For ‘Flash’ to stay flashy, he needs some light basketball shoes. Say ‘hello’ to the Air Jordan Fly Wade, Jordan Brand’s lightest performance basketball shoe ever created. Sneaker News gave you a firsthand look at the media unveiling of the first Jordan Brand x Dwyane Wade signature shoe, and the Fly Wade is already seeing positive results as Dwyane and the Miami Heat are sitting pretty at 3-0 in their series against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Fly Wade boasts a number of technological advances aside from the super-lightweight advantages, like the no-sew heat-bonded upper construction and Zoom x Max Air combination for the cushioning. This Black/Varsity Red-Dark Grey colorway isn’t set for a release until next Saturday, but grab a pair right now for under retail from footsoldiers on eBay.

The Nike Air Max 95 got a nice refresher on Nike iD, allowing the ‘OG’ black/grey gradient to be an iD-able option. However, you might have to put your ideas to rest because the Neutral Grey/Chlorine Blue colorway is about to hit Nike Sportswear retailers. Releasing tomorrow is this summer-ready colorway of the AM95, featuring a multi-grey gradient on the upper paired with the dazzling Chlorine Blue that adds a cool zest to the muted colorway. Sneaker News previewed this colorway in 2010 and it was already deemed one of the better Air Max 95s to release in recent memory, and tomorrow’s the official release date for these bad boys. Some retailers have allowed them to hit shelves early, but starting tomorrow, they’ll be everywhere, so peep these new images below and pick up a pair right now from shaolin8 on eBay.

Kevin Durant’s got that ‘EPIC’ in him. The intangible force the propels great basketball players into legends of the sport. That indescribable ‘IT’ factor that manifests itself for 48 minutes a night. KD, the league’s top scorer for the second season in a row, dropped 23 on Wednesday en route to Game 2 victory, and is just another two short of advancing into the Second Round in a match-up against either the Spurs or the Grizzlies. Kevin Durant’s been wearing the Nike Zoom KD III POP, which features a White/Photo Blue upper, a two-toned blue gradient on the upper, and orange trim on the swoosh border and KD logo on the tongue. He’s likely to wear a different colorway once the series shifts ‘Away’ for KD, so check back with Sneaker News for the best NBA Feet coverage of the 2011 Playoffs, and pick up a pair of the KD III POP now from 95soleman on eBay.

It wasn’t too shocking to see Bodega’s ‘Black Cat Pack’ Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka followed up with two other Air Footscape Woven Motion colorways, but what is particularly interesting about this pair is how the weave has been implemented. Unlike all of the other Nike (Footscape) Woven releases we’ve seen, these don’t utilize a basketweave to comprise the entire upper, but rather opt for a criss-crossing design whereby ribbons of textile intermingle with a dash-perfed leather upper till they converge at the tongue to form eyelet loops. It’s a unique look even for this avant garde series and you can see more when you click on the jump below. via Kicks-Crew

Nike SB releases have long been classified by their box, marking off the different eras of the Nike Skateboarding venture into easy to distinguish phases. The blue box era has been underway for quite a while now, and there are a lot of people who will be happy to see it go. Beginning in June with the Zoom Eric Koston One, the age of the Nike SB red box will commence, hopefully bringing with it the promise of brighter things to come. Could the new box be a turning point for Nike SB to recapture some of the magic of the early years? Let us know what you think. via ftsldrs

Gingham is one of those patterns you tend to associate with warm weather fashion, so it’s particularly interesting to see this dark application on a new Nike Dunk High. We recently saw a similar motif on an Obsidian Dunk High, but unlike those March releases that featured aqua laces and a white/royal sole, this new edition goes the all-black-everything route, save the obligatory white weave on its plaid ankle collar. We can’t help but wonder what these might have looked like with a gum outsole, but they’re quite fetching all the same and you can grab your pair from the same store that held exclusive rights to the others, England’s JD Sports.

