Asics Gel Lyte III Spring/Summer 2011 Colorways

Asics’ flagship runner, the Gel Kayano is on its 17th (!) release this year, but the brand’s most popular retro model reached its peak three years in.  The Asics Gel Lyte III is one of those quirky classic designs that deserves to see a million colorways, its split tongue and triple-density cushioning system having carved out a distinct niche over the years.  Pictured above are two new drops for the spring season, one that offers an un-OG look with its tonal green-on-white look plus another that offers a vague nod to a model that released the same year as the original GLIIIs, the ‘Infrared’ Nike Air Max 90.  These popped up at a few locations last month but if you missed your chance to grab one check out the stock currently available from CrookedTongues.

Here we get a look at some new backstage pics from before and after his Coachella performance, including a shot of Mr. West wearing the Yeezy 2 standing side by side with Ibn Jasper sporting a black pair of the original Yeezy’s. The first of many comparison shots to come, check out a better look after the jump and stay tuned for all the latest pics and info on the x . via LRG

Nike LeBron 8 P.S. Black Sport Red White | New Photos

LeBron James just rocked the Black/Sport Red-White colorway of the Nike LeBron 8 P.S. last night during Game 3 of the Heat/Sixers series, and so far, the LeBron 8 P.S. has been serving LRJ pretty well. A quick 3-0 lead in the series while averaging around 25 points, 6 assists, 12 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block per contest, Jason Petrie’s P.S. design has LeBron on the right track. Here’s another detailed look at the in the ‘Away’ colorway; it features a colorway similar to that ‘Portland Game’ PE of the LeBron 8 V2, with the black upper, white-bordered swoosh in red, white outsole, and red Max Air unit. These are set for a release on May 13th, a date LeBron and the Heat will likely live to experience. Check out the new detailed images below and let us know what you think. via IST.

Air Jordan 60+ Hare Unreleased Sample

The Air Jordan 60+ was introduced in 2009 as a multi-Air Jordan hybrid that paid tribute to Michael 60+ point performances. Jordan Brand also followed that up with the Air Jordan VII Defining Moments Package, a set of two Air Jordan VII colorways that also represented Michael’s 60+ point outing against Orlando in January of ’93. Here’s a look at an unreleased sample colorway of the Air Jordan 60+ in the ‘Hare’ colorway; it features the two-toned upper of white and soft beige with the red/white/green tongue seen on the Hare VII. These were slated for a released in late 2009, but were scrapped in favor of other Air Jordan releases of that season – notably the Air Jordan XI Space Jam. Certainly one of the more intriguing 60+ colorways to fall in front of our eyes, so check out the extra images below and check out the final price of these samples from identitiesrevealed on eBay.

SneakersBR x Nike Dunk Low A Closer Look

Last September Nike Sportswear collaborated with SneakersBR, the premier sneaker website in Brazil, to release a limited edition set of the Nike Dunk Low using a tonal-upper theme and white midsole/outsoles. Jeff Staple, himself no stranger to great sneaker collaborations (ahem, Pigeons), recently took a trip out to Sao Paulo and met up with the SneakersBR crew, and was presented with a gift – a 1 of 12 SneakersBR x Nike Dunk Low in Green/White. The shoes are Brazilian made and come packaged with four sets of laces, a registration card, a custom t-shirt, custom insoles, and a special carrying case, and we now get a look at these extra details thanks to Jeff. Check out the additional shots below and let us know what you think.

The latest UNDERCOVER x Nike ‘Gyakusou’ collaboration features two rugged, outdoorsy colorways of the Nike Zoom Structure 14+ running shoe, but here’s one with a decidedly different look.  This new Zoom Structure 14 comes in the tonal look we’ve seen so much of since the 2008 global financial meltdown sent the fashion world into ‘mature’ mode, their Green Apple uppers a suitable design were this model slated to join an Air Attack Pack redux.  Click through to see more of perhaps the springiest of all runners released this year and grab yours today from RMK.

Nike Blazer Mid Obsidian White Square Dots

Sneaker News just showed you one of the last pairs of Nike Tokis created with a cute little microdot pattern for ladies, and now here’s one for the guys that’s one degree different for just about every thinkable design element.  First off, it’s not a Toki but rather one of the original ‘lifestyle’ looks in the Nike Blazer Mid.  These joints come in a darker navy blue (Obsidian, to be precise), and it’s more of a denim than the Tokis’ canvas uppers.  These feature a similar dotted pattern but instead of tiny circles, these slightly larger squares offer a more masculine (or perhaps neutral) appeal and are nicely finished off with leather accents.  Click through to get a better look and check back with us soon for updates on the US release.  via Dunk

Nike Air Venture VNTG Neutral Grey Photo Blue Neo Lime Sail

Nike Sportswear has taken a concerted effort in getting back to its roots. Last year, we saw the Nike All Court make an indomitable return to the lifestyle game, but 2011 has seen more from the Nike Running department. The Nike V-Series made a welcome return in OG and new colorways, like this Neutral Grey, Photo Blue, Neo Lime, and soft Sail colorway of the Nike Air Venture. Unlike the Lunar Venture, which took a step forward, this one takes it back with the signature VNTG treatment on the midsole. Check out the extra shots below and pick up a pair now from id4shoes on eBay.

Nike Air Max Flight 11 NBA PEs | Available @ House of Hoops

Just two of of the four NBA players enshrined with these Air Max Flight ’11 PE’s are still in action at the moment, but the other two, Tyreke Evans and Steph Curry, have bright futures ahead of ‘em with plenty of Playoff appearances in the cards. Evans, Curry, Russell Westbrook, and Brandon Roy make up the core of rising backcourt stars in the league, and while it isn’t very likely that any of the four will receive his own signature shoe, they’ve got enough game to be represented thoroughly on Nike Basketball’s best sneakers. Sneaker News has already shown you the Nike Air Max Flight ’11 NBA PE’s before, but take a detailed look at all four below; once you’ve decided which one is your favorite, head over to House of Hoops for a pair right now.

WeAreHQ x Puma Suede Mid Royal Wedding Customs

With British Royal Wedding spoofs winning the meme du jour award, we’re somewhat surprised there haven’t been more sneaker tie-ins with Prince William’s nuptials.  It was somewhat natural to see New Balance, who keeps factories running in the UK, to offer their own salute to the gala event, but this new Puma Suede Mid Royal Wedding custom collection is a bit less expected.  London-based WeAreHQ had six different street artists customize seven pairs of the royal blue midtop Suede silhouette with results ranging from a wacky riding boot design to more obvious nods like a veiled getup.  Click on the jump below to see the entire set and let us know which one’s best.

Nike Air Max Light Neutral Grey Photo Blue Neo Lime | Available

What would happen if you combined the ‘Sprite’ and ‘Wolf Grey’ Nike LeBron 8 V2 Lows into a single colorway?  It might look something like this new Nike Air Max Light, a retro runner that quite naturally fits this blend of neutral base and springy accents.  In fact, the palette fits so perfectly you might even wonder if these could have been an OG colorway from this model’s 1989 debut as the ‘Air Max II’.  But it is in fact a fresh look and one that’s bound for sleeper hit status this season, so click through to see more images and grab yours from select Nike Sportswear retailers like Schuh-You.
