The Nike Air Griffey Max II is certainly one of the headlining Nike Retros of 2011, and with good reason. The alarming success of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 has created a new sub-genre within the Nike Retro wing of Beaverton, OR, with a number of gotta-have-’em colorways like the original Freshwater, upcoming second Freshwater, and eye-catching Volt colorways doing the trick. The Griffey Max II will be just another reason to extend that Griffey collection, and the OG Freshwater will be front and center when these release next month.
