About two years ago, Sneaker News showed you a Converse Chuck Taylor sample that unfortunately never made it to retail. These joints were done up to look as though you’d cut your lawn in a pair of fresh white All Stars, and while their nixing is lamentable, here’s a new effort from the One Star with a similar ruined-new-shoes feel. The Converse Jack Purcell ‘Chewing Gum’ makes light of one of the worst things you can have happen to a fresh pair of kicks, quite literally underlining their two-toned sole with a text label on the pinky toe area. A solid theme, especially considering the gum rubber bottom in use, these joints will hit Converse Japan retailers next month.