The Air Jordan Fly Wade has yet to debut on an NBA court, but it is likely to happen soon if the Miami Heat can continue its winning ways. After taking a 2-0 lead over the Philadelphia 76ers, Dwyane Wade and the Heat are cool, calm, and collected, and will likely advance to the second round where they will face either the Boston Celtics or the New York Knicks, two teams that the Miami Heat had a tough go with during the season. The Air Jordan Fly Wade will certainly help Wade to victory, as it is the lightest Jordan Brand basketball shoe ever created. Check out these new detailed images of the two June 2011 colorways and let us know which one of the two you like better. via in52.

Mineral Blue has been among the more popular looks this spring from Nike and Jordan Brand, and this is particularly true of WMNS sneaker releases. Have a look at a new Nike Air Max 90 for women that contrasts the aforementioned turquoise shade with white mesh on the toe and ankle collar plus just enough Obsidian hits to achieve a Tiffany-like result the ladies are sure to love. So how do these compare to the various other designs we’ve seen with a look similar to Diamond Supply Co.’s legendary Dunk Low SB? Click through to see more images, let us know what you think and expect these at select Nike Sportswear retailers soon; Kicks-Crew already has theirs.

Now that you’ve seen pretty much all that The ShoeZeum has to offer in the first nine parts of our inside look, what’s left to say? You’ve just had a look at perhaps the most impressive sneaker collection on earth. Are there better concentrated collections of Air Jordans or Air Force 1′s or SB Dunks out there? Maybe, but you’d have a tough time finding a single one possessing such a thorough cross-section of just about every collectible Nike genre and category. With The ShoeZeum, Jordan Geller has created a warehouse-size museum-caliber exhibit featuring the best of Nike’s almost 40 year span, and while there may be a handful of notables missing, it does a pretty staggering job of covering ground, especially when you consider that over 99% of the shoes are deadstock and a size 11-12. Since our trip out to San Diego last month, The ShoeZeum was honored by a VIP visit from Mark Parker, Tinker Hatfield and a collection of Nike executives who were just as floored by Jordan Geller’s creation as we were.
You’ve had a chance to see some of the highlights in our Inside The ShoeZeum galleries, but we thought we’d finish strong with two final treats. The first is a video found after the jump that will give you perhaps the best representation of what it’s actually like to make your way through the entire ShoeZeum. Filmed in one take, the video follows the first person path of a visitor entering the building and making their way through every aisle, rack, shelf and shoe. In real time, it took almost an hour and a half to cover both floors of The ShoeZeum, but we sped up the video for you so you can check out the whole thing in 17 minutes. Grab a drink and a snack and take some time to check out a fast-paced stroll through all the wonders found inside.
Over on Sneaker News HD, you can check out Jordan Geller’s Top 30 Sneakers in The ShoeZeum. With the overwhelming magnitude of the 2000-plus shoes found within, it’s easy to overlook some of the gems that get lost in the mix among all those shoes. We asked Jordan to pull his favorite thirty for a better focus on the best of the best. Check out Jordan’s choices along with his commentary on each selection. Thanks for joining us on our trip Inside The ShoeZeum. We sincerely hope you enjoyed it. Love it or hate it, you certainly can’t knock the love, dedication and execution in putting together the ultimate Nike showcase. A big thanks to Jordan for his hospitality and eagerness to share his ShoeZeum and love for sneakers with the world.

It looks like 2011 is shaping up to be a pretty strong year for the Air Jordan III and here’s another reason why. Images have just emerged of a new Air Jordan III colorway expected to show up some time this year. This version features a an always popular grey motif, but makes some interesting choices in materials to spice things up a bit. For the upper, the shoe sports a combination of shiny grey pebbled leather with a translucent patent used for the mudguard and black carbon on the elephant print areas. No release info has been confirmed at this point, but check out some more pics after the jump and let us know what you think. via Sole-Patrol
