Over the years, Jordan Brand designer Jason Mayden has cultivated a strong friendship with New Orleans Hornets superstar guard and Jordan Brand athlete Chris Paul. Mayden’s been the designer behind the Jordan CP3 signature line, which features a number of personal details close to Chris Paul’s heart, so Jason definitely knows a thing or two about Chris than the average person does. Before heading to Stanford’s Sloan Masters Program last year, Mayden presented a special gift to Chris Paul – a custom pair of Air Jordan XIs featuring a unique yellow and green graphic representing Paul’s blood, sweat, and tears shed throughout his arduous journey to NBA stardom. The shoes were designed by Atlanta-based artist Mike McCoullagh. Check out the extra images below and let us know what you think. via TSG.
