The newest Nike Dunk High Premium represents a curious tangency in Nike Sportswear’s plans for Q2. When the white pair of crinkled patent leather Dunk Highs first came onto the scene, they were dubbed a part of NSW’s ‘White Pack’, a collection of ‘blank’ classics that was apparently also extended onto a recently revealed pair of Blazers. But then on the first of April we also saw a new Obsidian crinkled patent pair (no foolin’), and while it’s obvious they’re not part of the White Pack, could this motif be extended into more colors and place the white joints in the center of a two-pack venn diagram? Let’s hope the answer is yes cos we could envision a variety of tones looking quite nice in this tumbled patent/ice sole look. But even if the buck stops here with the Obsidians, the extension was well worth it, this pair’s deep uppers serving to bring out the blues in their translucent bottoms. When you compare the first photos we saw of this Air Jordan III Retro GS to the released version, it’s like night and day. And while we’ve seen plenty of Jays altered or nixed altogether in the sampling process, all it took to radically shift the result of this latest kids Air Jordan release was a brightly colored set of laces. The spectrum-running strings that fasten these AJIIIs have become the signature element, though the white, grey and Crimson colorway is itself an interesting twist on the classic Chicago Bulls palette. These joints recently hit select Jordan Brand retailers across the country and you can grab a pair today from Extra Butter.

It’s not nearly as commonly released as the models that sandwich it at the century marks but don’t sleep on the adidas Originals ZX 750. This classic runner has that same vintage style born some two decades ago, a look that’s become something of a default in capturing the middle ground between style and comfort. These two new colorways for summer feature nearly identical colorblocking, both done with white-accented black bases, the blue edition adding a black midsole when compared to its bright green counterpart. Click through for more images of both pairs and look for these at select Three Stripes retailers like Eastbay.

Diamond Supply Co. has been collaborating with skate sneaker brand DVS for a while now, so when word came last summer that the brand that brought you the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Tiffany’ had signed on with the Podium Distribution parent company of DVS, Lakai and Matix, it seemed like a natural fit. Sneaker News showed you a few teaser shots back in October but any updates had been conspicuously absent until now, when we can show you the first two styles set to hit retail shortly. Pictured above is the Diamond Marquise, a model that clearly draws upon the Air Jordan III for inspiration, though its upper eyelet ‘wing’ is perhaps closer to the recently redesigned Dunk Mid SB. Joining those is a lower cut Black VVS model (confusingly enough, pictured in black and pewter), a silhouette that itself is quite reminiscent of the Blazer. Each of the silhouettes in the ZX classic running series is a legend in its own right, but few can match the casual appeal of the adidas Originals ZX 380. This particular design has perhaps the least technically-oriented design, a fact that makes it a go to design year after year. The latest ZX380 release adds just a hint of red to a colorway that’s all the rage right now, the rest of its body comprised of a variety of grey tones in suede, leather and nylon mesh. Click through to get a better look at the newest adidas Originals ZX380 and check for these at select Three Stripes retailers like End, who have a killer free worldwide shipping deal in effect thru Tuesday, April 19th.

Last December, Sneaker News brought you a firsthand look at the Jordan CP3.IV when it was unveiled in New Orleans. The Hornets, led by fearless point guard and Jordan Brand athlete Chris Paul, were sitting near the top of the league in the standings, and Paul was already an early candidate for MVP of the 2010-11 season. Nearly four months later, Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets are gearing up for the Playoffs and their probable first-round match-up against the San Antonio Spurs, owners of the best record in the league. You can see Chris Paul in action when the Playoffs kick off next week, and he might be rocking these tonal-white CP3.IVs during Home games. These are available now at Jordan Brand retailers so take a look below and let us know what you think. via Dunk.

Remember when Ken Griffey Jr. played for the Chicago White Sox? That lasted for 41 games before he packed his back home to Seattle. Although the South Side stop in his career wasn’t very memorable, here’s an all Black/White-Metallic Silver colorway of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 for kids, matching the White Sox uniforms; it features a black upper (nubuck and synthetic leather) with a white strap, swoosh, and midsole, and a metallic silver Max Air unit. The ‘Oreo’ treatment works quite well with the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 silhouette, and we’re certain these would have been a big hit had a men’s release went down. You can find these at Nike retailers now, so check out the extra shots below and pick up a new pair from footsoldiers on eBay.

