Rewind to Saturday morning last week and you’ll embark upon a week’s worth of breaking news and sneaker stories. Of course, Sneaker News keeps you on top of the game, so here’s a quick summary of this week’s top stories. Starting off, the Sneaker News March Madness OG Air Jordan Tournament came to a close, and the Air Jordan XI Concord was named the winner. Dwyane Wade and Jordan Brand unveiled the Jordan Fly Wade, Agent D-3’s first signature shoe. We also got a look at two upcoming Air Jordan V releases that will surely be quick sell-outs once they drop. The Space Jam XI made its way onto a Nike SB Dunk Low and the Nike SB Dunk ‘Cheech & Chong’ made its way onto CNBC. Episode 1 of The LeBrons debuted, as did four sick new colorways of the Air Jordan 2011. Stussy is collaborating with Nike once again, and you might be surprised at the model that will be at the center of this collaboration.
With Gilbert Arenas returning from injury and the NCAA March Madness Tournament coming to a close, you know there was some great on-court Feet, but celebrities like Jim Jones, Jimmy Fallon, and Jerry Seinfeld had their say in this week’s Celebrity Feet. Switching back to Air Jordans, Sneaker News gave you a look at some rare PEs and OG vintage pieces as well as some superbly executed custom sneakers, like the ‘Fadeaway’ Air Jordan XII. Sneaker Con hit up the nation’s capital the DC sneakerheads came through 2,300+ strong with some fine kicks. Sneaker News continued its ShoeZeum feature with a look at the Nike Basketball showcase which spans nearly four decades of Nike Basketball as well as the ‘Break Room’, which focuses on Nikes inspired by recreational activities. Finally, Sneaker News put a spotlight on MJ on the Olympic stage for this week’s Michael Jordan Through The Years feature.
