Air Jordan 2011 UNC Tar Heels PE

The North Carolina Tar Heels have captured the #2 seed in the tough East region of the 2011 NCAA March Madness Tournament and will begin their championship run tomorrow night in fashion. Check out the Air Jordan 2011 UNC Tar Heels PE, featuring a luxurious university blue upper on the molded leather mudguard. Matching the blue upper is the tongue and inner lining, with a blue-tinted translucent outsole completing this pristine package. The Tar Heels have been recipients of Air Jordan PEs for years, but this latest PE captures Jordan’s love of the game with the heroic colorway used as the primary feature of this special edition. Will these see a release? Previous Tar Heel PEs did not, but stick with Sneaker News for updates regarding a possible release of this great colorway as well as more PEs, and check out the detailed gallery below.

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Teal Abyss | April 2011

The upcoming ‘Blood Splatter’ edition will offer an unprecedentedly bold take on the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski this fall, a sneaker whose subtle styling has heretofore dictated that the above pictured two-tone look is among its wilder renditions.  Check out the Teal suede Janoskis, a nice warm weather colorway whose Abyss accents conjure up images of a deep sea diving expedition.  April’s shaping up to be the biggest month for Vacaville’s finest since his signature’s debut two summers ago, with the midtop silhouette also seeing its first release next month.  Click through to see more of the Teal lows and let us know which of the April Zoom Stefan Janoskis you prefer.  via N-SB

Nike LeBron 8 P.S. White Black Sport Red | Release Info

Nike Basketball’s third design of the Nike LeBron 8 is designed specifically for LeBron James during post-season play. Featuring a lighter package thanks to the use of Nike Fuse and a more responsive ride provided by forefoot Zoom, the LeBron 8 P.S. has some high expectations to meet both on the court and for collectors. Of course, LeBron James wants nothing more than to win championships (which was the primary reason why he bolted from Cleveland), but the general public and more importantly the sneaker-collecting society expect nothing but the best from a Nike LeBron shoe. There’s no doubt that the LeBron 8 P.S. is one of the most advanced performance basketball shoes ever created, but whether or not it’ll have that ‘collectibility’ won’t be determined until April 16th, when the LeBron 8 P.S. will release. We’ve got new images for you below so take a look and let us know if the LeBron 8 P.S. is a must-have for you.

Nike Blazer Mid Premium White Chenille Swoosh

On Tuesday, Sneaker News brought you a first look at Nike Sportswear’s ‘White Pack’ containing four iconic silhouettes and one updated classic, and while the Air Force 1 and Dunk were both pictured in ice-on-white hightop designs, the Blazer was conspicuous by its absence.  Well here’s a brand new Nike Blazer Mid Premium that certainly looks the part, its leather vamp contrasted nicely by a tonal chenille Swoosh, but we’ve yet to receive word that these are in fact part of the aforementioned group.  It almost doesn’t matter the designation when we as sneakerheads now have another option for white summer sneakers, so click through for a better look at this white-on-white Blazer Mid and check back with us for word on its possible affiliation plus a US release date; they just dropped at Swiss sneaker spot Titolo.

Nike Air Foamposite One Black Electric Green New Photos

While the number of Foamposite colorways issued by Nike Sportswear seems to be a polarizing topic, few have doubted the Nike Air Foamposite One in black and Electric Green on purely aesthetic grounds.  The newest Foam One palette is like an improved version of 2007′s Cactus colorway, its translucent sole a more natural fit with the model’s history that quite frankly makes for a more exciting shoe to see.  Neon green’s been one of the hot accent colors in the sneaker game for a good while now (and intermittently for as long as we can remember) and with some of the latest formulations, we can’t help but wonder what these might look like with, say, a Metallic Pewter upper or maybe even with some white thrown in.  Click through to get a better look at these new pics courtesy of Kicks-Crew and let us know if you plan to buy the black/Electric Green .

Nike Air Flow OG Colorway

Sneaker News has shown you a few previews of its Lunar-soled update, but today we’re happy to have our first look at the first Nike Air Flow releases since the inception of the Swoosh’s Sportswear division.  The Air Flow was introduced in 1989 as a top of the line technical runner, its neoprene sock construction serving as a forebear to modern classics like the Air Presto and with its distinctive heel cup, there’s even a bit of Air Max 90 Current Huarache foreshadowing.  But unlike that updated model, these are true to the original, right down to the vibrant colorway that’s aged as well as any Nike classics.  Click through to see more of the upcoming retro and stick with Sneaker News for the release date and possible additional colorways.  via EK

Nike Air Max Fly By Russell Westbrook Away PE

Kevin Durant scored his first career victory over LeBron James in his sixth try last night, but the NBA’s scoring leader isn’t the only reason Oklahoma City was able to push its winning streak to five over the Miami Heat.  Giving credit where it’s due includes props to the Thunder’s new frontline and another solid performance from Russell Westbrook.  OKC’s point guard is enjoying the finest season of his career, so ‘Why Not’ give him a new Nike Basketball player exclusive, this time in the form of the Nike Air Max Fly By.  Westbrook donned this Air Max Fly By away PE at American Airlines Arena and now has his chioce of Zoom or Max Air cushioning for the rest of the season.  Will stick with the AM Fly By or switch back to the Zoom Hyperfuse?  Your best way to find out is by sticking with Sneaker News to see the latest in NBA Feet, and be sure to click through to get more shots of these where you can let us know which ones you prefer when you leave a comment.

Nike Air Max Go Strong White Black Club Purple

Nike Sportswear has issued a few hybrid models comprised of design elements from the flagship Air Max running series, but this latest looks to reach to an unexpected source for one of its key features.  The Nike Air Max Go Strong is pretty clearly a combination of Air Max 93 and Air 180 aesthetics, but its name feels more like a basketball shoe and sure enough the black ‘wave’ on this pair seems to strongly resemble the Air Go LWP.  This first pair is done in a colorway that’ll make anyone who considers themselves a Sacramento Kings homer a bit sad but it’s a solid look for summer and just hit select NSW retailers including Swiss sneaker spot Titolo.

Jordan Jeter Cut White Pitch Black Metallic Silver

Long before CC Sabathia signed a contract as big as his on-mound presence, Derek Jeter was Jordan Brand’s main man in New York.  The Yankee captain remains JB’s sole signature baseball player and today Sneaker News has our first look at the de-cleated version of his 2011 sneakers.  The Jordan Jeter Cut manages an appropriate mix of Air Jordan aesthetics thanks to patent leather framing its side panels and toe plus faux carbon fiber on the outrigger, which bridges the gap into this crosstrainer’s most important performance element: superior lateral stability.  It’s critical for Jeter to be able to move side to side as he continues to prowl a huge range at shortstop and now you can buy this white and Pitch Black pair from FinishLine.

Style: 440753-101
Color: White/Pitch Black-Metallic Silver
