Sneaker News March Madness OG Air Jordan Tournament Round 1 Voting Southeast

Here’s a look at the final bracket of Round 1 of the Sneaker News March Madness OG Air Jordan Tournament. Headlined by Number 1 seed Air Jordan IV in the Black/Red colorway, the Southeast Region of the OG Air Jordan Tournament is no slouch when it comes to going head-to-head with any other region. Just how strong is it? The Air Jordan VI ‘Carmine’ is a 3-seed, and that shoe has as much potential to win it all as any other sneaker in the tourney. The polls for the Southeast Region are now open, as are the rest of the regions for Round 1, so make sure you get your votes tallied in time. Remember, it’s you, the reader that selects the winner, so let your voice be heard (you’ve got ’til midnight Sunday)!

Nike Air Foamposite One Metallic Pewter | Release Reminder

It’s hard not to have a pair of Nike Foamposites in your collection. With so many big-time releases to have arrived over the last year, it’d be tough to pass over every single one of them. If you preferred OG colorways like the Pearls or the recently released Royals, or embraced the funky nature of Foamposite and chose the Coppers or Electric Greens, the Nike Air Foamposite is the hot topic shoe at the moment. Tomorrow, the opportunity to stretch your Foam stash will arrive, because the Metallic Pewter/Black colorway of the Nike Air Foamposite One will officially release at Nike retailers. If you’re not yet convinced, give them a quick review after the jump and cop a pair now on eBay.

Nike SB Zoom Bruin Mulder | Available

Would Nike SB retro some releases of the past? If they did begin such an endeavor, it would make sense to start with the earlier Season 1 releases, like the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Mulder’, which featured a basic White/Blue colorway. Well, no retros yet, but the Mulder colorway is brought back in the Nike SB Zoom Bruin, previewed on Sneaker News last September. Again, the simple colorway shines on the Zoom Bruin – arguably the most casual-looking shoe in the Nike SB roster – as Richard Mulder’s Nike SB legacy lives on in a different form. Flatspot has these available now for purchase so take a look after the jump and let us know what other classic Nike SB colorways you’d like to see on differing models.

Nike Air PR1 White Neutral Grey

If you caught last night’s feature of Sneaker News’ exploration of the ShoeZeum, you’d know that Jordan Geller, the mad curator behind the greatest sneaker showcase/exhibit ever created, has a special place in his heart for the Nike Air Pressure. The guy’s got two pairs! The Air Pressure might be too expensive for production today, so Nike twisted the original idea and released the Nike Air PR1 – a stripped down version of the Air Pressure – that featured no Pump module on the heel. This new white and neutral grey colorway leaves colorways to the imagination (as do all tonal-white sneakers), and perhaps would make a great base for a custom project. mita-sneakers has their pairs in now so take a look below and let us know what you think.

Nike Air Max 1 Bright Mandarin Mineral Blue

Last October, Sneaker News brought you an exclusive look at an upcoming Nike Air Max 1 colorway for the Summer 2011 season. The upper, splashed with teal blue and bright orange, resembled the Miami Dolphins uniforms to a tee, with an light mint colored outsole adding an extra spark of flavor. Our readers seemed to have loved the colorway, so now it’s time to get them on your feet because these have begun to hit Nike Sportswear retailers overseas. Titolo of Switzerland just got their’s in, so you can expect these at your local spot soon. In the meantime, check out the new images below and let us know if you still like the colorway!

Air Jordan VII Orion Blue Available @ WEST NYC

Releasing next weekend is the Air Jordan VII Retro in White, Orion Blue, Black, and Infrared. It’s been a slow and quiet front for Air Jordan Retros in March, leaving the Orion Blues to lone cop for the month, but that was welcome relief considering March is sandwiched between two months filled with releases (Playoff XIII and BHM III in February, Bordeaux in April). Michael accomplished a helluva lot in the Air Jordan VII, winning an Olympic Gold Medal in the ’92 Summer Games, right after winning his second straight NBA title. WEST NYC has these available a week early so head there to get your pair now, or you can snag ‘em now from eBay.

Nike SB Dunk High Seahawks New Images

The 2011 NFL season is in jeopardy but you gotta assume cooler heads will prevail when billions can be made and even if that revenue might be stunted this year, Nike still looks to be positioned optimally to profit from the gridiron.  The Swoosh’s exclusive NFL outfitter contract commences in 2012 with plenty of time for negotiations in the interim, and the Nike SB NFL Pack is still on schedule for a Q2 release.  Key among these is the above-pictured Nike SB Dunk High ‘Seahawks’, an all-suede sneaker inspired by Seattle’s vintage uniforms.  The Deep Royal and Noble Green combo is as pretty as a Steve Largent touchdown sprint and while these are slated to drop here in the States as a May release, UK skateshop Flatspot looks to ship theirs a bit sooner.

The History of Supreme x Vans Sneaker Collaborations @ Complex

In late 2009, Sneaker News showed you the History of Supreme Sneaker Collaborations, many of which were crafted in conjunction with the original skateboarding sneaker brand, Vans.  We’ve seen a bunch of additions to that heritage in the intervening months, so as they are wont to do, Marc Ecko’s Complex.com set to making a list of the best Vans x tag team efforts.  The list starts off appropriately with 1996′s original camo-covered Supreme x Vans Old Skools and takes us up through notable releases like the Public Enemy and Bad Brains packs, all the way up through the suede-n-mesh joints that hit retail yesterday plus the upcoming zebra-striped pairs.  Click through for a preview and head over to Complex for the complete list.
