In early December of last year, Sneaker News showed you a rare unreleased sample of the Nike SB Dunk High dubbed ‘distressed’, for the treatment given to the suede material on the upper. These new images of a brand new pair shed more light on this unreleased sample from 2003, which shows the distressed (or ‘destressed’ for this pair) suede material in its original, pre-worn form. Whether its set to mimic worn-out suede, or an attempt to make an all-new material, we certainly are distressed that these never did release. Something like cross between the Tweed, Maple, and Wheat Highs, perhaps these were all too similar to other releases at the time. Check out the new images below and let us know if you would have copped these if a release occurred. Better yet, there’s a sample pair right now from chisan-studio on eBay.
