins himself, making these an amazing collector’s piece for any sneakerhead. Continue reading for complete instructions on how to enter the giveaway for your chance to win yourself the autographed F&F Nique Pump.

Air Jordan III – Black History Month | Release Reminder

Sneaker News’ Michael Jordan Through The Years feature has detailed Michael Jordan’s greatest achievements in his career chronicled by each individual Air Jordan shoe. The Air Jordan III was certainly one to remember, as Michael rose to the occasion and finished off one of the most memorable moments in sports history when he jumped from the free-throw line to complete an astounding one-handed dunk during the NBA Dunk Contest. For this Black History Month, Nike has focused on the achievements of Michael Jordan, honoring the Air Jordan III as one of Michael’s most memorable Air Jordans. Tomorrow is the official release date of the Air Jordan III ‘Black History Month’, available at select Jordan Brand retailers like 21 Mercer. Continue reading for another look because you can also grab a pair now on eBay.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI – Black History Month | Release Reminder

One of the three athletes honored by Nike for Black History Month 2011 is Kobe Bryant, who was recognized for his greatness as displayed by his astounding 81-point performance against the Toronto Raptors in 2006. Of course, since that game, Kobe has accomplished a lot more than an 81-point performance, like back-to-back NBA championships in 2009 and 2010 as well as an Olympic Gold Medal in 2008. Arriving at select Nike retailers tomorrow is the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Black History Month’, which features the gorgeous Black/Gold themed colorway and the ‘BHM’ logo on the heel, with special insoles commemorating the month-long tradition. 21 Mercer will have these available tomorrow so be sure to cop these if you can because you can also find them on eBay.

Air Jordan XIII Retro ‘Playoffs’ – Release Reminder

The Air Jordan XIII ‘Playoffs’ was the very last Air Jordan XIII Michael wore in his career. Right before he whipped out the Air Jordan XIV in Black/Varsity Red (which would later be referred to as the ‘Last Shots’), the ‘Playoffs’ made its last appearance in Game 5 during the first half, but Michael switched to the XIV, hoping he would win the Championship at the United Center while wearing an all new pair of kicks. Of course, the rest is history, as documented by Michael Jordan Through The Years: Air Jordan XIV. The ‘Playoffs’ are one of the last few original Air Jordan XIII colorways to have never re-released (the other being the White/Varsity Red-Black ‘Bulls’ colorway that dropped in December), but tomorrow will be your chance to cop these classics as these will officially hit Jordan Brand retailers for good. Still need convincing? We got an army of images for you below, courtesy of Kenlu, so take a quick look and let us know if these are a must-have for you. If you don’t want to leave the comfort of your own home, cop a pair now on eBay.

Air Jordan XI Concord Sneaker Cake Step by Step Process

Due to the booming popularity of ‘sneaker cakes‘ over the last couple of years, the craftsmen behind these edible sneaker pastries have been sharpening their skills. The level of quality is slowly reaching the demand, and Sweet and Saucy of Long Beach, CA, has recently documented the step-by-step process into constructing one of these sweet sneaker treats. Starting off with your basic chocolate cake layered with assorted frostings, the sneaker starts to take shape after it is covered in white fondant. The final result is the Air Jordan XI Concord, complete with upper details like the lace straps, Jordan Jumpman label on the tongue, the traction ridges on the outsole, and the Jumpman on the upper ankle. Check out the entire Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ Sneaker Cake process below and let us know what sneaker would be your cake!
