While Selection Sunday came and went most of us were still left in awe after watching Kemba Walker of the UConn Huskies and his amazing performance at the 2011 Big East Tournament. The Junior Guard, who most will argue deserves Player of the Year Honors, led his team to five amazing wins in the span of five days, beating out opponent after opponent to earn the right to be called 2011 Big East Champion and an automatic birth into the NCAA Tournament as a #3 seed. While Walker and his teammates are getting ready to play in this week’s first round games we’re definitely excited to see what #15 has in store from his sneaker closet after he debuted the Air Jordan 6-17-23 in Black, Concord, Dark Grey, and Orion Blue during the Big East Tournament. Most sneakerheads will be calling Kemba’s 6-17-23 hybrid Jordan colorway the “Aqua’s” after their striking resemblance to the infamous Air Jordan VIII “Aqua” colorway. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as to whatever it is that Kemba is wearing on the court come Thursday, March 17th when UConn plays Bucknell in Washington D.C. as a part of the West Region’s first round games. Check out more images after the jump, and get your own pair of 6-17-23s now on eBay.
