There’s no doubt that the sneaker game varies by region, and while the U.S. can barely get a release or attention of any kind, the Reebok Insta Pump Fury still holds incredible weight overseas. Sneaker News gives you updates on Reebok Insta Pump Fury releases and collaborations, but it’s clear that the energy surrounding the Fury isn’t strong enough to warrant a wide state-side release, although you can customize your own pair on YourReebok and its impressive color palette and materials. Here’s a look at a great collection of the Reebok Insta Pump Fury, owned by Ian6771107 on Kenlu; some of you probably have never seen this many in one fell swoop, but it’s clear that there is a fury for Furys across the ocean, given by this concentrated collection of Reebok’s most innovative running sneaker of the 90′s. Check out extra images below and let us know if you’d like to see more Insta Pump Fury releases in the states!

Sneaker News gave you a preview look at the adidas adiZero Rose 2.0, Derrick Rose’s second signature shoe with adidas Basketball. Here’s an in-depth look at five upcoming colorways as well some new details of this shoe; first off the outsole design features a unique construction in which the flex point is encircled by rings for traction, with a gritty traction design that begins on the lateral side and tails off toward the medial heel. The five colorways are: a tonal black, white/silver with a translucent sole, a black upper with white outsole, a black/red/green version with a wood-grain texture, and a new grey/blue/yellow with a funky texture on the toe-box. The adiZero Rose 2.0 weighs in a 12.4 ounces and is built on SprintFrame technology with ample ventilation on the upper for when Derrick Rose mercilessly posterizes a defender. Check out all five colorways below and let us know which you like best, and stick with Sneaker News for more updates regarding Rose’s budding sig-shoe legacy.

The latest Star Wars x adidas Originals sneaker is a model that offers a statement on the timeless quality of beloved designs. This new adidas Originals Gazelle 2 is done in black suede with rastafied accents, but the real draw here is seeing the bounty hunter Boba Fett rocking a huge ghetto blaster. So this model first sold in 1968 features a character who debuted in 1980s’s The Empire Strikes Back while holding a boombox most prominently seen in the decade following that film’s release. Pretty crazy combination, even for 2011, but the timing is just right and they’re available now from Three Stripes accounts like SNS.

The Converse Jack Purcell is a simple if graceful classic, but this is the first pack to come right out and say as much in their name. These new Jack Purcell Grace Mids are notable for their use of a two-toned sole that extends the Purcell’s signature black-striped toe to the end of that cap, plus an exaggerated foxing band around the entire shoe. These woven cotton Jack Purcells also feature CoolMax material on the insoles to achieve maximum breathability during the warm months and you can see close-ups of purple and black pairs when you click on the jump below. Let us know which one you prefer and look for these at select US One Star retailers soon. via mita sneakers.

It’s been a while since we’ve detailed a new collection of footwear from ALIFE here on Sneaker News, but this spring 2011 collection simply demands attention. Let’s start off with the familiar models including the Dunk-like ALIFE Everybody in Low Suede, Mid Parachute and High ‘Official’ looks covering a variety of muted tones. There are high and low versions of the Chuck Indoor plus an outrageous version of the high Naval variant called ‘Posted’ for obvious reasons. The Northeastern is a new Oxford-style lowtop, the Moc takes the classic boat shoe design down to a zero-eyelet look and perhaps the star of this collection offers a mix of those two’s features, the hand-sewn, Vibram-soled Lincoln moccasin. It’s quite a run and you can see photos of selected colorways of each model when you click on the jump below, then look for these at select ALIFE retailers.

Its tongue pull appropriately styled as a throwback to evoke images of iconic Japanese sneakers, the Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka Free Motion ’3HC Pack’ brings together a number of avant garde design elements into one futuristic package. These joints are crafted in a unique neoprene that features tonal dots that suggest a cutting edge material like the Nike LeBron 8 V2, but these are more of an athletic-inspired lifestyle sneaker than true performance footwear. Then again, with the notoriously comfy asymmetrical lacing system and Free grooved outsoles, you could certainly sprint at top speed if in a pinch, so their neutral colorways combine to make for one of the most versatile sneakers in recent memory. Its tagline ringing true with each new collaboration, Hanon “Keeps on Burning”, this time with a special edition pack of Puma Dallas lowtops. These joints are crafted in a mix of tonal suede and nubuck, their colorways inspired by ’80s sportswear with a shout out to the Scottish homeland via argyle sockliners and matching scarves. The burgundy and barley pairs will release exclusively at Hanon-Shop with only 50 and 100 pairs available, respectively, which seems to suggest the other two will receive a wider release. No matter which colorways you prefer, fans of special packaging might look to grab those two in the wooden, whiskey-style box, but either way, they’ll all hit stores this April and you can see more photos when you click on the link below.

Sneaker News brings you what matters. Since we’re in the March Madness mood, Sneaker News opened up the polls for the 2011 Sneaker News March Madness Tournament, throwing thirty-two OG Air Jordans in the fire in a battle for supremacy. The heat didn’t stop there, as Sneaker News gave you an inside look at the ShoeZeum, undoubtedly the greatest sneaker collection showcase in history. More Jordan news followed, with a look at a GS sample of the Air Jordan III ‘Stealth’ and a viewing othe Air Jordan 2011 Version 2. Carmelo Anthony made some notable news as he was honored in NYC with an oversized billboard, and LeBron got us excited as we brought some hints at the upcoming LeBron 9. There was plenty of NBA and NCAA action during the week, as we showed you what LeBron, Carmelo, and other big-time studs wore on the hardwood.
Outside of basketball, Sneaker News previewed some upcoming Nike SB releases, but the what truly caught our attention were two Nike Basketball retros in the Air Foamposite One in Black/Electric Green and Air Max Penny 1 in Ripstop Nylon. Going back to February, which was Black History Month, Sneaker News gave you a look at a special limited edition Black History Month box. Tomorrow, Sneaker Con NYC will open its doors for the first time in 2011, and you’d better believe it lives up to the hype. Some sad news came our way earlier this week, as the Eastern coast of Japan was ravaged by earthquake and tsunami, so we urge our readers to chip in and lend a hand. And finally, Sneaker News unveiled the seventeenth volume of Michael Jordan Through the Years, focusing on the life and times of Michael Jordan during the Air Jordan XVII. Don’t miss a beat in the world of kicks – Sneaker News Weekly Rewind has you covered.