Back in early March, Sneaker News showed you a spread of upcoming Nike Air Prestos done in super clean white-on-color blocking set to release this summer. Well it’s Q2 and they’re ‘upcoming’ no more, as five of the seven pairs we saw have just hit retail. These joints find their uni-colored neoprene ‘socks’ accented by white on the one-of-a-kind Presto lacing system and midsole, pairs in black, Crimson, Circuit Orange, Light Zen Grey and Chlorine Blue leaving us wondering to where the yellow and purple joints have run. Click through to get a better look at all five and grab yours today from NikeStore.

With the looming 4/20 inspired releases like the HUF Hupper and the Nike SB Dunk High ‘Cheech & Chong’, ‘green’ seems to be a common theme. Check out this new colorway of the New Balance CM1500, featuring a tonal green upper using buttery suede, breathable mesh, and flat leather. Last December’s New Balance 1500 in collaboration with La MJC and colette in Paris garnered a ton of response, and while this green suede version isn’t exactly a super-limited release, the basic beauty is worthy of an equal amount of praise. You can peep a few extra images below, so take a look and let us know what you think. via bostonclub.

Sneaker News aims to keep you on top of the world of sneakers, and once again, this past week proved that we’re at the top of the game. Starting off, the Nike SB Dunk High ‘Cheech & Chong’ release has been cancelled by Nike due to legal reasons, which may cause a spike in price of whatever pairs have leaked out. A number of new Air Jordan releases came to light, like the new Orion Blue shade of the AJ2011 and the upcoming Stealth version of the Air Jordan III. Sneaker News also presented you a nice side-by-side comparison of OG and Retro Bordeaux VIIs, giving you a hint of what your Retros may look like 20 years down the line. A new colorway of the LeBron 8 V/2 Low caught our attention, but it was a camouflage-print Zoom Kobe VI that snuck up on us and caught us by surprise.
Sticking with basketball news, adidas introduced the adidas adiZero Crazy Light, the world’s lightest basketball shoe. Weighing it at a mere 9.8 oz., the Crazy Light is 15% lighter than its next competitor. Nike Sportswear has collaborated with Bodega to produce a sweet new colorway of the Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka, part of a set of ‘Black Cat’ Footscape releases. Another Bodega collab with Nike made noteworthy buzz, as Sneaker News provided you with release info for the ‘Night Sky’ release. Nike Football unveiled the CR Mercurial Vapor SuperFly III, Cristiano Ronaldo’s newest football boot with the Swoosh, and celebrities and NBA players once again showed us their sick sneaker selections, like Wale’s Wolf Grey Air Jordan V. Sneaker News also continued its coverage of the ShoeZeum, bringing you even more in-depth walkthroughs of the immense showcase. And finally, a spotlight was placed on Michael Jordan and those rare instances during which he didn’t wear an Air Jordan shoe. Check out all the top stories from the past week by clicking below into the Sneaker News Weekly Rewind.

The Eminem x Air Jordan IV is one of the rarest Air Jordans ever produced (and yes, Jordan Geller of the ShoeZeum has a pair). If you can’t have ‘em, make ‘em, like what jwdanklefs did with this Nike Air Max 1 iD. Clearly he had the concept in mind when he chose the colorway, because the royal blue, grey, and black upper is quite similar to the Eminem IV, and adding the Jumpman Flight tongue label really sets these off. A simple iD colorway + a quick and easy add-on = one of the best ‘custom’ Air Max 1s we’ve ever seen – and the hardest part was waiting for the shoes to arrive! Check out another view of this Nike Air Max 1 iD x Air Jordan IV ‘Eminem’ custom below and let us know what you think.

You’ve seen these aplenty, and you might already have your pair on lock for release date (if you haven’t copped them early already), but the Air Jordan VII Bordeaux always deserves another look. The Light Graphite and Black upper, a subdued combination of colors, is hit with a blast of luxurious tones on the tongue and branding – the most eye-catching being the elegant Bordeaux red colorway. The tongue features splashes of yellow and blue, and the bottom sole and rear ’23′ panel features olive green for even more color contrast. Take another look below and you’ll see plenty of convincing beauty angles thanks to mita-sneakers, and be sure to grab these tomorrow at Jordan Brand retailers or on eBay.
