Back in the days before broadband, when Eastbay was your average sneakerhead’s best source for info, cheerleading shoes were the closest thing you could get to a custom look. NIKEiD came around and changed all that, but even if you can design your own 1of1 in any number of different styles on that site and its competitors, there’s still a certain undeniable value in being able to switch up your colors on the fly. Check out these new adidas Originals Superstar II IS lowtops, a new release that comes with four distinct ‘color cards’ which enable you to go with white, red, yellow or green side panel stripes. These joints slide into the inner side panels with ease, meaning you can swap ‘em out or go with the equally satisfying translucent Stripes look and perhaps change the laces. Click through to see more of this new Superstar II and grab yours from select adidas Originals retailers like Caliroots.

Back in December, Sneaker News gave you a first look at the Nike Zoom KD III in Team Bank colorways suited for everything from rec league all the way up through college hoops. The color-on-white KDIIIs dropped in their red, green and blue editions earlier this month, leaving us wondering to where the black joints we’d profiled in late ’10 had run off. The search is over now, as we’re starting to see the white/black Zoom KD III TB hit select Nike Basketball retailers like House of Hoops, their ultra-simple design providing both ‘home’ and ‘away’ looks for ballers in need of a fresh pair. Click through to see more, let us know how these compare to some of the others we’ve seen and stick with Sneaker News to see what colorways Kevin Durant himself will be wearing in our ongoing NBA Feet feature.

Pete Eldridge joined adidas Skateboarding back in 2009 and just like fellow Jersey guy Tim O’Connor, Eldridge’s signature sneakers have become part of Three Stripes’ recurring skate lineup. The latest adidas Ronan is done in a colorway as simple as the spring 2011 releases from earlier this year, though they come off quite a bit differently thanks to a new blocking pattern that sees grey suede on the toe with black taking over for the rear sections. White cup sole and gold foil stamped on the lateral side and heel keeps the classic adi-style alive and you can find these at adidas Skate shops around the country including Premier.

Nike Training reserves its PEs and special editions for the most elite athletes. Manny Pacquiao certainly fits that mold. Here’s another look at the Nike Zoom Huarache TR Low inspired by Manny’s home country of the Philippines, adopting the flag colors infused with Manny’s personal Nike logo. This second look sheds light on a few more detials, like the pristine blue-to-white gradient midsole and the iced-out translucent outsole. A release for this special edition of the Zoom Huarache TR Low has not yet been confirmed, but with Manny’s upcoming match with Mosley, you can bank on Nike coming up with something outstanding to commemorate the bout (as well as something even bigger should PacMan come out on top). There is a size 10 available right now for customers in the Philippines only, so take another look below and check out the auction from biljen18 on eBay.

The Sneaker News voters have spoken, as the Sneaker News March Madness OG Air Jordan Tournament field has been whittled down to eight of the greatest Air Jordans of all time. With four big-time match-ups scheduled for the Elite Eight round, we’re opening up all the polls tonight for you to get your votes in. While many of the match-ups have been easily decided (with the exception of last round’s Air Jordan III White/Cement taking a slim margin over the Carmine VI), the Elite Eight match-ups could go down to the wire. Again, the polls are now open, and you have until midnight Wednesday to get your votes in, so don’t miss out on the final rounds of the biggest sneaker voting feature ever created!

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat took a night off from their current five game winning streak to make an appearance at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, Florida. The two superstars were joined by Wade’s sons, Zion and Zaire, all of whom attended the tennis match between the current world number 1 tennis player Rafael Nadal and Japanese tennis player Kei Nishikori. D.Wade’s son, Zaire, flipped the coin before the match. LeBron James was seen wearing a pair of Nike LunarEclipse+ in White/Red/Black, Dwyane Wade wore all-white lifestyle shoes (perhaps the Jordan Classic ’82), and Wade’s sons had on the Air Jordan ONE6ONE7 and Air Jordan 2011. Continue reading for a visual recap of LeBron and Wade’s appearances and let us know what you think.

The upcoming Air Jordan III Retro for kids stirred up some excitement for its apparent Bulls-specific colorway. White, Grey, and Crimson is a nice combination of colors for the Bulls fanatic – or so it seemed at the time. Here’s another look at the soon-to-release Air Jordan III for kids; the ‘Crimson’ appears to take on more of a punk hue, and these new images show rainbow-treated laces. Of course a simple lace-swap will do just fine if you’ve got feet small enough, but remember this isn’t the first time Jordan Brand went rainbow-crazy on a pair of Jordan Retros (the Air Jordan VI comes to mind). Kickscrew has extra images for you to look at below so take a look and let us know what you think.
Style: 441140-101
Color: White/Crimson-Neutral Grey-Wolf Grey
