Superstar fashion designer John Varvatos has been collaborating with Converse for years and his latest offerings breathe new air into a model born in 1918 via some ’77-style punk embellishments. Check out the latest run of John Varvatos x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star hightops, two canvas models that add pointy studs to enhance their rugged pre-worn look. A black/grey striped edition goes with conical studding while the black pair comes with a wax coating that makes it look a bit like leather, a fitting match for the heavy metal-leaning pyrimidal studs. Click through to see close-ups of both pairs and let us know which one you plan to cop when they hit select US One Star retailers soon. via ST
